A list of puns related to "Shims"
Iβm just wondering because I see a lot of people using 2pc PF 2pc Gald/Shim and I donβt know if thatβs viable? I thought that we want that 25% physical dmg bonus at all costs. (My weapon is SoBP by the way.)
I absolutely love Changmin's new song Maniac, it just makes me so happy. I also love TVXQ's Something and Spellbound. They have that cheery retro feeling, just awesome.
I was wondering what other energetic fun songs they made :)
Edit: don't hesitate to recommend side tracks because I don't know them at all
This is definitely a waltism. Anyone remember the episode and what shim sham men translates to?
Changes:
You can download the release here.
I also posted an updated prerelease build of Jellyfin Media Player with the direct play bitrate fix and mpv version increase.
I've printed a few hundred shims that were suggested here: https://avery.cafe/blog/a-quick-fix-for-the-pinephone-keyboards-top-row/
If anyone wants some to fix their num key row issues, send me a message, I'll send them for no charge. Ive only got enough for a couple people right now, but if needed I can print more after for just the price of postage.
US & possibly international, however I have to see if I can get international stamps.
EDIT: I can ship to some countries internationally, one of them being Canada. I have 5 international stamps.
How long we have to wait for staking to start?
Posting this in case it helps anyone else. I just completed assembly of my 80x30 Birch uplift v2 and am very pleased with how it turned out.
One concern I had with the size of the desk was the potential for sagging in the center over time (especially since I plan to clamp monitor arms at the back toward the center).
I chatted with uplift to ask if it would be appropriate to shim the small gap between the center rail and the desktop and they informed me that they actually make and can provide shims.
They're pretty expensive for what they are ($10 for a set of two), but they are finished nicely, fit perfectly, and seem like they should help with any sagging in the future. Part number is FRM019-2PK but it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere on their site. I'm sure there are limitless DIY options, but this is convenient if you don't want to fabricate something yourself.
One other thing to note is that any sag without shims would be minimized since the gap to the crossbar is (i believe) only 3mm. After that, the crossbar itself would support the desktop directly.
Small album attached with pictures if anyone is interested. I'm very happy with the quality of the Birch top!

I need 2-3 shims, OD .730, ID .500 and thickness .002 is that a simple task or is such a thing readily available anywhere?
I typically write down on a scrap piece of wood or shim- which I subsequently lose or canβt find by the time I get to the chop saw.
I just had a handyman company come and replace the side door of my garage with a pre-hung steel door. After they left, I noticed they had placed three shims underneath the door frame. There's about a quarter-inch of space between the concrete garage floor and the bottom of the door frame. When I did my research on how to install a pre-hung door, the instructions always were to place caulk on the floor and place the door frame directly onto the caulk. Is what they did acceptable or is it going to cause problems?
The door is covered by an eave on the outside, and there's a six-inch step from the door sill to ground level, so I'm not terribly worried about water intrusion. I'm thinking of squirting some expanding foam underneath to fill in the dead space, followed by caulking the gap on the inside (leaving the outside uncaulked to prevent water from being trapped underneath).
I've seen videos where people will lightly grease the surface of the caliper so that the grease is between the caliper and the shim but I'm seeing conflicting practice regarding between the shim and pad ears.
