There are multiple statements in Naruto comparing Itachi to the Sanin, with Kisame saying Jiraiya was stronger than them and Orochimaru saying Itachi was stronger than him.

Just curious, each of them at their prime.
Do you think kakashi will showcase his dads abilities that made him renown as on the level of the 3 sanin.
I guess that's because they were all Sages? Minus Tsunade.
Or maybe because Sasuke has a troubled past?
Or maybe there is a name for them and I missed it?

Background: Spending most of his time reading books within the mansion library to expand his knowledge of the world and the kingdoms that were in play regarding the wars and how they all developed. He had gotten bored of it on some occasions so decided to work with his mother in creating tapestry and sowing. Seeing him take interests in different things his father then enrolled Sanin in Acting classes to add more to his repertoire of skills and add fame to the collective family names that were in the mansion. Later in his years he and his twin brother Arin are sent to Mistral in order to train themselves for when the return to Atlas for their inheritance. While in Mistral Arin learned a lot by being the servant and executioner of a the Shi family syndicate and going through extensive training under the boss of the syndicate Aka Shi. Aka ended up gifting to Sanin his Wired Gloves as a symbol of his loyalty to the syndicate to which Sanin took pride in yet he asked Aka to bail his brother out of prison as a favor to which he complied with. Once Sanin had reunited with Arin his first action was to burn down one of the businesses that the Shi syndicate controlled and took all the Lien with him and Arin before heading back to Atlas.
Who is the Strongest Sanin? I think the answer is none of them... and all of them. I think they, unlike their predecessors like the Third Hokage etc, they are unique in that they have a specialties and overwhelming power. They are not just fighters but a fighter and a medic, scientist, spymaster... they made never be as overwhelmingly powerful as the Third or Fourth or Second but in many ways there were more useful as they could contribute more to the village with their specialties.
Unrivaled medical abilities and a whole new system...
Incredible scientific advances and new jutsu...
A reliable and unrivaled spynetwork...
This is why in many ways there were greater then their predecessors, how they gave more and why they would never surpass the other Sanin...
Or so this is how I saw it...

BUT SPECIFICALLY: Naruto models after Orochimaru, Sasuke after Jiraiya, and Sakura after Tsunade
I do not remember anything else but it was on AO3 and specifically that important detail (I think they actually talked about it in the summary or tags specifically ?)
