Ramson and white asparagus - a match made in heaven. White asparagus, ramson butter with crispy ramson shoots, fresh ramson, ramson ham and ramson flavored celeriac mash. Paired with a Rheingau Riesling. Sooo good!

Traveling for wine to Rheingau/Mosel/Burgandy/Bordeaux
Hello all
I am traveling to Germany to visit some family members in september and wanted to make the trip all about wines. We plan on making stops in Rheingau and Mosel before we move into France to visit Burgandy and Bordeaux. I wanted to ask you guys if....
- Is Bordeaux and Burgandy worth going to in person? I read some things online that say wineries are not like those in the states and that I might be better off just staying in the town and drinking from a tasting room.
- What vinyards are a MUST VIST in each of the regions?
- If I wanted to bring back a collection of wines that I fall in love with for my collection, should I ship it back to the states or bring it back with me in those wine luggages?

Alsace or Rheingau or Mosel Riesling ?
Trimbach Riesling 2018
Another tasting of a Riesling, this time from Trimbach in the Alsace... a very pale lemon colour. On the nose, a medium(-) intensity with Primary aromas of Lemon, White Peach, Green Apple, Grapefruit and Acacia and Grass... On the palate an off-dry sweetness with high acidity and a medium level of alcohol. The body was medium with Primary aromas of Lemon, White Peach, Green Apple, Grapefruit and Secondary aromas hint of vanilla... A good refreshing Riesling ...Β I had a comparison between some Rieslings from the Mosel QmP (mostly SpΓ€tlese and Auslese) and some Rieslings from the Rheingau ... How do you think these different Riesling terroirs compare, and which do you prefer?

Upcoming/Smaller producers in Rheingau?
Hi there,
I will be visiting the Rheingau region for a weekend getaway next week and I know that this is a very traditional and classic wine region in Germany with a lot of big names like Weil, Kuhn, Schloss Johannisberg, Leitz etc. etc. I was wondering however if you guys have some tips for small-scale wineries putting out quality wines or upcoming producers so we can balance the big names (and prices) out with smaller ones! Thanks!!

Visiting Pfalz, Nahe, Rheingau and Mosel in a few weeks with my wife. Any recommendations (Food & wine)?
We will be staying about two days in each region, maybe a bit more in Mosel before going back home. Cheap rooms, the point will be to fill the car with wine and come back.
Recommendations on wineries to visit would be welcome we already have a few names in mind and will start booking soon.
Restaurants, if you have any, would be welcome. As any wine lovers do, we love eating.
