New Vitis Vinifera Grape Tree

Pretty excited I was given a Grape tree "Vitis Vinifera" from a friend of mine who works at a winery here in Washington. I'm not sure what to do with it yet since I've never worked with one of these before. I guess first thing is to just wait till spring to repot it into a training pot and see how it fill out and go from there. It's pretty big and all over the place now. Seems to have an inverse taper at the base so I'm not sure if I can do anything with that to thicken it up.

Here are some pics, let me know if you have any ideas or experience with these. ( Sorry for the bad pics.)

In vitro Anticoagulant Effect of Grape Seed Extract (Vitis vinifera) on Human Normal Blood Sample| European Journal of Medicinal Plants

Background: Herbs are currently being employed by scientists to treat a variety of disorders since they are safer and have less negative effects than pharmaceutical medications. Grape is an ancient herb that has been used for heart and blood vessel problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, skin care, and a variety of other ailments. Grape seeds contain much more polyphenols, which have anticoagulant and antithrombotic properties.

Materials and Methods: This study enlisted 20 normal blood samples from healthy persons ranging in age from 19 to 38 years. Before and after adding grape seed extraction (GSE) with different concentrations, prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) tests were performed (25 percent , 50 percent and 75 percent ).

The increased Prothrombin time and Activated partial thromboplastin time results of the blood samples in varied doses of the extract revealed that grape seed extract has an anticoagulant effect. In both the PT and APTT tests, the GSE demonstrated a high statistical significance (P= 0.000) in all concentrations.

Conclusion: This research reveals that GSE has a potent anticoagulant effect, suggesting that it could be utilised as a supplement to other anticoagulants to avoid thrombosis and cardiovascular disease.

Three years after planting this Lenoir Black Spanish grape has bestowed its blessings. This is a hardy and prolific cross breed between Vitis vinifera from France and Vitis aestivalis, a Native American species. Works well in Texas and will make a beautiful Cabernet!

Can I...DO anything with The Order of Vitis Vinifera?

I get this cool badge. Anna says this cool badge is the COOLEST badge. Cool. I like it, looks sick. First thing I do, go home, walk up to the trophy case. No dice. Uhm...ooookay. I look at it to see if it sells for a lot. One crown. Great. I try to equip it, think it might pop on like a mask. Like one of the billion masks chilling in my inventory from quests. Nope. Doesn't do shit. Can't even wear it, even though I wore it in the cutscene. Can I do ANYTHING with this fucker? It should be mega cool badge I had to do mega cool thing for, and it does not feel mega cool when it's rotting in my inventory right next to a cloth doll and an old key.

β€œHilling Up” β€’ Vitis Vinifera can be fragile, especially in the harsh winters of the northeast USA. By grafting, a vine can be protected against phylloxera, but the graft remains especially vulnerable to the cold. Hilling up soil over the graft is a simple but effective way to save them!
