A list of puns related to "Vinifera Grape"
Pretty excited I was given a Grape tree "Vitis Vinifera" from a friend of mine who works at a winery here in Washington. I'm not sure what to do with it yet since I've never worked with one of these before. I guess first thing is to just wait till spring to repot it into a training pot and see how it fill out and go from there. It's pretty big and all over the place now. Seems to have an inverse taper at the base so I'm not sure if I can do anything with that to thicken it up.
Here are some pics, let me know if you have any ideas or experience with these. ( Sorry for the bad pics.)

Background: Herbs are currently being employed by scientists to treat a variety of disorders since they are safer and have less negative effects than pharmaceutical medications. Grape is an ancient herb that has been used for heart and blood vessel problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, skin care, and a variety of other ailments. Grape seeds contain much more polyphenols, which have anticoagulant and antithrombotic properties.
Materials and Methods: This study enlisted 20 normal blood samples from healthy persons ranging in age from 19 to 38 years. Before and after adding grape seed extraction (GSE) with different concentrations, prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) tests were performed (25 percent , 50 percent and 75 percent ).
The increased Prothrombin time and Activated partial thromboplastin time results of the blood samples in varied doses of the extract revealed that grape seed extract has an anticoagulant effect. In both the PT and APTT tests, the GSE demonstrated a high statistical significance (P= 0.000) in all concentrations.
Conclusion: This research reveals that GSE has a potent anticoagulant effect, suggesting that it could be utilised as a supplement to other anticoagulants to avoid thrombosis and cardiovascular disease.

I plan to grow a very small amount of grapes in a small garden in the city of Frankfurt. It should be zone 7a to 8b according to different sources.
Do you think this will ever result in drinkable results - especially if one does not have any experience?
I prefer drinking red wine, but I guess a white grape variety will be better suited to the climate, right?Which of the following do you think will give the overall best experience in growing and drinking.
If possible, I would prefer to not go with hybrids etc.Are there any other grapes that I did not think of that you would recommend? Thanks!
Edit: Tennessee Valley; elevation 1000ft +/-200ft; 38ish latitude
I am looking to grow wine grapes. At first I was hoping to grow cab sav, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, and some French American hybrids. And I would prefer to not grow muscadines. Since I do not live in a Mediterranean climate, is it possible to even grow the vitis vinifera varieties?
Looks like the Laneige lip sleeping mask was reformulated this year. The new formulation is called βLaneige Lip Sleeping Mask Exβ and comes in the same Berry, Mint Choco, Grapefruit, and Apple Lime flavors. Has anyone tried both? How do they compare?

I've been looking for a new moisturizer for a while now (my current one isn't moisturizing enough, TO Moisturizing Factors for anyone wondering) and this moisturizer by Skingredients keeps calling to me but it's a LOT of money compared to TO. It's their Skin Good Fats moisturizer and can be found here if anyone's interested. Here is the ingredient list:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin [1], Ethylhexyl Palmitate [2], Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride [3], Butylene Glycol [4], Myristyl Myristate [5], Cetearyl Alcohol [5], Glyceryl Stearate [6], PEG-100 Stearate [6], Shea Butter Glycerides [3], Vitis Vinifera (Grape)Seed Oil [3], Ceramide NP [3], Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract [7], Niacinamide [8], Tocopheryl Acetate [9], Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract [10], Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract [11], Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer [5], Phenoxyethanol [12], Caprylyl Glycol [12], Disodium EDTA [13], Ethylhexylglycerin [12], Hexylene Glycol [4], Sodium Hydroxide [14], Potassium Sorbate [12], Sodium Benzoate [12], Citric Acid [14], Sodium Sulfite [12].
It does look good, I like to see ingredients like glycerin, shea butter, oats, vitamin e, niacinamide and ceramide np in a moisturizer - but is it worth it? It's 55 euro for a 45 ml container. They do refills also. Does one need to spend this much on a moisturizer or is there something else on the market that I'm overlooking? Ideally cruelty free (but if you have a non cruelty free rec please let me know because I can then go search for a cruelty free alternative).
Thanks in advance!
I've noticed this for a couple months now i wanted to make sure it wasn't any other products but every time i use the VLCC - Matte Look Depigmentation Sun Screen Gel Creme, any pimple i have is like half the size or even completely flat when i wash my face at the end of the day.
Ive done like tiny 'experiments' lmao of like only using this without any other product and other variations and my pimples tend to last a lot longer when i don't use this
I noticed that there's niacinamide, ceramide, carrot seed extract and saxifraga(idk what this one is it was mentioned in the key ingredients tho) ?? is it one of these ingredients ??

I love how my skin feels and looks with this, but I canβt justify $134 AUD a jar. Anyone know of a similiar moisturiser?
Also, Iβve gone through the wiki on moisturisers, but Iβm not sure what kind of moisturiser Emollience is, despite the name. Iβve tried other drugstore oil-based moisturisers but they arenβt nearly as good. I may be a bit confused, but if I could understand the type perhaps I could understand why my skin likes it so much and that would make finding an alternative easier. Any help on that would also be appreciated!

I've recently got a bottle of Vitis labrusca wine from a home winery in my town, and I personally liked it a lot and am willing to get a few more bottles next time I'm around. I'm not a wine expert of anything, just an enjoyer, but some of my wine loving friends seem to be labrusca haters because they keep saying it's so terrible and calling it bootleg wine. Anyone ever tried it? What did you think of it?
I've heard really great reviews about the B-Lab Matcha Hydrating Cleanser, and some even consider it to be their Holy Grail. However, I've only heard so little of their oil cleanser. Upon searching here on the subreddit, I think I found maybe a comment or two saying that it was good. I tried looking it up on both Youtube and Tiktok, and have only stumbled upon a few reviews.
Since I'm fully and utterly convinced to purchase their matcha cleanser (Thank you, AB!), I wanna hear your thoughts and experiences about the B-Lab PHA Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil. Is it any good? Did it break you out? I would definitely love to know!

I have oily, acne prone skin and have been working really hard this past year at getting rid of my PIE. So when saw this stuff at Target, I was really excited to try it out! I only used it this morning but I liked it a lot. It's not quite as thick as CeraVe in the tub, and it is slightly more shiny since it has grapeseed oil. To me this is a plus because CeraVe dries down too matte to feel moisturizing to me. It's also super cheap! $4.99 for 5.5oz and $9.99 for the full size. So if you're looking around for a new moisturizer, I would definitely give it a try. If you don't like it for your face, you can use it on your body.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
So i was wondering whether or not to quit a supplement if it makes me more itchy. The weird part here is within the same day i consume these specific supplements, i get increase genital itch which is the most annoying symptom i know of and it hasn't been much of a problem for a good while since getting a hang of my protocol. However every time i take this specific supplement, it returns, and if i'm not careful it turns into full on genital thrush. Does anyone have experience with this or theories on whether it's a healthy die-off symptom, the candida trying to escape the digestive tract and finding peace other places in my body or something, or if it's just ruining my natural good microbiome? I highly value all your input on here!
The supplement is named BioCare Oregano Complex and has these ingredients:
Ingredients: tapioca starch, vegetable capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), grape seed oil (Vitus vinifera, seeds), borago seed oil (Borago offi cinalis, seeds), oregano oil (Origanum vulgare, leaf), clove oil (Eugenia caryophylless, leaf), anti-caking agent (silica, magnesium salts of fatty acids), garlic extract (Allium sativum, clove), D-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, sunflower oil
Hi all! Iβm working on my first batch of wine, and Iβm looking for tips on how to mellow out the acidity and add more complexity.
Iβm making a dry red blend of 2 gallons Concord with 7 gallons of Marechal Foch, The blend has the light foxiness and crispness Iβm looking for, but itβs really really acidic (since North American wines tend to have high acidity). Is there a good way to mellow said acidity without backsweetening?
I plan to age it for a while, but Iβm wondering if thereβs anything I should add while it ages. Should I look into blending a more traditional vinifera grape, or maybe oak it to cover the acidity?
Any advice is appreciated :)

This is honestly one of the better sunscreens I have tried (ive only tried Neutrogena dry touch and this). Tbh, before buying i saw some bad reviews of the sunscreen on this sub but the ingredient list sucked me in along with the boot star rating.
I first tested a little bit on my hand and guys, let me tell you the texture is AMAZING. Its soooooo fucking light and sinks in the skin beautifully, it also feels a little cold when i apply it. After that hand application I moved onto my face and it pilled so badly, i was very, very, very disappointed. But I had already spent my money though and I was determined to make it work.
I tried a few different methods of application and one application technique worked!!!! I was estatic to say the least. The sunscreen is very lightweight, has NO whitecast, looks beautiful under makeup and looks amazing on the skin. It does look dewy on the skin but doesn't make me feel like a greaseball like the Neutrogena one. Dries fairly okayish so need to set with powder in order for hair to not stick. Although, sometimes i don't follow the technique and it pills in certain areas but the makeup covers the mishaps if the pilling is minute.
