Resonance Fm Puns

Hello, I have this problem only I seem to have, as the title reads I sometimes get distorted/choopy sounds when I mess too much with the FM/Resonance and it sounds really bad. I believe it's caused by me being a total noob at sound design so I will be really happy with any advice!

i swear on my ACL that i saw someone post a picture of a listing on ebay or something for an ac radio show promo cd recently on either here or CA and then someone ripped it but my extensive searching has brought up absolute dick

will someone please confirm that i'm not just hallucinating from this glass case of emotion that graduating has me in???
