Resist Puns

any tips on how to make my shaft straight and resistant? (pun intended) Every time I make arrows I just pick straight branches and it suffices, but I'd want something more reliable and strong.

Edit: I meant are there other materials or specific types of wood I should use, stick to branches, or move onto wood turned pieces? etc

Also any suggestions to make my fletching stand flat onto the shaft and a better way to secure them?

Someone did suggest a shooting board, which seems like the proper solution. I’ll come back if it doesn’t work.

As you can see, it’s kinda thicccc and crooked, because no matter how much effort I put into straightening saplings, they’re still gonna have tiny malformations, and in this case, this arrow keeps splintering even after I’ve sanded it properly. Also, they can’t be made evensince they’e saplings.

So I have just finished my first Dialect game and it has been absolutely amazing. I bought the game right away when I read the summary in their Ennies page, I found the idea really captivating. And I have finally got the chance to try it out!

It is simply astonishing. Building the story of the isolation through words gives the whole game a very warm feeling of intimacy. It is not only the story you are building, but also the language that you are constructing reflecting that reality and that only the players at the table share. It is truly special. At the end of the game we felt a deep connection with thta little world we had just made and we all felt a terrible sorrow when the isolation, unavoidably, came to an end.

We played usin the "Sing the Earth Electric" backdrop and made a little community of Earth-cleaning robots that cared ans sung to each other. We started inventig words like "chu" (being repaired by the engineering centers) and "brrsonance" (the discordant note that broke a mechanical song). Then resources started to wane, the mediating unit went a bit rogue rationing resources (became "brrop") and a Resistance (pun obviously intended) began to brew. And in the end, when shutdown was almost certain, all the units fused through a process called "chute-wall" in an only entity, devoid of any language or reasoning capability outside its cleaning purpose with a last heartbreaking and lonely melody.

It was great and I recommend all and everyone of you to go grab it and create your own linguistic story. It is well worth it.

I just needed to get this story out of my chest and share it with you.

Recently I found myself chatting with the folks over at [Augvape] (http://www.augvape.com/) and they offered to send me over their new RDA,the [Druga] (http://www.augvape.com/product/druga-rda-black/) which is a collaboration with Mike @vapeshouse, a coil builder from Indonesia. After reading a ton of reviews on this previously, I absolutely had to get my hands on it, so they were kind enough to send it over. To top it off, they even sent the rainbow version and I couldn't be more pleased. It looks fantastic sitting on top of just about anything. So, thank you to the people over at Augvape for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to doing more reviews for them in the future! I have been running the Druga through its paces for a few weeks and I have yet to have any issues with it. I like to run hardware for a little longer than some normally would as I find it takes a little time to show any of the long time use flaws than it would in say a week of use. Without any more delay.

To start things off let's take a look at the specs of the RDA as well as what you can find inside the packaging once you tear it open.

Packaging

The Druga comes packaged inside a very attractive looking round tube of sorts. You simply pull the top portion off to reveal the inside of the box, holding the Druga. The tube is all black with the Augvape logo on front and Druga RDA written above it. You will also find the authenticity scratch off on the outside of the tube as well. Sitting inside the tube, the RDA is recessed down into a foam liner, leaving only the drip tip above the surface. The hex key sits off to the side and the spare parts bag tucked in there as well. The packaging is minimal but it is very eye catching mainly due to being in a round tube. Overall it's well presented.

I see people posting their pictures of their collections, or selling unopened games, or talking about the games they still have in shrink wrap all the time in this sub. When I get a new game, I'm tearing it open the second it arrives or the second I leave the store. I know some people can't play games immediately, but at the very least, you can open them and enjoy those components and read the rulebook. Are you buying so many new games that you don't even care to open the ones you've got?

It may seem like everybody on this sub has money to just keep throwing at crypto every single new pump, and everyone else is capitalizing on these gains while you sit and watch because you don't have enough money or the means to invest right now. FOMO is nagging at you at an all time high right now and you're trying to figure out how to move money around to buy just a little more ETH, maybe finally get a whole 1 ETH before it gets too high.

Well, you should know you are not the only one here who is fighting these temptations and I think it helps to hear from someone else who is also not buying more crypto right now. It seems to calm me down to realize that while there are a lot of people making more gains than me, there are thousands more who are also sitting on the sidelines, or holding just $100 of BTC, or putting in only what they can afford to lose. This is not WSB and you should not give into your FOMO or gambling-like thoughts.

For me, I am trying to buy a house this summer. And you can probably imagine how tempting it is to have a pile of cash just sitting there to be used as a down payment not making gains. "I'll just put it in for a few weeks and make juuuuust a little bit more to go towards the house." It hurst to think about what I could have made just within the last week, but what would hurt WAY more is losing our down payment by gambling it away. So for now, my extra cash will remain cash and I'm doing what's best for my own family and being safe. You're not the only one on here who is "missing out."

Immediately after snorting lines of burnt sienna this morning I felt inspired to post. I picked an arbitrary number between what’s it worth now and $1,000,000 and landed on 8k+ (see that +?) because I have seen a lot of people hop on this train who are don’t have a lot of money by their own admission who are going to be tempted to sell at $8k, $10k, $50k on its way to $1,000,000.

I’m sorry I was only thinking that we gotta pass quite a few big dollars on the way to a million and trust me I know what it’s like to get a large lump sum of money the very first time.
