And honestly, I’d forgotten how good it is. For some reason I always come away from Resident Evil, even though it is one of my favourite franchises, and try to play other games but then I just keep coming back. I’ve played all of them, and I never used to consider it my favourite (RE2/RE4/RE6 I enjoy).
Resident Evil 2 back in 1998 was one of the first games I’d picked up, alongside Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider 2 and Final Fantasy 7. I had no idea about any of these franchises back in the day and many say that it was a stroke of luck that I picked up those specific games when I picked up my first PlayStation.
Playing RE5 this weekend now that I have time to given the time of year is like I’m playing it again for the first time again. I hope to move onto some of Devil May Cry games afterwards to have that same feeling again, just like the first time.
Does anyone have any problems with her regardless what you give her or is she perfectly fine no matter what she has? Or do you really need to give Sheva a specific loadout?
Throughout my playthrough of the game, I barely had any problems with her. The only times she was killed were from some bosses and that was it. She also never wasted ammo and had almost perfect aim.
I'm not sure if it's the AI adapting to how I play and cooperate with it. Such as using the assault and cover commands, giving it ammo and healing it, and saving it from grabs.
Or it's probably just me? I know I unlocked an achievement for building max trust with the partner so maybe it's that?
I know that I took Sheva's inventory away once, sent her out by herself with the assault command and she outright destroyed the enemies with only a knife/stun baton without taking any damage. Which I found funny as hell and equally mind blowing.
So this just makes me question what's going on with others and how they're struggling with Sheva. I'm just interested in what how others' playthroughs were with the AI.
