A list of puns related to "Relative Wind"
So, we were at Grandpa's tonight, for dinner. My almost 3yo is usually very good humored with him and his wife. He eats everythig they cook, plays with them, does what they ask very cheerfully. Never broke a thing in their house. We don't see each other a lot because we live in different countries, but they have a good relationship.
Tonight they made spaghetti for dinner. Now, he is good with his cutlery, but spaghetti is kind of an assle. He is learning to roll them on the fork, but is not exactly proficient. If I cut them all up he drops them all over, because they are so small and slippery. It is a messy business. But ok.
My FIL's wife immediately began to complain about the mess, although I was really struggling to keep it together and trying to control the damage. My son began to get frustrated and therefore lost interest in the fork. He started to use his hands, which really disgusted them. I started to sweat... He really doesn't use his hands to eat anymore, but spaghetti is hard!
When he was (sort of) done, I told him he needed to wash his hands (so he wouldn't be smearing sauce all over their sofa) and it was going smoothly, but they immediately jumped on him an started "YES YES, LET'S GO WASH THOSE DIRTY LITTLE FINGERS, LET'S GO!" They were kind of hovering above him and I saw that he was weirded out and intimidated. He started saying "NO" and I know that's not going to end well. I told them to let me deal with him. But they took it in their own hands. Grandpa grabbed his hand and started dragging him towards the bathroom. Wife followed to bodily lift him up, while her husband washed the child's hands against his will. At this point my child is screaming.
I said: "Please don't" but it was to late. He had a full meltdown and was almost histerical. He HATES it when he feels physical restrained. I never do it (unless it is a safety issue) and he is not used to it. Plus they are not exactly people he sees every day...
Well, obviously what do you think they did afterwards? Do you think they apologized? They scolded him for being naughty. My husband at that point intervened, raised his voice and told them to just stop talking and leave him alone to cool down. So they commented how rude these "modern parents" are and how disrepectful the children: "We didn't do anythin to him! We just washed his hands!" As if that was the problem!
I am so frustrated because I kinda saw it unfold in slow motion, and I kept myself from intervening because I d
... keep reading on reddit β‘So lately I've been playing with a friend playing a debuff Pyro who uses Moaning Winds on all their weapons, and the damage put out by that is quite honestly ridiculous, and while I am by no means advocating for a nerf, it seriously makes me question something : What exactly is the point when I try to build a Trickster around my skills(particularly, Temporal Blade), when I could just slap Moaning Winds on a Deathshield, Fortress on an Anemoi and also have it on my pistol(s), and make it vastly outdamage what are supposed to be the most powerful tools at my disposal?
It just doesn't really seem particularly fair that a mod which requires walking up to an enemy and reloading does a ridiculous amount of damage while my skill that requires at least spending a few seconds next to an enemy if I use it in combination with Hunt the Prey, melee for Anomaly Scything, and Venator's Knife, then also Temporal Blade itself, only does the damage one or two seconds after being used, still does less damage while having a similar cooldown and not having a 360Β° AOE?
Maybe I'm seeing this the wrong way but I find it stupid to completely absurd levels that a single weapon mod does more damage than the skill setup I have been putting hours and hours into to finish and still am not completely done with(missing one set piece, but my friend insists that his stupid moaning winds will do more damage than what I feel should be my most powerful damage tool with an AP build regardless) while not seeming to present anywhere near the same things to consider, from my perspective.
Again, not a call for any sort of nerf but I'm questioning if I'm either doing something wrong or it's just a symptom of terrible balancing.
I am just wondering if someone has any tip of how I am supposed to calculate the angle of attack of an airfoil and the relative windspeed of it. I have the tip speed ratio, incoming windspeed, pitch and diameter. I found something that I have to calculate the rpm firstly, and I did it with the formula Rpm = (60 * windspeed * TSR) / (pi*Diameter) but I'm stuck there.
So can anyone please point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks
I always just accepted this statement, but recently I've been thinking more about this. Is it talking about the net force produced by the wing, or the component of total lift that acts against gravity? Because neither situation makes sense to me. If the plane is flying at a high angle of attack and level, and the lift is perpendicular to relative wind, the lift would be angled forward of the plane, pulling it forward. And if you consider a climbing scenario, the lift couldn't be both opposing gravity and perpendicular to relative wind, unless you split up the vectors. This is hard to explain without a picture, but if someone could help me understand that'd be great.
I've been sailing a long time, but I've often wondered exactly when is the boat on a beam reach? Is it when the true wind is at 90Β° and the apparent wind is forward of that, or is it when the apparent wind is at 90Β° and the true wind is aft of that?
Since I've mostly done dinghy sailing, I always referenced apparent wind, but every definition of beam reach seems to ignore the distinction...
I really have no clue what this obscure movie was or what the plot was about, but I've tried to look it up a few times and never found it so here it goes:
There are these two girls who are living together, they seem like they were close once but their relationship seems to be stressed now. At least one of them is an artist. They fight and i think there's an eviction notice or something. One of the girls has a cat, the other hates the cat. The two fight and some hyjinx ensues and the cat dies as a result. They burn the cat I think on the roof of their apartment.
They decide to get away. The one girls really upset about re cat and things haven't been going right so one girl convinces the other they need to take a trip.
Irrelevant note: one of the girls wears this weird dots of blue eyeshadow on either side of the upper ridge of her nose. She's the artsy one.
So some stuff i dont remember happens, mostly things going horribly wrong in everything they try to do, and eventually they wind up at one of their rich relatives homes.(I think the artsy girls, but not sure, she didn't want to go there I think, she was trying to escape her family, it was like a "we dont have any other options thing" and the other girl convinced her)
Then older woman relative tries to seduce the other girl, they're both weirded out and they wind up back on the streets pissed dragging their suitcases on the side of the road. They wind up having one of those screaming frustration moments as they tear parts of their clothes and run into the water at a beach.
I don't remember what happens after that. They make up maybe? Also they might be in some sort of relationship? Or were at some point IDK but it seemed like there was some sexual tension there.
I also have no clue if I even saw the whole movie, or how much of this memory was correct, but i really want to figure out what the hell this was so I appreciate any guesses lol
Also the movie probably between 2010-2016
