Rase Puns

THIS POST IS JUST FOR FUN AND IS IN NO WAY TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY SHOULD PLAY OR THAT THEY ARE PLAYING WRONG, THESE ARE JUST IDEAS I WANTED TO SHARE.

I'm going to mention what I feel best describes what The stereotype for each race is just so we can all be on the same page when we try and reverse it. (just the PHB nothing special)

• Dwarf: Cleric
• Elf: Ranger
• Halfling: Rogue
• Human: Fighter
• Dragonborn: Paladin? Sorcerer? (give me some hints in the comments on what you think this is)
• Gnome: Wizard (Illusionist)
• Half-Elf: Bard
• Half-Orc: Barbarian
• Tiefling: Warlock

Now that this is out of the way. on to some more fun discussions. The Anti-stereotype. Some of the concepts play into the defining parts but rework them instead of just being the opposite of everything.

The format here is going to be:

The Race: three or so things that define part of the stereotype.

1. Class #1: a quick ^(as quick as can be) tidbit on why
2. Class #2: and so on

Dwarf: Metal, Community, Hardiness

1. Druid: play into anti-metal for standard druid, or go druid forge master who makes things with heat metal spells instead of coal/fuel. (PS. Druids can wear metal in 5e, the book just says that MOST* don't)
2. Sorcerer: with dragon blood you get interesting lore moments. I built mine with Str and Con as my main stats, with Dex being 3rd and charisma 4th. Essentially turned them into an eldritch knight variant.
3. Ranger/Rogue: most dwarves have low Dex. this just plays off that with archery and stealth.

Elf: Graceful, Intelligent/spell casting, Calm

1. Barbarian: Just the exact opposite of everything that an elf is. go high elf for extra dumb points. (take 3 levels in ranger for horde breaker and fighting style: two weapon fighting for extra attacks and better duel wielding)
2. Druid: down play the wise and wizened aspects and up play the "I turn into a bear!" parts.

Halfling: Cheerful, quiet, Gimmick

1. Fighter: Especially plate armor and tower shields or two handed weapons. Enjoy the tiny terror. Get Mobile for extra "the tiny murder machine is coming" feeling.
2. Barbarian: Same as fighter, But now with 25% more screaming.

Human: Basic, the every man, Class Flexible

• You can't make them not have a stereotype for any class.

1. Wizard: 70yr old man who is actually the youngest member of the party because elves and dwarves.
2. Fighter: call them John Doe (or Lord John Generic), go champion, take armored for the fighting style. Congratulations,
