That was sarcasm if you couldn't tell. It fucking sucks so much sometimes. The best was when we were having work done at our house and the handyman was asking me questions name he finally noticed and he would not stop staring. He just had this look of "Holy shit!!". He walked away to continue and he still kept staring back. My mom even witnessed it and she thought the guy had a crush on me. She was so fucking naive, she doesn't deal with this every single day. It's so emotionally exhausting to have this! Sometimes I forget and then I have these awkward interactions and it just brings me back to reality, those moments suck

Jane and I both watched Stella fall to the ground screaming as she ingested the red pill. The burden of knowledge was evidently too much for her. “The bombs!” she cried. “Why are they harming children?” The staff had to drag her out of the cement room. Jane and I both moved up a place in line. “It’s the knowledge that you can’t do anything about that has to be the worst part. Just because you know everything doesn’t mean you can control anything. We are only 16, we can’t even vote yet,” Jane explained. I nodded in agreement. “I don’t know one person who took the red pill who went on to lead a normal life, but people still take it because they want to be able to speak every language or something like that. Either you have a total mental breakdown or you become some sort of sociopath that doesn’t react to pain or suffering at all,” I replied

“So you’ve decided then? You’re taking the blue one like me?” Jane asked. I shrugged. “If we all take the blue pill then nothing changes around here. Don’t we owe it to ourselves to at least try?” “Next!” the guard barked sharply at Jane. She had been too focused on convincing me to realize that it was her turn. Without hesitation she reached into the box, pulled out the blue pill and swallowed it. “Don’t be an idiot,” she told me as she walked out the door.

It was my turn. I stepped up to the box expecting to see just a red and blue pill, but there in the corner was a small, shimmery green one. “What about the green one?” I asked. “Green one? What green one?” the guard barked gruffly. “Right there in the corner, don’t you see it?” I asked him, feeling bewildered. The guard speaking previously flagged another guard over. He didn’t see it either. “We best take her upstairs and let the boss sort it out,” the first guard said. One guard grabbed the box and the other grabbed my arm. Together, we walked across the dismal grey room to an elevator on the opposite side and entered.

Moments later it shot up and I found myself in a penthouse office overlooking the city. There was an old man sitting at an ornate oak desk whose eyes darted up when he saw us standing before him. “Sir, she claims to be able to see a green pill in the box. What should we do?” the guard asked. The man sighed and stood up. “Leave her and the box here, I will take care of this. Head back downstairs and finish your duties. Come sit down, child.” the man said, gesturing to some armchairs overlooking a large window. The guards nodded and immediately went

"You may take the red or blue pill. The choice is yours."

The stern-faced fae, Instructor Valorie, handed the box marked "Power Capsules" to me. I looked inside and frowned. I may have been a certified idiot, but I did know two things.

1. There were three pills in that box, not two.

2. None of them were red.

"You can only take one capsule, right?" I asked.

"Weren't you paying attention during the briefing?" the Instructor asked.

"Not really," I admitted. "Other things on my mind."

"You take two pills," she said. "The yellow pill contains a 'neutralizer' that prevents the side effects that normally come with taking a power capsule."

"Right. And if I take the red and blue pills at once, something bad happens, right?"

"Kind of," she said. "They'll neutralize each other and you won't be able to tap into any of your hidden powers. By the law of the Veil, humans are only allowed this choice once. So, if you goof off and down everything in the box as a joke, you'll never get any powers, period."

"All right," I said. "But what about the green pill?"

"The what?"

"The green pill," I said. "There's a blue and a green pill in here. Is there a mistake?"

Instructor Valorie yanked the box out of my hands and stared at the pills inside. Then her face contorted with anger.

"Very funny," she said, handing the box back to me. "The box contains a red and blue pill, just like it does for every other adult."

"Um..." The green pill was still in the box. So were the blue and yellow pills.

For a moment, excitement raced through my body. Could it be? Did I already have active dimensional sight and could see alternate possibilities? If that were the case, taking the blue pill would give me mental power beyond my wildest dreams!

Or...

"Can I ask a question?" I asked.

"About the pills?" asked Instructor Valorie.

"Kind of," I said, pulling out the green pill. "This is red, correct?"

"Yes."

I gestured to the red token I wore on a chain around my neck.

"And this is also red, correct?"

"Yes."

I held the pill in front of the token.

"Which means these are both the same color, correct?"

"Are you trying to be obtuse!?" the Instructor yelled. "Of COURSE they're the same color!"

"Instructor... you're colorblind."

"...what?"

"The coin is red, but the pill is green," I said with a smile. "They look like the same color to you, but not to others. The 'red' pills have been green the whole time."

"They have not! Otherwise, it would--!"

The Instructor's sentence cau

This one epee wasn't scoring, so I did the normal things:

• Cleaned the tip and barrel (70% rubbing alcohol)
• Changed the contact spring
• Changed the tip plus contact spring
• Cleaned the socket contacts in the guard
• Checked the barrel is tight
• Replaced the screws (couldn't hurt)

After each, it worked then failed.

Symptoms I noticed,

• Press the tip, the meter goes all the way to contact then back to about 50%
• If I can get it to within 5-ohm, rocking the tip will cause it to fail. Not twisting, but moving the tip just a little. The barrel doesn't move.
• No grounding on any wires
• Holding the tip steady with good connection, I can jiggle everything behind the guard and no problems.

Any ideas?

EDIT - Looks like the TindieCad emulator is buggy as this compiled and executed just great on an ESP-12F :/

Right, I'm having a fresh crack at my C++ programming with a small project and hit a bump. Using the tindiecad emulator fwiw.

I'm trying to use typedef to alias unsigned char data type, and use that in a prototype and function later on. All in the same file, all in this order. It seemed to work then cease to work, so I would just love to

The compiler/emulator chokes on the typedef once I try to use it in a function. Didn't seem to mind it in just the prototype but wets the bed when I try to implement the prototype. It refers to the typedef with "3:1: error: 'state' does not name a type; did you mean 'static'? exit status 1"

Can anyone spot if I've made a silly error or if it "should" work? Many thanks!

Okay I was thinkning this before ep5, but ep 5 didn't provide any answers (and maybe added some fuel) minor episode 5 spoilers below.

I don't get how the TVA / Sacred timeline is working. I see talk on why the TVA is preserving the ST and who has set them up to do so, but not much on what they are preserving.

When we're introduced to the TVA it seems that the TVA is preserving one timeline, the main MCU one. The initital indication is that whenever something happens that deviates from that timeline it's pruned to prevent a multiverse. But what we've seen indicates that there is already a multiverse and that things are pruned when they get too far from the core timelines. Maybe some of the Loki's make sense being variants from the MCU time line, that were pruned from the main MCU sacred timeline, when they deviated kid loki, maybe old loki, president loki. But others are clearly different. Sylvie was pruned at about 8 year old (or asgardian equivalent), meaning that until the point she was pruned she was on a totally different time line where loki was a girl. Similar for boastful Loki, Gator Loki, and most of President Loki's army.

So I'm putting forward that whoever is behind the TVA isn't making them just prevent all but one time line. But either allowing multiple time lines but preventing any time line the deviates too far from the core curated time line, OR trying to prevent one (or some) specific events. This second version seems to chime a little bit better, the multiverse isn't steered towards one time line, but away from one; and perhaps that one thing the TVA is trying to steer away from is one that Lokis are naturally inclined to work towards. Burdened with glorious purpose...

I try to setup new windows for my father laptop. But the USB what I'm used to boot doesn't work. The laptop doesn't boot from the USB. Can't open the boot menu or bios menu and I try to setup from USB when the old Windows is running. This is a bad idea or not? When not. What happen when i toogle nothing keep option? He deleted or files apps etc. from all disc? Or just when the Windows is? Just the C:. On the D disc keep the files and apps? Thank you so much for the help. And sorry for my basic English
