Note: I'm not a financial advisor. This is not a financial advice. Always do your own research.
Overview:
I am planning P2 and I's honeymoon (yay!). Available dates for travel from LAX are October 25-November 7 2022 but we are fine with a stay as few as 5 nights so there is some flexibility here.
P2 is not the adventurous type and wants a tropical, secluded, on the beach, don't-ever-leave-the-resort type of destination where the fewer people there are, the better. I have done a lot of research and I am looking for feedback on some potential redemptions and suggestions for ideas I might be missing.
Point balances:
I don't have a ton of points to work with, particularly on the hotel side of things.
Idea #1: Fiji
This is my least fleshed out idea.
Fiji in early November seems to be an ideal time to go. I'm just not 100% sure I'm going to get the secluded vibe P2 is going for unless I book an overwater bure at Momi Bay, and that seems a tad beyond my reach. Could maybe do 2-3 nights in one at most. The Intercontinental seems a bit too family oriented.
Idea #2: Caribbean
We've never been to the Caribbean so this would be kind of cool.
What I like about this: Reasonably close, a lot of variety/choices of properties (though that may cause some decision paralysis on my part)
What I don't like about this: limited "real" F/J flight options. At least for PH St Kitts, recent reviews indicate the property hasn't been kept up very well (e.g., missing tiles in the plunge pools) and COVID testing requirements seem onerous.
... keep reading on reddit β‘Would be nice to know in case anyone here wants to plan a trip there as most of these resorts are guaranteed to be really good.
Hi guys, this is hotel specific but wondering if I can get a little help here. I have a stay booked at the St. Regis Maldives for April 2022 and booked an overwater suite for 400K points back in July of 2021. I was looking at changing my reservation to sometime in November due to covid but for the hotel wont allow me to change my reso to the same room. Iβd have to book a regular overwater then pay $450 USD/night to upgrade to the suite even. Itβs non-bookable with points at all now which is weird. Is this a recent change?!
Any info would be super appreciated!
i was just rewatching the newlywed game frenemies episode and she said her and Moses are going to an underwater hotel in the Maldives for $30k a night. is this still happening??
I donβt know why I torture myself by watching her lives but tonight they said there will be a wedding in Hawaii and honeymoon in the Maldives. She wanted him to wait to get his hair cut until after because, and Iβm not joking, the long hair is more βislandβ. Isnβt that nice!
Basically sheβs turning him into Jason and now theyβre going to visit the same places her and Jason went to film the same type of blogs. T&M world tour 2022 commences.
