A list of puns related to "Atolls Of The Maldives"
the processes of turning multiple small islands into one large island will be started for all 16 of Maldives Atolls, this will cost around 800 million dollars and take about 4 years. this process will improve communications and transportation between each of the islands in each of the atolls. This is totally not to make it easier to put each island under huge domes.
[M] this will not change how Maldives looks on the map.
On the morning of February 11, 1979, five residents of the Hawaiian island of Maui - 27-year old Scott Moorman, 31-year old Peter Hanchett, 38-year old Benjamin Kalama, 26-year old Patrick Woesner and 27-year old Ralph Malaiakini β were working on a construction job when they made the spontaneous decision to take the day off to go on a fishing trip because the weather was no nice. They went to the town of Hana and borrowed a 17-foot fibreglass Boston whaler named βThe Sarah Joeβ from Malaikiniβs twin brother before they set off into the Alenuihaha Channel. However, by the time afternoon arrived, the area was hit by its worst storm in 50 years and the Sarah Joe never returned. An extensive search performed by the Coast Guard turned up no trace of them.
On September 10, 1988, the National Marine Fisheries Service was performing a wildlife survey in the Marshall Islands. They arrived on Taongi, an atoll located in the Pacific Ocean over 2,300 miles southwest of Hawaii. They were surprised to discover the damaged wreckage of the Sarah Joe and a makeshift grave which had been marked with a driftwood cross and pile of coral rocks. A human jawbone was protruding from the rocks and dental records would eventually identify the victim as Scott Moorman, one of the five missing crew members. In an incredible coincidence, one of the men who found him was John Naughton, a marine biologist who had helped Peter Hanchettβs father search for the Sarah Joe the day after it originally went missing. A forensic examination was performed, but they were unable to determine Moormanβs cause of death or the exact time period he died. More human bones were discovered a few yards away, including a tailbone and vertebra, which also belonged to Moorman. The Sarah Joeβs outboard engine was found wedged in the coral reef underwater.
Resting on top of the grave was a sheaf of paper, which measured three inches by three inches, was about three-quarters of an inch thick, and had been bound together by a piece of string. Small square pieces of tin foil material were placed between each individual piece of paper. There was some speculation that this might have been joss paper, a ritual which is commonly used at Chinese funerals to provide the deceased with βspirit moneyβ to use as currency in the afterlife. There was some question about when exactly the Sarah Joe arrived in Taongi. Since it was over 2,300 miles away from Hana, experts determined that the boat could have drifted there in thr
