A list of puns related to "Sinhala Language"
So what you guyz think๐
Hey guys I'm looking for someone that could help me improve my sinhala language. My sinhala is relatively decent I went to a local school but I studied in English medium and now I'm done with a/l and I'm looking for someone who could help improve my sinhala mainly because I plan on practicing law in the future and having a good grip on the language will give me an added advantage
Hello,
Could anyone please tell me how to write these words in the Sinhala script and what their meaning is? These are the cyclone names newly submitted by Sri Lanka.
I dare you Ikenna, learn it It's damn hard.
Does anyone know of good resources on line for basic computer literacy skills explained in the Sinhala language? For example, I'm thinking of things as basic as
Youtube videos would be perfect. And honestly I'd love to know about any computer literacy resources in the Sinhala language, even more advanced.
Although I am very grateful to be working with folks who are at the beginning levels, it has been challenging having to start with things like holding the left mouse button down and picking up the mouse instead of picking up the lap top if there wasn't enough room on the desk. :-)
Greetings! I am working on a paper for an Education course about diversity and I need to set up two interviews with someone who learned English as a second language. I have a colleague who was born in Sri Lanka and attended private school there before moving to the United States. I'm looking to interview anyone via Skype, telephone, or e-mail who learned Sinhala first, perhaps in a public school, before moving to the US.
There is no time limit for our interview and your personal information will not be documented. I'm interested in hearing your experiences! If you're willing to share about the experiences you've encountered being bi-lingual, please contact me. Thanks!
is there Anyone who thinks Sinhala/Tamil literature should be a bucket subject? Like what's the point of this?
What am I gonna do by memorizing all those poems? Where am I gonna use it? I don't have an issue with Sinhala grammar. The only part is Literature it's so unnecessary thb. And for the students who do English/Arabic literature, it's so unfair for them.
When there is a discussion about SL education, something I have heard often is to implement English medium in schools. I am wondering whether that actually solves any problem in our education system. To be specific, this is not about teaching English in schools, but rather teaching other subjects in English.
I believe that a good curricula/education in any language is a good education. There's no doubt that a person in English medium has higher accessibility of materials online. So doesn't that mean that such a person can effectively go through a bad school education but come out ok? I went to an international school, which probably lead me to this opinion.
I would like to hear your opinion. Education reform should be done to improve the curricula in the native language and not be replaced with English.
I can speak and understand Sinhala fluently but I canโt read or write it. My boyfriend (who does not understand anything) and I want to learn to read/write it together and since I know what the words mean it might be easier. Looking for English instructions.
Everyone knows that as a full grown adult, my brain is wired and has the exact same chemical composition as an infant's. It's also common that studying grammar and doing any kind of actual work FUCKING SUCKS, so I've been using the following method to learn languages.

Yes, as you might have noticed in the title, we have started to name our releases and we are more than proud to present you our latest one, Atlantis.
The reason why we started naming the releases has to do with us changing our work method. Our team has grown since the last release and in order to give each team member time to do their task, we now freeze the ISO development at a certain point and to try to avoid confusion by calling it the December release, while the ISO has a November date in its name. Also, it emphasizes the fun factor in this project. Like you, we are just having fun creating and sharing our work with you.
To stay in the space theme, we named this release by Endeavourโs older sister Shuttle Atlantis and our future releases will carry other spacecraftโs namesโฆ And no, thereโs not going to be an Endeavour release, nor one with the troubled Space Shuttle names like Columbia or Challenger in case youโre wonderingโฆ

Before I go into the specifics of the new release, Iโm starting with a small addition made on the website and a sneak peek into our future plans. With this, Iโm also hoping to address some burning questions and requests we have received from you.
When the project started in 2019, we were already surrounded by an international helpful community. Through these years, some community-driven Telegram groups were also created to overcome some language barriers in seeking help. After all, when trying to seek answers, it is easier to express it in oneโs native language.
Those groups are an essential key in representing the projectโs friendly community vibe, so it is high time to acknowledge these Telegram groups on our website.
The represented Telegram language groups For EndeavourOS are Spanish, Dutch, Turkish and of course, our official English group. You can find the link under Community in the top menu bar to join them.
>Discourse, the swiss army knife forum
Having said that, I also take the opportunity to highlight that our forum also has representation in the following languages, Arabic, Catalan, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Greek, Italian, Philipino, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Sinhala, Spanish, Turk

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
