A list of puns related to "Pottermore"
After the war, Harry chooses to focus his time on rebuilding his family's ancestral home in the small country town of Pottermoor.
In this story, you can explore exciting things such as: Who will the town's Pumpkin Growing Contest? Will Harry need to go over budget on his plumbing? How high of a cobblestone wall can he build on his land?
Find out all this and more, when someone chooses to write the sory.
I lost my log in from years ago. Has anyone regenerated the quiz in a way that is weighted equally to the official?
I was just wondering, who would rather have the old pottermore site that existed five years ago than the one today? The old one just has a more magical feeling to it for me, plus some unique artwork that was also interactive. I miss this site very much. The newer updated version is ok and thereβs also a pretty good app, but I think I still favor the old pottermore :) So do you guys like new or old site?
It is extremely obvious when an author begins to describe someone, something, or someplace and suddenly the writing tense changes. It so easy to tell. If you want to take from wikis, at least edit it into your story so it makes sense in context and doesn't read like an encyclopedia regurgitating information.
Why is this happening?
And the Patronus one?
I keep getting a different Patronus each time I do the test. I have done it lots of times. It never feels as legitimate as the sorting ceremony one to me.
Same goes to the wand one, how does the color of your eyes interfere that much in the result?
I know itβs canon so they have to be true but I think they should have been more profound, more like the sorting one.
What do you think?
I remember getting to Chamber of Secrets, and maybe Prisoner of Azkaban. How many chapters did they end up releasing on the original Pottermore when it was the interactive chapter game thing? I loved it so much. Also miss JKR old website with all the little hidden gems, and she even let us take OWLs at one point.
I really wish I had kept up to date with pottermore but I was a teen when it came out and after the first few chapters, I think I had moved and was busy with life and University. I must not have had time to check in for a while because when I did all the chapters, common rooms, and everything that was the OG pottermore was gone.... :( whyyyyy
I cant tell you how many hours I spent making potions on that site. And I have so many good memories.
Is there a way to play again? Like a backup site idkπ Thanks to everyoneππ
A few years ago, I sorted myself on Pottermore and got Slytherin. I thought, "yeah, ok, whatever," made another email, sorted again, and got Slytherin (different questions). My wife is, without shadow of a doubt, a Hufflepuff. She is a veterinarian and just genuinely has all the traits of a Hufflepuff. I feel like I have a few qualities of each House, so I wasn't sure where I belonged. I decided to commit.
I created 100 fake email addresses and sorted myself 100 times to see which House I really belonged in.
Gryffindor - 10 Hufflepuff - 16 Ravenclaw - 36 Slytherin - 38
Now, after taking that sorting quiz that many times I kind of found the rhythm of questions, but I tried to be as honest as I could and not guess ahead, like, 'I answered this last time and got Hufflepuff, better answer something different.' I truly tried to be completely honest.
I really enjoyed doing it, the only stupid thing was constantly making new email addresses. But from what I've seen online, the Pottermore Sorting Quiz is available to answer without all the email crap.
How many of you have committed to Sorting yourself like this? I'm sure someone did it over 1,000 times.
TLDR: I created 100 fake email addresses to see which House I was sorted into the most: Slytherin closely followed by Ravenclaw.
Once the quiz told me that I am a Gryffindor. I took the quiz after 2-3 years and it told me that I am a Ravenclaw. I know I am a Hufflepuff at heart.
Hi!
When I took the test on Pottermore, it told me that my wand would be:
Pear wood with a phoenix feather core, 9 ΒΎ" and quite bendy flexibility
Is there anywhere I can find the description of my wands attributes?
"Pottermore Shop" was a website, originally part of (old version of) Pottermore, where youncould buy HP ebooks and audiobooks. They were sold as DRM-free Epub files, which was really handy.
Unfortunately, the website has now stopped selling the books. You can still re-download your purchases, but you can't buy them from this site anymore.
Well, it makes sense. The reason the Pottermore Shop opened up in the first place was because it was the exclusive place to buy the Ebooks. But now, with so many digital platforms selling the ebooks and audiobooks, they no longer need to offer their own Shop.
I'd you ever made purchases on this site though, I would recommend you login and re-download your copies, because I'm sure this re-download service won't last forever, either.
The article about Remus Lupin is a really good source for when the Dark activity began to rise and how the stigmas on creatures started to build up again. It also describes a bit about Fenrir Greyback.

The article on technology explains wizards' aversion to most Muggle technology, but not all!

The entry on vampires shows that Remus isn't the first "dark creature" to be considered as a teacher.

The article on werewolves explains more about werewolves (obviously) but also implies that there are Muggle werewolves out and about.

The entry on illnesses and disabilities explains how wizarding and Muggle ailments differ, as well as giving some more insight on how the Wolfsbane potion works.

The entry on colours in the wizarding world is interesting because it describes not only Muggle and wizarding association with colours, but it also gives insight into Hagrid's and Dumbledore's characters.

The article on clothing does say a lot that they wear robes (while describing that they've got no pants underneath) but it also says that clothing is tuck in the seventeenth century, so do with that what you will.

Wish the books could've talked about this more extensively, because this actually shows how much racism is stupid and meaningless.
Hello! I only recently became a HP fan about 5 years ago. Iβve now read the full series 6 times, but have always heard there were other original stories. What else should I read? And are the original Pottermore stories still available anywhere? Thank you :)
hi did anyone select the same house in-game as what they got from the Pottermore quiz? Does that make sense?
I remember loving the Pottermore illustrations and site as a kid. I want to experience it again but the site is now defunct. I found some posts from years ago with links to a google drive folder containing all the art. The problem is that the folder has restricted access and you need to request permission to see the contents. Was this the case a few years ago when the links were posted? I see many older comments thanking the creator, so it stands to reason they were able to access the art back then. Has anyone been able to get access recently? If not, is there an alternative way I could smoothly look at good quality images? I'm looking forward to experiencing Pottermore again in this way. Thank you!
So here's the quiz
I am a Slytherin Primary, Ravenclaw Secondary (and for the curious according to this system Harry's a Gryffindor Primary/Slytherin Secondary, Hermione and Ron are both Gryffindor Primary/Ravenclaw Secondaries, Ginny's a Slytherin Primary/Gryffindor Secondary, Luna's a Ravenclaw Primary/Hufflepuff Secondary and Neville's a Gryffindor Primary/Hufflepuff Secondary)
For the most part, they're mostly the same, except the US covers are slightly less zoomed in, the text is of slightly different sizes and alignments. The GoF cover the most different, with the entire cover being shifted by quite a lot vertically.
Does anyone know why this is? I find it quite weird that they'd have this regional difference, seeing as how it's the same publisher for both versions.
