In my professional life I was a pipe fitter and sheetmetal worker.

Does anyone have any clue why like half the people I kill are spewing invisible poison gas on death? Is it some new perk from vanguard or something because it's really irritating and I've got no clue what's causing it.

Edit: Thought I should make some minor clarifications. I'm on Xbox One and have both MW2019 and BOCW but not Vanguard and it's happened in both plunder and battle royale but more often in plunder. No visible cloud or effect but my operator does start coughing and slows down like with the tear gas and it only occurs on their death so it's not incendiaries or some kind of weapon effect. They've all had different loadouts as far as I could tell and different operators too so I'm stumped.

If you shoot someone with poison gas several times do they only take the gas from the first shot or does each shot have their individual poison gas health drain?

I'd like to set up a truck route, and i have to cross a poison gas area. When i am in my truck, the gas mask doesn't work, it makes no sense. Is there a workaround to my issue?

Toss in a torch! Sure...it will come back after 30 seconds or so, but plenty of time to run through and not get poisoned! Plus, the fireball is kinda cool!

Today I learned that the Hazmat suit and Iodine filters work great against poison gas, so it's now just a higher tier of the original gasmask and filters (just more expensive filters). But hey, no more switching between gasmask and hazmat suit!

Came back to DayZ after a hot minute. wondered into a larger village, found a player made base in a garage which had already been half looted. Grabbed a gasmask and some weapons then dipped to a few houses deeper in town to organize the loot. The moment I finish I hear the distant sound of a boom and moments later I hear the screeching sound of an artillery shell rapidly getting closer and closer. I hit the deck, a millisecond later the explosion rocks the town. I immediately jump up run outside and start bolting to the river/woods. As im doing so the whole town is getting foggy and I'm starting to cough and bleed (I am wearing the gasmask). I get into the woods and the fog is clearing, I get over the river and i'm out. So my question is...What the fuck was that? Is that a world event or was that player controlled artillery/mortars etc?

I have a huntress that I'm using basically solely for Poison Gas Traps. The Wiki does not indicate that it scales with the power stat. Is that right? Does it only scale of Fort/Range/Def Rate?

Hey when I was younger I saw a movie in theaters with my family and friend’s family. All I remember was a scene where these animals (kinda like Bambi) were all being killed by this poison gas.
