A list of puns related to "Playmaker"
Watching the Nets versus Lakers, and it's King James, versus Beard James. Why is the narrative on James Harden not the same as LeBron?
LeBron by any stretch of the imagination is a generational talent. Often touted as a greatest of all time and likely still one of the top five players of all time currently still to play the game. He's cementing his legacy.
But why is James Harden not on the same destiny and path? The narrative is that he's just a good basketball player, and not ever likely to be called the greatest of all time, or GOAT.
So that brings and begs the question, is James Harden just a really good basketball player? And not a generational talent? Meaning, we could see other "James Harden's" in the future.
What is James Harden legacy?

> βI want to win,β said Embiid. βEven based on the circumstances, I think we still have a chance we can beat anybody on any given night so I just want to do whatever is necessary every single night. Whether itβs to be the best offensive player, scorer, playmaker, best defensive player just protecting the rim.β
> βLike I have always said, thereβs a reason why Rudy (Gobert) has won so many Defensive Player of the Year (awards) because the center is the most important position on the defensive end,β Embiid added. βWhatever Iβm asked of, thatβs what I am going to do.β
> βI thought we moved the ball extremely well,β Embiid finished. βWe played together. I think it was a team win. Furk did a great job as a point. Seth was himself, guys coming off the bench, they moved the ball also. I think the recipe tonight and was just playing with each other.β
Embiid had a dominant performance last night, dropping 31/15/10 in less than 35 minutes.
.@DwyaneWade on the Warriors:
"I've gotten a better appreciation for Draymond Green since I've retired ... I mean he's a point guard. Like he is one of the best playmakers in the game. But Steph Curry ... he is one of the greatest to ever play this game." https://twitter.com/firsttake/status/1460665717947260932?s=21
Love it! Rozier could've easily hero balled it on that final possession, he's been hot as hell lately (23 PPG, 47.6% from 3 last 9 games) but knew Melo had a mismatch. Rozier's been a better leader and player than anyone could've imagined when we got him in that S&T. Great job Mitch.
Part of me wonders if Ime is trying too hard to make Brown and Tatum playmakers. Tatum could probably be more of that given that heβs a decent passer, but Jaylen, IMO is clearly at his best when heβs scoring and can get hot very quickly. The team has bigs that are damn good at playmaking. If anything, Smart should probably be asked to improve his playmaking more. Idk, I know itβs really only the first season where the Jays are being asked to be playmakers, but I feel as though if they want to win within the next few years, maybe the bigs should be facilitators? Idk Iβm not a coach.
The quality passing metronome/quarterback midfielder who can dictate the pace of games seems to be in short supply in recent years. Modric is probably the best in the world but he's coming to the end soon. Verratti seems to make a huge difference to the way PSG play. These type of players appear very difficult to replace as there's just so few of them on the market.
Who are the next great playmakers? Pedri is class but even he seems more of an Iniesta type than a Xavi. Does anyone really stand out amongst the younger players in world football? I wonder why, when the evidence is so great that this type of player is pivotal to the best teams, there aren't more of these types...
Am I missing something?
But the last few games since Luka has been out I've seen our team move the ball really well and get a lot of easy buckets. We have also gotten the ball up the court much faster which has led to easy transition buckets.
They've also been very active in movement off ball.
Now I realize we were playing a MIL team without Gianniis, but they have Middleton and holiday, two great defenders.
What am I missing here?

I feel like weβre missing a true playmaker right now that can foster ball movement, you can really feel Kyle Lowryβs absence in our games. Who do you think is the best playmaker on the raptors or has the potential to be?
Something you will often hear when on/off stats claim a player like, for example, LaMelo Ball is one of the best players in the NBA is that they overrate ball handlers. Is there any actual reason why these players are overrated by these metrics? The way I see it, if the opportunities that a player generates are so valuable that the offense collapses when their backup plays, they should be considered as good as the stats suggest.
Through 28 games, in the 16 games where Durant has at least 5 assists, the Nets have a record of 15-1. The only loss coming from Phoenix, where the team could not defend for shit and gave away 20 turnovers. In the other 12 games, the Nets are 5-7. Are there other factors that may influence these records? Of course. Is this still somewhat significant? You tell me.
Now i never saw him play but this stat is amazing. His best season, 89-90, saw him averaging 10.7 assists and 1.7 turnovers. Thats a rate of 5.94 with crazy volume on assists. 5 out of the top 9 seasons belong to him.
For reference in Chris Pauls best season 07-08 he fielded a rate of 4.60, Muggsy's career average was 4.69.
A lot of people seem to think that muggsy was just a gimmick player, who only gets remembered because he was short, thats not true. Aside from playmaking, from what vetaran players say he was also a great defender, he was extremeley fast and was suprisingly strong for his size.

Iβm still looking for an answer. Is anyone moving the ball effectively and consistently? Btw, picking a certain player means you are also content with their playmaking.
