Situation is I bring in a new Relief Pitcher. The first two batters he faces hit 2 triples. I decided to mound visit to get back some pitch confidence and recompose. I also notice I only have a lefty warming up and decided to go into the quick menu and warm up a righty. When I click this action, the game prompts " you have made two mound visit, the pitcher must be replaced" but since I did not face the three batter min, the game would not let me put any pitcher (RP or SP) into the game, thus running out my pause timer and I am forced to loss a 3-2 lead. This game....
It's fun making batters from Double-A all the way to the majors fan, but what makes each pitcher unique is what they throw and how they mix things up. What do you use for your pitcher and why?
Personally, I usually run a Four-seam, Slider, and a Knuckle Curve, and in the last two slots I always use a change-up and a fast-ball variation. Currently I use a Vulcan Change since it is an easy motion with pinpoint pitching and a Sinker to produce grounders. I also know a Knuckle Curve isn't always the most common, but I have a soft spot for that pitch because when I played baseball it was the first curve I learned how to throw and the only one I threw somewhat commonly in games.
Hello! So I am brand new to OOTP and generally pretty lost, but I am enjoying the learning process. Anyway, question is pretty straightforward -- will a pitcher lie, or rather exaggerate, how well they're feeling when you visit them on the mound?
For context -- I'm playing as the Orioles. In our second game against the Red Sox, I had Matt Harvey pitching and he did really well for seven innings. We ended up winning the game 7-0. But in the seventh inning, I came out to the mound to check on him because I could see his stamina getting low. I did this a couple times actually and each time he reassured me he felt great and this is what he trained to do. So I let him keep pitching. Lo and behold, Mr. I Feel Awesome strained his right shoulder and is now on IL.
Should I trust these mound visits or are my pitchers going to exaggerate because they think that's what I want to hear? Or was I right to trust him and just got unlucky?
WTF
The only point of reference I could find was last updated in 2015 when Jorge and Rubby de la Rosa faced each other. Has this happened since? My assumption is no, but I could be wrong.

The part that intrigues me most isn't the mound change; I think that will be a flop. It's the double-hook DH rule. It's what I've suggesting for many years!
Basically, the DH is for the SP. Once SP is gone. So is the DH. It's a great compromise between AL and NL. And it may make teams think twice about "Openers".
Kind of feel like this could happen in the MLB eventually. I'm not a fan of the DH at all but if both leagues went to this as a compromise I'd be "alright I'll take it" about it.
As a Dodger fan give me Koufax or Hershiser circa 1988.
