A list of puns related to "Pintle"
I hate the dollied pintle hitch trailers. They are such a pain in the ass to back up. Why is there not any tilting, or just plain flatbed pintle hitch trailers. IRL they are used all the time by dump trucks to transport equipment. They put weight on the drives for better traction, and you can back them up.
wanna build some but Warlord doesn't have, can anyone recommend where to get some?
I want the tank commander to pop his head out and be able to use the MG. Kinda blanking on if this is remotely possible. Maybe a handheld remote control, although that seems wonky
Scenario A: Fight is in an open field with some hills. Combatants start 2km away and are to seek each other out.
Scenario B: Fight is in a ruined city. Combatants start on the other sides of the city and are to seek each other out.
I posted earlier asking if there were any good mounts for the heavy Nerf blasters, and the response and research showed that the Nerf brand ones ain't it, chief.
This is going to be mounting the automatic blaster onto my kids' Power Wheels, so it needs to be light, robust, and able to be operated by a two-man crew who are 7 and 4 years old.
So, I took a look around the shop, came up with a relatively crude design, and got it functional.
It's based on a 4" caster from Harbor Freight, with a few pieces of scrap PVC trim and aluminum held together with simple sheetmetal screws.
This seems to be pretty good, it raises the blaster to a comfortable position, and can currently have rotation locked easily by the gunner (I plan on adding a retention loop to hold it completely stowed when not in use).
Changing out the blaster currently requires loosening the two locking bar screws, easy enough but not field serviceable, but I made the bars long enough to add a spring below the pivot to allow potential quick-change ability when desired.
I attached a few photos, there's a video of me demonstrating the functionality (and hitting my water with the blaster barrels) in my Google Photos album, if anyone wants to see that.
Novice here in need of help. I've recently purchased a used Getaway and on one of our days out one of the pintles for the rudder snapped. When I went to unscrew the broken pintle to replace with a new one, th screw heads sheared clean off.
I went to the hardware store and purchased some drill bits specifically for drilling out broken screws but I don't know what the heck these screws are made out of because my new drill bits rounded off immediately and made no mark on the broken screws.
Any ideas how I can extract them? Do I need a special type of drill bit?
Currently, the pintle machine gun is used by the Commander. That's the one up on the turret.
None of these tanks have an actual turret machine gun, so if there are 2-3 crew members you can't use your machine guns at all.
On these tanks, the gunner sits right below the machine gun. The Commander is off to the side and realistically wouldn't be the one using the MG.

There is additionally a hatch here. Note that it is a separate Hatch from the Commander Hatch.

I'm pretty sure this hatch was dedicated to the Machine Gun (as well as getting in and out) and not for loading shells because a shell hatch exists on the back of the turret.

There's also an additional hatch on the Left side of the Turret that appears to be for removing spent shells due to its location, which further proves the top hatch is primarily meant for the Gunner to use the MG.

Given that the Leopard 1 has its pintle MG used by the loader with a similarly mounted Machine Gun, I think the Pintile MG on these tanks can be given to either the Gunner/Loader as well, although the loader has no realistic way of using it.
Leopard 1 Loader Machine Gun mounted on the Loader's Hatch.
This will help clear fences and small bushes when you have lost two crew members and are left with the Driver, Gunner, and Loader. It would be a nice QoL change given that the Chi-Nu's are very light and lose a lot of speed by hitting fences.
Iβve got a turbocharged Mazda Miata that Iβm trying to turn up the boost and make more power. Currently I am still running the stock 230cc injectors and a Mega Squirt Standalone ECU. I bought a set of used OEM 550cc injectors from a Subaru STI and had them cleaned and flow tested and the report came back good. However looking them over I noticed one of the injector Pintle caps looks like itβs damaged. I donβt know if this was their condition when I purchased them or if the shop that tested the injectors did this. Should I be concerned with the Pintle cap?

Hello. I'm a new guy to bolt action. Played a few games and am currently building a list of mixed British (airborne/infantry). I want to add a Sherman V to the list but I'm not sure if I can add the pintle mounted MMG. I am using the Normandy Theatre Selector for the Armies of Great Britain, however, EasyArmy.com classifies the MMG as a Canadian option and then quotes the D-day: British and Canadian Sectors p146/7. Can I add the pintle mounted mmg if I'm playing mixed airborne/infantry and not Canadian specifically?
I've got two pintle Heavy Stubbers I'm going to model on my tanks, but I'm not sure which to pop them on. I've got two battle cannons, a demolisher, an executioner and an exterminator.
I'm thinking the executioner and demolisher, for the synergy with the range of the main gun, if not the likely targets.
I just got my first knight, and i'm planning to magnetize it to be all of the variants. I was wondering if the pintle mounted melta/stubber/las for the preceptor usually need magnets. Looking at the part it seems like the U clip that holds it in place is flexible enough to let the gun come on and off. How do you guys go about making it replaceable? thanks!
So I have been looking up how pintle injectors work and I believe I understand them; however, I had a question about them that I dont seem to be able to find. So the OF mixture after being sprayed into the combustion chamber do you want it to hit the sides of the combustion chamber or do you want to prevent that? it seems like it can go both ways from what i understand about rocket engines.
I just bought a leman russ kit and noticed, while assembling the model, that they no longer have the heavy stubber or storm bolter on the sprues. When did they change the sprue to exclude the pintle mount weapons?
Do I have to specify that a guy is unbuttoning to use it, and if heβs killed does that affect the tankβs reload speed? Or can I just keep sticking more guys up there lol
