I havenβt had a drink in several months, but I left my work Christmas do in a bit of a drunken state last night and the fresh air absolutely finished me off.
A lovely couple (possibly French?) found me in a bad way near Kensington Olympia and stayed with me for nearly 2 hours trying to peel me off the floor and get me home. Eventually they contacted my boyfriend, and I made it home safely at 2am (after leaving work at 11pm).
I am mortified at becoming so unexpectedly wrecked and putting myself in such a vulnerable position, especially with all the grim news about womenβs safety in London recently. Iβm so lucky that I was found by these two incredibly patient souls and not some psychopath who could definitely have taken advantage of the state I was in.
Iβm also going to write to the local paper to write a quick message of thanks, but I wanted to share this here so that people know that there are definitely some good people out there - people who are willing to spend hours with a vomit-soaked and incredibly sleepy drunken idiot just to ensure she gets home safe.
Itβs pretty unlikely that either of these people will see this - but on the rare chance that you do, I wish you both all the best, and thanks so much!

I just want to begin with that there is a lot good in the game. The art, music, voice acting, and the world building (to an extent). However I just feel like theres a lot of bad (in my opinion) that doesn't get brought up in this sub so I was just wondering if anyone felt similar about this.
I began with Riku and Tokisadas routes, and I thought in general that they were ok. The game really began to get iffy with that one Tokisada bad end (The one with the guy in orange I can't remember his name rn), but I figured it was fine whatever I can continue.
Then I got to Yosuga. I genuinely thought he would be my favourite character, until it felt like the writers didn't know what to do with his character. His entire forcing himself on the protagonist goes against his very values, the final conflict with the blue was sorted in such a short space of time, and the last of the route and side story has him treating Olympia like a sex object...like I had this issue with Riku and Tokisada, and how obsessed with sex they were post-story (even bringing it up in their interviews like???) but I'm like ok sure I'm asexual so its probably a me problem here. But with Yosuga it really just boils their relationship down to "come to the bath house and we can get laid and you don't get a say in it" and I'm just. that makes me feel icky. I hated his route, I hated his bad ends especially.
But then Kuroba takes a spectacular prize of what the heck is even going on. His very personality is consistently contradictive. The fact that:
- He just says to the one he loves to marry the creep who was harassing her (to later get angry that she goes to do it)
- Victim blaming HER for almost being raped, and then proceeding to say he should've just "done it himself"
- In front of the creep who harassed her in his bad end, he proceeds to kill his LOVER instead
I stopped shortly after the choice of the bad end, because my frustration with this route grew to entirely new levels. I even read somewhere that he doesn't even apologize for his appalling behaviour.
I don't mean to kink-shame or shame anyone that is into non-con. I personally avoid non-con themed games because it isn't for me in particular. The reason I tried to get into olympia was because of the story and worldbuilding. For me the issue is I feel like the game constantly contradicts itself with the character writing and treats Olympia like a baby making machine constantly, even by her love interests. Hello. I just finished the game and I really need to talk about it. My heart is melting. In Akaza Bad end, we end with tsukuyomi and he say "I am the only one who can love you so you will do the same and love me too" My question is a bit stupide but, is his love based on protection/family or its a romantic one ? I like to think that it's the second option.
