Dear Reddit Users,
I was watching a lecture on Prussia where it was mention that the word Prussia is actually of Slavic origin and that the language of Old Prussias was Slavic.
I did some reading and it looks like that the language of Old Prussians was actually a form of Baltic language rather than Slavic.
If anyone made a more thorough research on that subject and would like to say a few words about it?
Thank you
Hi, I live in France(Paris) and my dad found This teapot in my grandma's parisien appartment that have marks under and on top of it.
I searched for the downside's mark and found that it originated from a prussian factory that produced this type of mark between 1865 and 1870 but couldn't determine what the '1' on top of the mark means.
So I tried to search for this teapot's exact ref based on theses marks, but couldn't find anything more than "40 cl Alpacca teapot from Hungary" wrote under a pic of my teapot on another page of the same site.
I couldn't find any more informations on this teapot neither how much is it worth.
Thanks for taking time reading this post and sorry if I made mistakes as English is not my native language.
Hi everyone, I'm doing some research on the subject and I found old Prussian (not German, but those from before the Germans arrived) names for almost every city in the area, for example KrΓ³lewiec--->Twangste, Elblag--->Elbings, but I couldn't find anything regarding Torun :(
Can anyone help me?
