A list of puns related to "Nudism"
I have found the best trick how to be naked in the office. You just have to work late in the evening. I am alone and naked right now and I can concentrate so much better.
I love it, definitely doing it again
Does anyone else love communal showers and the aspect of nudism and comradery in that environment where it's relaxed, you can be naked and socialize without sexual pressure that comes from bathhouses? I realize that sometimes guys do nefarious things in the communal shower setting that is better fitted for the bath houses, but I just don't like the bath house scene. I tried it and it's just not my thing. I LOVE communal showers, nudism and being naked w/o the sexual pressure. If I want to have sex, I'll bring someone to my place or go to theirs. I don't like the idea of being available to everyone I may not be attracted to.
My gf and I decided to once have a nude weekend, where we'll do all the activities besides cooking, naked. The weekend then came a week and we haven't really stopped ever since. Once we are both home, we just drop out clothes and stay naked. But the thing that really changed it for us was a naked swim at a local lake. There was a Facebook event that we came across and we decided to put our request and got invited. The rules were simple. A 1 hour naked hike and finished with a picnic at a lake. The place was actually really far from where people go and it was planned that we weren't going to meet other people apart from the nudist. Feeling nature being so naturalistic felt so different on my skin. Plus everyone was so nice to us and knew how to make it enjoyable because it was our first time being naked in public. After the hike, we instantly decided to look for nudist resorts and really cut down on laundry because our nudist ways continue.
Okay, for a while a friend (21f) of mine was interested nudism when I told her I was a nudist and talked bout. Our goal is that because of her anxiety issues is to work our way up to where she's okay when we got to one of my regular resorts in the summer.
We live in the Midwest and it's winter so we can't do much so the plan for now is just sit back and watch movies in the nude. If anybody have any other ideas for us to do together, thanks!
Iβm from the uk and I was wondering whatβs the best way to start getting out. I am still very young so I feel itβs the best time to start I just donβt know how.
I was going to make a poll but it wouldnβt allow me idk if thatβs always been the case but anyways.
I tend to like posts regarding questions about nudism but it made me curious what you all like to see.
E.g nudist experiences, nude art and photography, news and updates about nudism etc.
How much tolerance do you have for chilly indoor temperatures so that you can keep practicing nudism at home during wintertime? What adaptations work for you?
This winter season (here in the Midwest USA), I have been trying to develop a thicker skin, so to speak, by keeping my home's thermostat set at about 71ΒΊF (nearly 22ΒΊC), give or take a degree, and then seeing how long I can remain comfortably clothes-free throughout the day.
During previous winters, I tended to boost the thermostat up to 74ΒΊF (a bit above 23ΒΊC) when I wanted to remain free of clothes. Because (fortunately) my home is very energy-efficient and isn't drafty, the warmer interior temperature didn't increase my fuel bill too much βΒ unlike my drafty, poorly insulated old house, which cost more to keep warm despite being significantly smaller. But this year, I wanted to try leaving the heat set at a level that's comfortable based on being fully clothed.
My feet tend to get uncomfortably cold first, so wearing socks (and nothing else) actually helps me stay adequately warm (if sometimes tolerably chilly) inside most of the time. Sometimes I "Donald Duck" it, wearing a t-shirt & socks but nothing else. When sitting at a desk, my chair absorbs body heat and helps keep me comfortable. On the sofa, a thin blanket is sufficient.
So keeping the thermostat at a less-warm setting is working for me so far this winter βΒ and I might experiment later with 70ΒΊF (about 21ΒΊC). What works for you to continue being nude (or nearly so) in winter? Or do you find yourself wearing clothes at home more often than not when it's cold out?
I've been thinking about where I could go with my RV, to a resort on the West Coast of California. So far not too much information I have gleaned. There seem to be places in SoCal, and North Coast.
Does anyone have any experience or further information? Once the weather breaks, I'd like to book a couple of weeks at a resort. But I need information.
Iβm a 20M, living in a house of 6 students total all around the same age. There is a diverse mixture of race, sex and sexualities between us.
For the past two evenings 5/6 of us have been watching a show called βNaked Attractionβ. I have mixed feelings about the show. I thought my housemates would be more open minded, but some of them were quite judgemental about peopleβs bodies and the idea of generally being naked.
I felt like this show would provide a good opportunity to say that I practice Nudism/Naturism at some point, but given the attitude of everyone watching it just didnβt seem right.
Iβm conflicted, about the show and about how my housemates reacted. Itβs difficult because there are positives and negatives to both. Like at least I know that they can tolerate watching a show like that and at least the show has a variety of bodies on it (which was something that one of my housemates pointed out). The negatives are that the show literally sexualises the naked body and my housemates saw that as a way to poke fun at the people on the show.
I tried my best to stay in keeping with the mood (laughing with everyone etc), but I would try to make small yet serious statements which I hoped might lead them to think a bit differently:
Such as, βthereβs nothing wrong with the human bodyβ, βitβs a shame that this show sexualises nudityβ, βitβs likely that people on the show are into voyeurism/exhibitionismβ and βpeople should just go to a nude beach insteadβ
Now I have some ideas for conversation starters after watching the show that I feel could lead to a good discussion and could at least provide me a chance to maybe even tell them what Nudism is properly all about:
The idea for number 2 came to me, when one of my housemates said, whilst watching, that they donβt watch porn so this show was the first time they realised that peopleβs genitalia look different.
So of you are probably wondering why I want to tell them about this, itβs not their business, and whilst thatβs true my answer is I simple. I donβt want hide the fact anymore, but I want to tell them and others in the

iβm interested in nudism, & have thought itβs a pretty cool thing ever since iβve heard about it! i think iβd like to try it some day.
the only problem is: i have so much trauma related to my body (SA, anorexia, SH, & iβm a transgender person on top of all that!! π ), & the idea of showing it to anyone - let alone a lot of everyones- makes me want to die.
a lotta people suggest nudity to help with these things & the feelings they cause - especially with being a trans person, & being a survivor. like, everyoneβs like βoh, youβve been SAβd? damn. you should try nude portrait modeling!β. i want to try nudism, bc i wanna feel better about my body after a lifetime of pain & trauma, but iβm not sure where to start or if it would traumatize me further.
any thoughts? thank you so much!! π πΌ
EDIT: iβm being downvoted, so i just wanted to say iβm sorry that iβve said or done something upsetting/offensive. please tell me what i should fix or if i should delete the post, & i totally will!
For Male/Female couples, I believe public nudism predominately starts at 45 or older. There aren't many "young people oriented nudist places"
EDIT: "Young people" in this context is 18-40. A 28 yr old couple wanting to go to a nude oriented resort and have many people in their age group be there.
I am in the US. Maybe the nude beaches of Europe are different. So speaking from US perspective.
I am an older man, part time nudist. My nudism increased significantly as I got older. Kids out of house, was able to be nude more. And at this age I dont care what people think. "yes we are going to Key West and staying at the C/O place"
So this is prompted by a post in the group "Any private nude resorts in cali for YOUNG people?"
So I am far from an expert. We've been to several nude resorts and beaches. So maybe I am missing something
But the predominant age I see wherever we've been to a public nude place is 45-65. A few younger. A few older.
We stayed at two different Key West C/O resorts (now closed) and in our late 40s we were young compared to everyone there. We've been to Couples resorts with nude sections... 80% were 45-65. A few younger a few older. We've been to other places.
We've been to nude beaches.. it seems to fall that way too.
I also think a big driver for this are the men. They've wanted to do this their entire lives, ha. But takes the right timing of age and opportunity, and sometimes gentle persuasion to get the wife on board.
I 100% know someone will reply with
Yes I get it. I feel tho that the normal public M/F nudist place is 45+ in age, and the men of the couple are typically driving it
Captain obvious?
Curious on others thoughts on this.
Edit: just a few words for clarity
I just finished an application to do modelling, which includes nude modelling for arts exhibitions.
Quite excited, Iβm very lucky to have been contacted by a team that is looking to focus on the male body in all shapes and sizes!
Iβll probably update with how my first photo shoot goes!
Hi there! We are new to this sub but intrested in learned more about nudism and being comfortable in our own skin. My GF and I were planning a vacation this summer for our first nudist trip and have come across Hendoism II and Desire Riviera. Both look great but we are not stingers and we're wondering what might be the better choice or if another option would be better. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Thought Iβd take the chance to introduce myself and talk a little about my experiences with nudism so far.
Iβm a 37yo male from the U.K. I always loved the feeling of being nude, slept nude whenever possible and was often nude when alone. I always questioned why we automatically wear clothes socially rather than just practically. About 10 years ago I started looking at naturist websites and discovered an entire community of likeminded people, which I found very liberating.
After engaging with an online community for a couple of years, I finally plucked up the courage to do something socially. Realising that even here in the prudish U.K., there were many opportunities to engage in nudist meets away from a computer screen.
Why am I joining r/nudism now? I feel like during the past couple of years, with all the lockdowns and travel bans, my engagement with the community has fallen away a little. Iβd like to try and bring back that original enthusiasm I had for it.
I found the nudist community to be the friendliest and most welcoming around. Iβd love to connect with others here who share the same values and Iβm always keen to hear your story.
Glad to be a part of r/nudism!
So I came across this post on Reddit where u/AsbestosTortellini2 shared some interesting ideas, with his main point being that nudism should be centered around protesting the harms of clothing manufacturers as something a large percentage of the public could get behind. His solution: Doing naked protests of the fashion industry while educating people about their harms and offering naked sleeping as a small but simple step they can take.
That really got me thinking about it, and suddenly new ideas popped into my head. Including in relation to how the vegetarian and vegan movements grew from fringe to mainstream.
So first, let's think about what nudism really means. It's living without clothes sure, but as a result we don't spend as much money on clothes, and we don't follow the latest fashion trends, meaning less demand, thus reduced pollution of the planet and reduced demand for exploitative labor abroad. Thus it is obvious, it should be the main argument for nudism. Yet for some reason it's almost never talked about.
The popular nudist saying "Clothing when essential, nude when practical" does not just apply to nudism in itself. It can literally be the slogan used in protest of the clothing industry. We can tell people that nudism is about reducing clothing waste, by only wearing clothes when essential such as for cold weather, or as protection for certain activities, but otherwise being nude. We need to demonstrate that most of the time when people wear clothes it is due to societal culture and psychological fear rather than out of necessity.
So how does this relate to the Vegan movement? Well, veganism started as a fringe movement. The idea of giving up meat for a plant-based diet was viewed as too radical. Vegans were made into a joke and mostly dismissed. But eventually it became mainstream and it was because their main focus was on two things: Educating people on the unethical harming of animals by the meat industry and the negative climate impacts on the planet. That's it. Period.
These were worthy causes that people could get behind. When a vegan tells someone, they are vegan because it "makes them feel better and healthier", that is not very convincing to a person who enjoys meat and doesn't want to give it up. However, I've heard many times of people who were convinced to become vegan when they heard or watch
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have seen many articles why nudism is healthy, good and in keeping with Christianity. I am curious for articles taking the opposite view, that nudism is immoral and sinful, but I donβt seem to find anything. Can anyone recommend any? I believe in reading both sides of a topic.
The title would be "My friend is a nudist"(Could be changed)
"A guy/or girl (didn't decide yet) who recently introduced with the community of Nudism.Though he/she felt shy first. And thought It's nonsense. But in a distance of time, he/she also get addicted to the awesomeness of it."
Itβs a wholesome and not sexualized story that is about the adventure of the person toward nudism and naturism.
Explore the cuteness of the story and the funny memorable moments with the characters!!
Besides the story, some readers might get into nudism as well! Or at least introduced with it and understand the importance and the difference between Sex and nudism.
So I'm asking you, Is this a good idea?
(spawned from another thread)
Prior to 1980, it was very difficult for a single man to gain entry to any nudist event. And downright impossible for anyone of either gender who was married and had a non-participating spouse. Back in those days, the term used was "married singles" and they were almost always male.
One of the unstated objectives of The Naturist Society was to open the doors of nudist parks/clubs to ALL. To a degree, they succeeded. Now, there will always be parks that enforce gender balancing, as well as the newer phenomenon of single-sex, male only places.
But it has led me to believe that one (not the only, but ONE) reason nudist park traffic has slowed down is the lack of a gender balance found in many nudist clubs. Women might be amenable to a "balanced atmosphere" but not a massive imbalance where they're outnumbered by a wide margin. And many men don't want to go into an imbalanced situation.... "hey, where's the women?"
Just musin' "out loud" on the keyboard. Did nudism's inclusiveness hurt it for its future? I don't know and I can't say. But it's an interesting thought.
Your thoughts? Especially would like to see comments on those who were into this before the 90s.
I have decided that after lurking for a while, I should introduce myself.
I am "David". That is not my real name, it is an alias. I created this account separate from my main account because I am not in a place where I can be open with people I know right now, hence the alias.
I have spent much of the last couple of years learning more about Nudism and Naturism and I can see the benefits of that lifestyle. This is why I have been lurking here, reading what you all say both to each other and to others like myself who are interested in and/or tangentially aligned with the idea of nudism. I kept reading posts and wanting to add my opinions to them but hesitating because I was still treating this account as a 'secret'. It's because of this I'm deciding to finally introduce myself.
I'm very privacy minded and hold the belief that once something is on the internet, it's there forever. With that in mind, I am (and will be) very selective about what personal information I share.
So here's what I will share:
I very much believe that where it's safe and practical, people should be able to decide what they wear, without social or legal consequences. This includes partial or full nudity.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying I believe nudity should be a right enshrined in law. Merely decriminalised and normalised. Obviously if youβre in a place where you need to wear some form of safety equipment, you donβt get to decide not to wear them. As I said, where it's safe and practical.
I don't plan on being a super-active member of this community
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello nudists of Reddit!
I have been a curious observer of "the lifestyle" since before I was 12 years old, but never had the guts to participate ask anyone about it. Nobody in my family is connected to it in any way, and I never brought it up. Lately though, I've been wondering if it is something I really do want to try.
There are a few things that give me pause about it:
First off, every nudist publication I have ever seen β be it from magazines or blogs on the Internet β seems to have a heavy outdoor focus. The simple fact of the matter is... I'm not an outdoorsman. I don't enjoy sports, excessive sunlight, hiking, or swimming. I have a motor control disorder, and I think that has shaped many of my hobbies. I enjoy coding, reading, gaming, tinkering with computers etc. I don't like the term "sedentary", but I think my interests tend to be more intellectual. I don't (and in some cases, can't) do much strenuous physical activity. Is this frowned on in social nudism?
The other thing is, I have some fairly heavy lower body scarring due to surgical procedures I had to undergo in my youth (again due to my handicap). I can sometimes be a bit self-conscious about them. It's not really an issue when I'm clothed, because most of them are hidden. But when I'm in my birthday suit, well let's just say there's no hiding anything. None of them are severely disfiguring mind you, and none of them are fresh. But do people get judged for that sort of thing? I know nudism is about body acceptance and all that, but does it actually work that way in practice?
Thank you for your patience, from a curious onlooker.
Either naming the story's title, summarizing it for readers here, or both AND if it only exists in the archived pages of a search engine, maybe mark it as "Archival only; (date)" for reference purposes.
This is a big ask I know because I have stumbled upon a handful of stories which I can no longer locate, so there is no guarantee of permanence in this category. That being said, if you also recall key elements or scenarios of a story well enough to describe those BUT cannot link to it, instead of the Archival label, maybe use "Past concept of merit" (PCoM) and allow this to be searchable?
Just wanted to share some excitement. I've been talking to some friends (including my girlfriend) about nudism for a little while. I recently went to my first nudist event (Pittsburgh Area Naturists' Balls-Out Bowling), and I shared with these friends about my experience.
Well, to my surprise, not only did they not think it was weird, but they were actually interested. We've scheduled a naked game night for later this week to test the waters... I'm really excited. Hoping this goes well!
So I want to try to ease my way into social nudism, I have been a at home nudist for many years but havent gone to a resort for fear of judgment?. I have some other hang-ups about going to an actual resort right away and I think finding a group of people around my age 20s-30s would help, so any tips on finding a small group or just a couple people would be great!
Edited wording
Basically just the title, I don't know if it looks good and I think my balls are kinda small, and what If I get an erection
I was operated when I was a kid, and I had to be naked all day to one month - I liked the experience. In January (summer in Brazil) I tried skinny dipping, then I searched of that was a normal
For example, have you had people respond negatively / treat you differently when you told them about your lifestyle, or faced any sort of harassment?
I have enjoyed occasionally being naked a few times before however there is one particular moment i can point to, i was listening to this mix on Youtube, however i had to take a shit during one of the songs and the urge was too big to even finish it, so i went to the bathroom, showered aswell, then came back and thought i might aswell just restart the whole mix just to get the same experience of listening to it all the way through uninterrupted, i still wasn't wearing anything but decided to listen to the whole thing while laying on my bed, i'm normally someone who likes to do other stuff while listening to music, but this time it was different, i could just lay there and get lost in the music, for some reason it was even better with the lights off (i didn't leave them off for long just so my parents would not be concerned), i wanted to bring it up so bad to Cyro Chamber's Discord server however back then i thought it could be kinda innapropriate to mention so i'm glad i get to share this experience, it was so great until my dad desperately tried to get in and got concerned for why i had my door locked and took a while to open it.
I originally made a post here suggesting that nudism should be a protest of the clothing industry. I've heard all of the feedback from users who either agreed or disagreed with the idea.
So I've come up with what I think is a much better idea and middle ground approach. Activism in favor of reducing dependency on clothes using a side channel that may get more people to spend time naked at home while not being directly related to nudism.
I made a poster to illustrate what I mean:
Internet shareable version: https://i.imgur.com/xVBb7Rp.png
HD version best for Poster printing: https://i.imgur.com/LlMQw9T.png
Update: I heard someone was having trouble with printing, so here's the PDF version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FL1cM8l0dnASHo63havEv6sM_riKMIrr/view?usp=sharing
I wrote facts about the harmful impact of the clothing industry on the environment and then provided a list of actions people could take which also include being naked at home and pushing for legalization of nudity on beaches, pools, and saunas.
Now the reason why I wrote legalizing nudity at those places, is because I think this is something a majority of people in the world could get behind and since it is something that is already extremely common in Europe. But I know some people may not like me including that in the poster because it may be far too suggestive of nudism. So I've also made a version of the poster without that sentence.
Poster without legalization push:

I've also made a subreddit community dedicated to this activist movement which you can join here: r/ReduceNeedForClothes (NO posting of nudity)
I don't know if the catchphrase will catch on. Feel free to make your own posters, subreddits, or communities that you feel might sound best.
Let me know what you guys think of this. I appreciate constructive feedback.

I'm really frustrated because lately whenever I strip, I get horny and it's really demotivating for me. I partly know why this is the case, it's because I live with others and can't be nude and engage in normal household activities as often as I would like to.
Does anyone know how I can sever plain nudity from sexuality? Because even though I know consciously that nudity is not inherently sexual, subconsciously it's a far harder process to disassociate the two from each other
Hi all, does anyone here have experience / interest in creating videogames? Would anyone want to help make a game that normalizes male nudism? I'd like to brainstorm with people on concepts, artwork and other resources that might be needed.
I want to think about obvious places where media could be embracing the male form. For example do superheroes really need to feign modesty with spandex underwear? Could we stylize characters with paint instead of clothes? I also want the nudity to be totally parenthetical, the game shouldn't draw attention to it or make a big deal about it. The goal is to show bodies in a rarely seen non-sexual context and help people imagine an alternate world based on acceptance.
Any thoughts?
I had a nudist phase through college in which I would go nude almost any chance I got and explored to see what friends/family were ok with me going nude around them so I didn't bother getting dressed. I've reeled that back so now I only go nude occasionally at home when alone, or when just my spouse is around. Is that still nudism? Does anyone else do that?
I will be interested to see how this develops as time passes by. I see so many projects for nudism started only to fail or disband after a short while. Nudism TV Project
Fellow nudists of Reddit, what are some of your favorite small pleasures you get to enjoy every once and a while as a nudist? How often do you do it? Perhaps it's something menial you took for granted before you became a nudist that you now enjoy more because of it.
For me personally, I love coming home after a really, really long, really exhausting work day and sitting back on the recliner nude in the living room and watching a movie with a couple beers. I don't know how to explain why being nude makes this better. It just does! (Today after working over 14 hours I chose one of mine and my dad's favorite movies growing up, The Longest Day 1962)
What are some of the small things in your life as a nudist that make you happy every now and then? :) Can be anything
I am a male but I have a female friend that I'd like to introduce into nudism
