A list of puns related to "Neville Longbottom"
Neville: "Why is it always me?"
His translator: "WHY I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS DRAGON SH*T EVERY BLOODY TIME?!"
(I was going to use bullsh*t but I feel this makes more sense in the wizarding world)
At that point, he had to pick the one that sounded the least ridiculous to get killed by albeit not much less ridiculous
So I've heard many people list things they like about Neville, but what is something that you don't like about him?
I'd prefer 8th year/post war fics but willing to read anything! ship or no ship, both okay. but no dark Neville please!
Neville really grew on me as the shows matured been re watching them since and his performance was nothing but amazing especially in the Order of the Phoenix.

Sirius Black x Neville Longbottom, Time Travel, slowburn.
In my opinion Snape hates Neville because if Neville had been the chosen one then Lily wouldn't have died.
... May 5, 2009, Neville Longbottom meets the video game
...Plants vs Zombies...
... The world of herbology will never be the same again ...
Is there a fic about Neville doing CRAZY experiments with plants?
A Neville as a mad scientist (herbologist) is something I didn't know I needed Β― \ _ (γ) _ / Β―
I don't know if someone has posted something like this, but the recommendations are well received.
I read HP for a second time this year. And can I just say that Neville is now my favorite character of all time. He started off by being this shy, anxious kid who didnβt believe in himself to someone who basically lead the insurrection at hogwarts while Harry wasnβt there. I love how, in the end, his grandma respected him for fighting the death eaters and making his parents proud. He found something that he loved to do as well. Neville, conqueror of fear, friend, professor and all around badass!
Because his Parents are Vegetables
I really enjoyed the character development of Neville going from standing up to his friends in the beginning to standing up for his friends at the end.
What are some things that you enjoyed about Neville and his character development?
With the support of his friends, the encouragement of Professor Lupin to face his fears, and the motivation of knowing his parentsβ torturers were on the loose, Neville became braver, more self-assured, and dedicated to the fight against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. This was proven by his participation in many battles and his revival of the D.A. in the face of threats and torture at the hands of the Carrows in his seventh year, as well as his defiance of Voldemort himself during the final battle. In addition to this, Neville also indirectly fulfilled his role in the prophecy by destroying Voldemort's last remaining Horcrux (by beheading Nagini with the Sword of Gryffindor) as it was this act which allowed Harry to finally defeat Voldemort.
Throughout the trials he faced over his seven years at Hogwarts, Neville blossomed from a timid, self-deprecating, and generally nervous student into a stalwart soldier possessed of an ironclad will, courage of outstanding merit, and a nobility of spirit, despite still having a comical and shy but at the same time courageous and fierce personality. In many ways, Neville's transformation allowed him to change from a scaredy-cat into a lordly lion, becoming a ferocious defender of his fellow students during Voldemort's reign. Suffice it to say, Neville's appointment to Gryffindor House was well-deserved. Although Voldemort chose to mark Harry as his target based on the prophecy, Neville proved by standing up to him and destroying his final Horcrux that he was almost exactly capable of being the other boy to meet the prophecy's requirements.
Thank you
I think this because I have seen Lunaβs interest in the crazy magical theories which she takes on from her father and I think those could be a special interest of hers and Neville is very adept at Herbology and he went on to teach Herbology at Hogwarts later and I think thatβs one of his special interests. I want to know what you guys think!
I think Robin in the Strike series is very much like Neville in the HP series and I wonder if you think there are other characters with similar potential.
Neville--first introduced as comic, or even pathetic, relief--went on to become a major hero at the Battle of Hogwarts. This only happened once he became the owner of a wand that chose him. Prior to his 6th year, he'd been using his father's wand, foisted on him by a grandmother with highly specific and unattainable expectations.
I've always seen Neville as a prime example of someone forced to follow a path in life that was never meant for him. He didnβt have the right tools (his own wand) to bring out his best, and he was under the influence of someone (his grandmother) who didn't appreciate him for who he really was. Once he had the right tools and better influences (for example, McGonagall encouraging him to pursue Herbology) he came into his own as a capable, confident wizard.
I think Robin is the Neville Longbottom of the Strike series. She needed to find the right tools (a job that suits her talents and passions) and get rid of the wrong influence (Matthew) to finally come into her own.
Do you think there is another Neville character in the books? Someone who will be transformed once they are out of the shadow of a dominant person and/or discover the right tools for the right life? I've thought of candidates as young as Jack or Martin and as old as Pat or Tedβeven Charlotte. Who do you think could surprise us with a major change in their life and what do you think might bring about the change?
- harry and neville saves hermione from bullies
- harry and nev have siblings
- become friends w susan
- harry, nev, hermione, and susan in gryffindor
- smart harry
- harry joins the England/Scotland (not sure) national quidditch team in 3rd year
- harry never lost a game (even with dementors)
- harry trains (advanced magic, quidditch, etc.)
- harry/hermione, neville/susan
How would Snape react and treat them both considering that he was already planning on hating the pair.?
My daugther started collecting these action figures from the Harry Potter series. These where made by Mattel. And she is looking for Neville Longbottom.
Do you think Neville witnessed his parents being tortured?
I was wondering if it's possible Neville witnessed, or heard, his parents being tortured, and it may be a reason for his struggle to perform magic well, or at all, for a great chunk of his childhood. Like, he has a mind-block with magic because of the trauma of that event.
