I could’ve sworn that was a part of the book, but they didn’t exist in the deathly hollows audiobook, I’m so confused
Summary
Harry reawakens on the forest floor, but he does not move. He feels the ache of the Killing Curse hit him. He hears the Death Eaters attending to Voldemort, who appears to have collapsed. Voldemort gets up, and sends an unknown person to check and see if Harry is dead. It turns out to be Narcissa. She asks Harry if Draco is alive and in the castle, and he tells her yes. She then calls out that Harry is dead.
The Death Eaters celebrate and Voldemort uses the Cruciatus Curse on Harry multiple times. The group starts back towards the castle, with Hagrid being forced to carry Harry in his arms. As they pass the Dementors in the treeline, Harry’s survival is his protection against them, something they cannot take away from him. Voldemort calls out to the people inside the castle and tells them to come out and see that Harry is dead.
They do so and many of them scream in horror, seeing Harry lying seemingly dead in Hagrid’s arms. They start screaming at Voldemort until he uses a Silencing Charm on them. It doesn’t last long, as Ron starts yelling at Voldemort until he uses another Silencing Charm on them. He’s about to continue lying about how Harry died when one of the defenders charges the line of Death Eaters, but is easily disarmed. Bellatrix identifies the defender as Neville Longbottom. Voldemort tries to recruit Neville for the Death Eaters, but he declares himself part of “DUMBLEDORE’S ARMY.” Voldemort then summons the Sorting Hat. Voldemort tells Hogwarts’ defenders that there will be no more war, that anybody who continues to resist will be killed, and that there will be no more houses. Everyone who attends Hogwarts in the future will be a Slytherin.
Voldemort forces the Sorting Hat onto Neville’s head, freezes him with a charm, then sets the hat on fire. That’s when a crapload of things happen at once. Hundreds of pro-Dumbledore/Harry reinforcements swarm over the boundaries, Grawp comes around the side of the castle and re-engages his battle with Dumbledore’s giants, the centaurs emerge from the trees and start shooting arrows at the Death Eaters, Harry slides out of Hagrid’s arms and pulls the Invisibility Cloak over himself, and Neville pulls the Sword of Gryffindor out of the Sorting Hat and chops Nagini’s head off.
Harry casts a Shield Charm between Neville and Voldemort to protect Neville, and chaos has ensued. Harry’s hitting every Death Eater he can see with jinxes, curses and hexes, Grawp and the thestrals are taking down the

Summary:
Harry Potter leaves behind his childhood home and journeys beyond the wizarding world to fulfill his destiny and destroy the Dark Lord. Voldemort gets louder and madder as his greatest secret is exposed. Ron, Hermione and all the major characters are challenged in fundamental ways as certainties established earlier in the series crumble. The wizarding world is no longer a happy place. Many beloved characters die, and some not-so-beloved characters too. Everyone returns to Hogwarts for the final battle of good versus evil. The Trio finds enduring love.
Thoughts:
1– I close at the open
The story circles back to where it began, with Voldemort defeated, the wizard world in celebration and a young, green-eyed boy named Potter off to a new school. No wonder many of us return to Book One and start again, to reread the saga with the secrets fresh in our minds. 'Deathly Hallows' revives and resolves beats and details from 'Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone': the un/happy orphan, the Put-Outer/Deluminator, the Dursleys in flight, the dragon at Gringott's, the wand chooses the wizard, yearning for lost family, the almost-swallowed Snitch and the relationship with Dumbledore. 'Deathly Hallows' roams far and wide but ultimately brings us home.
2– Farewell to boyhood dreams
'Deathly Hallows' gives us the end of childhood. Adulthood is the next great adventure. Harry begins the story poised to quit Privet Drive forever. He filters his belongings down to a single rucksack, the rest discarded. The subtraction continues, unstoppable. Harry loses Hedwig and his Firebolt. He parts from Ginny, the Weasleys, the Burrow, the Order, 12 Grimmauld Place and its House-elf. Ron leaves. The Holly wand breaks. Dobby dies, and Fred and Lupin and Tonks. The objects in the Room of Lost Things are destroyed in a fiery inferno, the past wiped away. Finally, Harry drops the Resurrection Stone. However. Against his chest Harry carries Hagrid's Moleskin Pouch, containing: Lily's letter, Sirius's mirror, Dumbledore's Golden Snitch and the Marauder's Map, which connects him to Ginny. Where your heart is, there your treasure will be also. Harry has the Cloak, his father's legacy. And from Mrs Weasley, the Prewett watch. These talismans of love, one for each of Harry's spiritual companions, are with him all the way, like the ghostly guardians who accompany him into the Forest clearing. ... keep reading on reddit ➡Do you think Harry Potter should've *died* and stayed dead in the series? This may seem controversial, but I think there are some good reasons for it (more so for a cinematic ending rather than a book ending).
I think it would've given Dumbledore's conversation with Snape more depth. Honestly, no one would think Harry would have died and then *bam*! It would have made Dumbledore's actions more controversial because while he thought Harry needed to die, he didn't. I think it also would have shown that he was The Chosen One and it would have been extremely heartbreaking.
The final scene could've ended on a happier note with a statue of him to honor him, or the flash-forward with Ron's kid being named Harry or something else. I just thought it would have more emotional impact if Harry died. (I'm bias though because I think the flash-forward ending is garbage).

Three guys avoid drowning, which has to happen a lot with that particular river, but since these three built a bridge, he felt cheated? And goes a roundabout way involving creating three items that allow dealing, reversing and even further cheating death to get those souls he felt robbed of?
Summary:
Harry awakens. He is uninjured and naked and calm. The space around him is misty white and begins to take shape only as his conscious mind becomes more alert. The glass domed ceiling belongs, perhaps, to a palace? A noise unsettles him. He gets up and, with a thought, conjures robes. Under a seat some unpleasant creature flaps and whimpers. Harry investigates and finds an infant; fetal, flayed. "You cannot help," says Albus Dumbledore.
Dumbledore is whole, happy and content. He greets Harry warmly, like an old friend. The headmaster confirms that he is dead but that Harry is not. The Dark Lord's Killing Curse destroyed the portion of Voldemort's soul attached to Harry, who had been the seventh, unintended Horcrux. When, three years earlier, Voldemort restored his body he foolishly took Harry's blood, which carried Lily's sacrifice-enchantment. Harry is tethered to life while Voldemort lives.
Harry asks about the Deathly Hallows. Dumbledore is ashamed that he could not trust him, fearing that Harry's hot head would triumph over his good heart. Tears in his eyes, he asks Harry's forgiveness. He calls the Hallows "a lure for fools" and derides the idea (he once held) that Master of Death means invincibility.
Grindelwald and Dumbledore shared a passion for the Hallows. They planned a revolution with the goals of Muggle subservience and wizard rule. Aberforth came home from school and spoke truth to would-be power, reminded Albus of his duty to their sick sister. They fought. Grindelwald lost control. Ariana died. Dumbledore went to work as a teacher while Grindelwald raised an army. Albus feared to face his former friend only because he feared the truth: which of them killed Ariana. Dumbledore begins to cry. Harry understands what Dumbledore would see in the Mirror of Erised and how closely it reflects Harry's own desire.
James Potter lent Dumbledore the Cloak of Invisibility two days before Voldemort’s house-call. Dumbledore had given up on the Hallows but now held two of the three. Years later when Dumbledore found the Resurrection Stone in the Gaunts' hut, he forgot it was a Horcrux, his thoughts all on Ariana. Still a fool for the Hallows, he was cursed. Dumbledore was worthy to tame the Elder Wand. But only Harry is sufficiently selfless, and therefore worthy, to possess all three Hallows. To be a master of death is to accept death, to face death without fear. This is a quality Harry showed even in the graveyard in Little Hangleton.

It’s nineteen years later, a crisp autumn day on September first. Lily Potter is tearfully clinging to her father’s arm. Harry reminds her it won’t be long before she gets to go to Hogwarts, but she refutes is still two more years. Albus and James continue their argument, Albus insists he won’t be in Slytherin, Ginny tells James to give it a rest and James teases he only said it might be a possibility. Ginny gives him a look that silences him and the Potters approach the barrier at Platform 9 ¾. James rushes through the barrier with his trolley vanishing and Albus asks his parents if they’ll write him. Ginny tells him they’ll write every day if he wants that. Albus mentions James said kids get letters once a month, but Ginny lets him know they wrote James three times a week the previous year. Harry lets him know he should not believe everything James tells him about Hogwarts.
They go through the barrier emerging into Platform 9 ¾, obscured by the steam coming from the Hogwarts Express. Albus anxiously looks for someone, and they go on looking for them as they pass Percy conversing about room regulations. They find Ron and Hermione’s family alongside the last carriage, Albus says hi to Ros who is also leaving for her first year at Hogwarts. Harry asks Ron if he had any issue parking and Ron confirms it was alright, commenting how Hermione thought he wouldn’t pass a Muggle driving test without Confounding the examiner. Hermione mentions she had complete faith in him but Ron whispers he in fact Confund him. Harry and Ron load Albus’ trunk onto the train and go back to Lily and Hugo arguing about what house they’ll get sorted into once the go to Hogwarts. Ron teases if it’s not Gryffindor they’ll disinherit them and Ros and Albus react worried. Hermione and Ginny tell them he doesn’t mean it, when Ron point towards Draco Malfoy, who nods and turns away. Ron tells Rose she should beat little Scorpius in every test. Hermione scolds him for putting them against each other.
James reappears back with news of Teddy and announces he was kissing Victoire, Bill and Fleur’s oldest daughter. Ginny asks if he interrupted them and compares him to Ron. James mentions Teddy came to see her off, and Ginny mentions how wonderful it would be if they got married so he would really be a part of the family. Harry says they should just invite him to live with him since he already is over for dinner most part of the week. James gets excited and doesn’t mind sharing

Summary:
As Harry lays on the floor he understands the reality of what will happen. He will not survive; he must accept his death is coming and not fight once he faces Voldemort. His heart is strongly pounding as he starts accepting his faith and thinking about his upcoming death. He thinks of all the times he has escaped death and wishes he had died on one of those times. He realizes he had not seen there was a bigger plan, he had always assumed Dumbledore wanted him alive. Dumbledore had passed on the responsibility of destroying the Horcruxes to him knowing ultimately, he will die. Dumbledore had trust he will get the job done not letting anyone else die, however the snake is still alive. He thinks about Ron and Hermione, decides he will not say goodbye and just walk into the forest to face his faith. He leaves the office and as he walks through the empty castle puts on the Invisibility Cloak. Neville nearly walks into him, as him and Oliver Wood are carrying the body of Colin Creevey. Wood decides to carry the body by himself, and Neville takes a moment to rest on the door frame before he goes on to recover more bodies. With a last look at the Great Hall he steps out of the castle. Once outside he decides to tell Neville he needs to kill the snake if he gets a chance, now once he is gone three people will know what needs to be done.
Harry puts the Cloak back on and keeps walking when he comes up to Ginny comforting a girl. He restrains himself from calling out to her and forces himself to keep waking into the forest. He sees dementors close by and as he is thinking this is the end of the game, he remembers the Snitch. He takes it out and realizes that is the moment, he is about to die. The ball opens and from inside falls the Resurrection Stone, with the Deathly Hallows symbol carved in it. He closes his eyes and turns the stone three times and it worked. He opened his eyes and sees the reflection of James, Sirius, Lupin, and Lily. His mom tells him he’s been so brave, and his dad tells him they are proud of him. Harry asks if it hurts to die, Sirius tells him it doesn’t, and Lupin adds Voldemort wants it to be quick. Harry let’s Lupin know he didn’t want him to die, and he is sorry they are dead. Lupin says he is also sorry he won’t get to know his son but hopefully he will understand he wanted a better world for him. Before continuing Harry makes sure they will stay with him, and Sirius tells him only Harry can see them. With the four of t

Harry remains at Snape’s side until Voldemort begins to speak again, once again magically magnifying his voice so that everyone can hear him. He congratulates the fighters of Hogwarts, tells them he will allow them an hour to dispose of their dead, and then talks to Harry directly. He gives Harry that hour to turn himself over to Voldemort or Voldemort himself will enter the action and will kill everyone he can until he finds Harry.
Harry starts thinking as the trio crawls back through the tunnel to the Whomping Willow. They hurry back to the castle, and find everyone in the Great Hall. Harry can see a group of the wounded that includes Firenze who are being tended to by Madam Pomfrey. He sees the Weasley’s gathered around Fred’s body. Ron and Hermione leave Harry and go to the small group of Weasley’s.
As Ron and Hermione join the group, it shifts a little and Harry can see the bodies of Lupin and Tonks lying on the floor, lifeless. Harry runs away, feeling like his insides are screaming in pain. He heads to the headmaster’s office, where he uses the password “Dumbledore” to enter. He pours Snape’s thoughts into the Pensieve and dives in.
Harry runs through a gamut of Snape’s memories. They start with Snape as a young boy, where he meets Lily and Petunia as young children his same age. Snape (and Harry) see Lily using some of her powers, which freaks Petunia out. Snape pops out and tells Lily she’s a witch. After a short argument with the two girls, they leave. The next memory sees Snape and Lily talking, with Petunia being the one hiding out and watching this time. Snape is telling Lily about the wizarding world, including about Dementors. Eventually, Petunia makes a noise, and Snape uses some of his magic to cause a branch to break and fall on her shoulder, hurting her. They both leave Snape again.
The next memory is Lily and Petunia at King’s Cross, where we find out Petunia wrote Dumbledore and tried to get him to let her into Hogwarts. Petunia calls Lily a freak and runs back to her parents, and that ends that memory. Now Lily and Snape are on the Hogwarts Express and Lily’s sad because Petunia is angry with her. They talk for a little while, but then Harry realizes that his dad and Sirius were hanging out in the same compartment. They bully Snape a little, then Snape and Lily leave the compartment.

Summary:
Fred Weasley is dead.
Harry and Ron move Fred's body to a safe niche. Percy Weasley, vengeful, hares off after Rookwood. Ron wants to follow, to kill Death Eaters, but Hermione talks him down. "We're the only ones who can end it!" She encourages Harry to enter Voldemort's head, to find the Nagini-Horcrux. Voldemort waits in the Shrieking Shack, not fighting, reassuring himself that the Diadem is safe, pondering the Elder Wand. The snake is suspended in a transparent, protective sphere. Lucius Malfoy, ragged, wants the fighting to stop so he can find his son. Voldemort sends him to fetch Snape.
The Trio slip away from two Death Eaters and, under the Invisibility Cloak, navigate the school. Dean Thomas, Parvati Patil, Kingsley Shacklebolt and Filius Flitwick duel more Death Eaters. Peeves rains down Snargaluff pods. Neville rains down Venomous Tentacular. Harry stuns a Death Eater who is threatening the wandless Draco Malfoy: "I'm Draco, I'm on your side." Ron punches Draco from under the Cloak. "That's the second time we've saved your life tonight you two-faced bastard."
Fenrir Greyback sinks his teeth into the already injured Lavender Brown. The wolf-man is blasted off his feet by a ferocious spell from Hermione then knocked unconscious by a crystal ball lobbed by Sybill Trelawney. Giant spiders infest the Great Hall. Hagrid tries to protect the Acromantulas and disappears in their midst. A giant, 20 feet tall, puts his fist through a window. Grawp, a runt by comparison, attacks.
In the grounds a hundred Dementors overwhelm the Trio until the Patronuses of Luna Lovegoood, Ernie Macmillan and Seamus Finnegan drive them back. Luna gives Harry hope and his silvery stag bursts forth and chases away the soul-sucking monsters. The Trio scamper to the Whomping Willow and disable the branches. Hidden by the Cloak, Harry crawls down the tunnel to the Shrieking Shack. Voldemort is unsatisfied with the Elder Wand. "Why doesn't it work for me Severus?" Snape wants to find Potter, echoing Lucius, but the Dark Lord is adamant that Harry will come of his own accord. Voldemort believes he is not the true master of the Elder Wand, because Snape killed Dumbledore its previous master. The suspended sphere containing Nagini engulfs Snape. Voldemort instructs the snake: "Kill."
Remorseless, Voldemort leaves with Nagini. Snape collapses. Blood gushes from his neck and Harry hastens to his side. Something silvery blue, neither gas nor liquid, emerges from S

I recently finished reading (for the first time) all the Harry Potter books, and I really hated the very end. It seemed so rushed and it didn't go into detail on how the deaths of major characters impacted their lives afterwards. To me, the ending seemed like 'oh we won, now let's skip to nineteen years later.'
Please tell me other people were disappointed with the ending of the books!?
(I've still never seen The deathly hallows part two movie)
Summary:
Harry surveys Dobby's grave in the garden of Shell Cottage and realises that he could not have left the elf in a more beautiful place. Bellatrix Lestrange strides across the lawn to meet him, Griphook the goblin trailing in her wake. Hermione has Polyjuiced into Bellatrix for the gang's assault on Gringotts bank. She has Bellatrix's wand from the Malfoy Manor skirmish, which she hates. In contrast, Harry likes the feel of Draco's wand in his hand. Having used up the last of the Polyjuice Potion, Hermione employs Transfiguration spells to give Ron a thick beard, heavy eyebrows and a short, squat nose. Griphook jumps on Harry's back. Wizard and goblin disappear under the Cloak of Invisibility.
In Diagon Alley, Hermione takes some time getting into character. The once-bustling arcade has deteriorated: more shops are boarded-up and homeless beggars, known as wandless, give them some hassle. They fall into step with a Death Eater, Travers, who is surprised that Bellatrix is allowed out and that she carries her own wand. At the bank's doors, Harry Confounds the guards. In the bank the goblins are suspicious of Bellatrix's wand. Harry uses the Imperius Curse on the bankteller Bogrod, and on Travers. After making Travers go hide, the Trio, Griphook and Bogrod take a cart down to the lower-level vaults. The cart runs through a waterfall and ejects them. Hermione stops their fall with a cushioning charm. "Thief's Downfall," explains Griphook. All magical concealment is washed away. Hermione and Ron are themselves again.
A dragon, pale and sickly but still dangerous, guards the oldest vaults. Griphook uses Clangers to drive it back. The dragon expects pain when it hears the rattling metal sound. Bogrod, re-Imperiused, opens Madam Lestrange's vault, a treasure trove. As the Trio searches for the Horcrux, the room fills with searing hot booty. Gemino and Flagrante curses on the glittering objects mean that anything the raiders touch burns them and multiplies into worthless copies. Harry spies Hufflepuff's Cup and hooks it with the Sword of Gryffindor. They ride out of Bellatrix's vault on a wave of scalding treasure. Griphook escapes with the Sword. The Trio is trapped.
Desperate, Harry improvises and frees the blind dragon. Harry, Ron and Hermione climb onto its back. The dragon claws its way up and out. Hermione and the boys help clear its path with spells. They leave the way they came in, through the front door. The dragon launches itself unsteadily

Alecto presses her Dark Mark and Harry can feel Voldemort’s triumph that Harry has been captured. Before Harry can react in his own body, Luna stuns the Death Eater and she crashes into the floor so loudly the ground shakes and wakes many of the sleeping Ravenclaws above. Harry gets back under the cloak just in time, as Ravenclaws come into the room and see Alecto on the floor. While they’re pleased she’s unconscious, they flee in terror when they hear Amycus at the door to Ravenclaw Tower, trying to get in.
Amycus, not interested in answering the question posed by the knocker, has to be assisted into the dormitory by Professor McGonagall, and she correctly answers the question posed. Amycus bursts into the room and the remaining Ravenclaws flee back upstairs. Amycus is ready to put Alecto’s predicament, including what he believes is the accidental touching of her scar, off on the kids, but McGonagall won’t allow it. After a brief disagreement, Amycus spits in McGonagall’s face. That pisses Harry off, and he emerges from under the cloak and hits Amycus with the Cruciatus Curse.
Harry informs McGonagall that Voldemort is on the way, and Luna emerges from under the Cloak, shocking McGonagall further. McGonagall tells Harry to flee, but he tells her that he needs to find the diadem of Ravenclaw. Before they can leave the dormitory, Harry feels a pain in his scar and sees Voldemort at the basin in the lake, and knows that the locket is gone. Harry, back in his mind, tells McGonagall he’s acting on Dumbledore’s orders, and she agrees to give Harry as much time as he can to search the castle for the diadem.
Wanting to get as many students out of harm’s way as possible, Harry tells McGonagall about the passage between the Room of Requirement and the Hog’s Head. McGonagall, who had Imperiused Amycus after he began stirring from being knocked unconscious by Harry’s Cruciatus Curse, now ties both siblings up and hangs them from the ceiling in a net. McGonagall sends Patronuses to the other three Heads of House, and the three of them leave the Ravenclaw dorm, with Luna and Harry back under the Invisibility Cloak.
While on their way somewhere, they hear footsteps and Snape reveals himself. He acknowledges that he knows something must be going on because of his Dark Mark, and before McGonagall and Snape can do more than exchange brief barbs at each other, McGonagall goes on the offensive. Summary
After a night of disturbing dreams, Harry and Hermione pack up early and Disapparate under the Invisibility Cloak. Hermione thinks she heard people outside. They Apparate in the Forest of Dean, where Hermione camped once with her parents. After a couple of nights of little sleep Harry is on high alert and takes over Hermione to keep watch. He was about to take the Marauder’s Map to watch Ginny for a while but remembers she will be home for Christmas break. He hears movement but attributes it to living creatures in the forest.
All of a sudden, a bright silver light appears ahead of him. The light is moving and Harry jumps to his feet as the light comes closer. A silver white doe steps out from behind an oak and moves toward him, the doe is familiar. Harry feels the doe has come for him so decides not to call for Hermione and though hesitant he follows after.. He follows her deep into the forest, until she stops and suddenly vanishes. Harry is confused, wondering if he is about to be attacked. There is nothing around except for a small frozen pool. He moves cautiously to examine the pool and sees a great silver cross, the sword of Gryffindor is lying at the bottom of it. He uses his wand to look around for whomever placed the sword at the bottom of the pool, but no one is there. He tries calling for the Sword with a Summoning spell, but nothing happens. He remembers last time the sword came to him at a moment of need and calls for help, but again nothing happens. He remembers Dumbledore telling him only a true Gryffindor could pull the sword out of the hat and recalls daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart. Sure no one is there, and he won’t be attacked, he takes off his clothes, places the pouch on top of his clothes and points Hermione’s wand at the ice. The ice cracks and Harry jumps in the ice-cold water. He dives in to grab the sword and as he pulls it upward something tightly closes around his neck. The Horcrux was tightening round his neck, suffocating him. He feels Death closing around his chest, but instead he is placed on the snow, choking. Summary:
Students, teachers, ghosts, and members of the Order of the Phoenix are gathered in the Great Hall. McGonagall is giving instructions on how students will be evacuated. Ernie Macmillan asks what if they want to stay and fight, to which Professor McGonagall says they may stage if they are of age. She also let’s them know there is no time to collect possessions, and that Snape has done a bunk. Harry is still looking for Hermione and Ron, when a high, cold voice is heard. Voldemort speaks, he warns their efforts to fight are pointless and he doesn’t want to kill anyone, as long as they give him Harry before midnight. They have till midnight to surrender. Pansy Parkinson stands up and points towards Harry. The Gryffindors stand around him facing the Slytherins, followed by the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, raising their wands to protect him. McGonagall directs Parkinson to leave the Hall first and asks the rest of the Slytherins to follow. The rest of the houses follow with all Slytherins leaving. Several Ravenclaws and more Hufflepuffs stayed, with only half of Gryffindor leaving, needing McGonagall to make the underage ones leave. As Harry joins the Weasleys, Kingsley gives further instructions to those fighting. Teachers will take groups of fighters to the towers, Lupin, Mr. Weasley and Kingsley himself will lead groups into the grounds. Fred and George volunteer to defend the entrances of the passageways into the school.
McGonagall reminds Harry he is supposed to be looking for something, as he is still worried for Ron and Hermione. He leaves the Great Hall with eyes following him, not sure how to proceed. Trying hard to concentrate he is sure Voldemort expected him to go to Ravenclaw Tower, confirming the Horcrux is connected to that house. He realizes no living person had seen the diadem, and as he makes his way through the crowd of students leaving, he finds Nearly Headless Nick. He asks Nick who is the ghost of Ravenclaw Tower, to which a little offended Nick responds is the Gray Lady and points Harry to her. Harry rushes after the gliding ghost. She pauses and Harry reaching her asks to tell him anything she knows about the lost diadem. She is not very helpful at first and tells him he is not the first to ask. Harry explains this is urgent since it will help him defeat Voldemort. She budges and starts explaining she was Helena Ravenclaw, daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, but she doesn’t believe wearing the diadem will help. Harry reiterates

Summary
Harry stares down at Dobby’s lifeless body on the grass. He eventually realizes they arrived at the right place, as his friends surround them. Harry covers Dobby’s body with his jacket, then requests a spade to dig Dobby’s grave with. As he digs the grave, he can feel Voldemort’s rage at arriving at Malfoy Manor and Harry having escaped. He feels it, but does not allow it to overwhelm him. As with Sirius’ death, Harry’s emotions create a barrier between him and Voldemort’s mind.
He thinks through the previous day’s events, everything he knew and learned, for so long that Ron and Dean eventually come out to join him. They join in the digging of Dobby’s grave, and when they’re finished, Harry wraps Dobby fully in his jacket, Ron gives the elf his shoes and socks, and Dean provides a hat, which he places on Dobby’s ears. Everyone else arrives from the cottage and Luna closes Dobby’s eyes.
They have a short service for Dobby, and Bill covers the elf’s grave with the earth removed from the hole. Harry carves the elf’s headstone. Harry heads back into the house, where Bill is informing everyone else that they managed to get the rest of the Weasley family into hiding before the Death Eaters could get to them. Harry tells Bill that he needs to talk with both Griphook and Ollivander.
Harry continues to think over the things he’s putting together after the trip to Malfoy Manor. Bill starts to question him about what’s going on, but he waves off their issues. He calls Ron and Hermione upstairs with him and they talk with Griphook first. After a bit of small talk, Harry asks Griphook for a favor: He needs help breaking into a Gringotts vault. After a lengthy conversation about the idea, Griphook indicates that he will think about Harry’s request and the trio leaves Griphook in the room, Harry taking Gryffindor’s Sword with him as they go.
In the short period between them talking with Griphook and Ollivander, Harry confirms his belief that he assumes there’s a Horcrux in Gringotts. They then head in and talk to the wandmaker. Harry asks Ollivander whether it’s possible to fix his wand, and then Ron and Harry ask him to identify the wands they brought with them from Malfoy Manor. The wands Harry has belonged to Bellatrix and Draco, though Ollivander suggests that Malfoy’s wand may have changed allegiances with Harry taking it away from him.

I believe the book "The Tales of Needle the Bard" bequeathed to Hermione Granger by Albus Dumbledore in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" once belonged to Gellert Grindelwald.
Here's what lead me to think this. At Fleur and Bill's wedding Viktor Krum comments that the Hallows where Grindelwald's mark and it's later confirmed that Grindelwald attended Durmstrang.
Grindelwald is the great nephew of Bathilda Bagshot who was a renowned magical historian and author of multiple books. As a historian, research and collecting books would be important.
While speaking with Xenophilius Lovegood Hermione confirms that her copy of the TToBB is an original copy.
Hermione's copy of TToBB is embossed with the mark of The Deathly Hallows. Aberforth Dumbledore remarks that Albus didn't pursue the Hallows until after meeting Grindelwald.
Knowing what we know now about Dumbledore and Grindelwald's relationship from "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" I believe Grindelwald gifted the book the Dumbledore. A gift between two powerful wizards who cared for each other greatly.
I tried searching the internet for confirmation but haven't been successful. It's been almost 15 years since the book series ended and I'm not up to date with all of the additional information released by fans or the author JK Rowling herself.
