Mullan Puns

The traffic light at the Mullan-Reserve intersection is supposed to be on a sensor, correct? Anyone else notice that when going south on Reserve the light stays green FOREVER even when there's literally no one going that way? Pain in the ass when I'm trying to go across on Mullan.

For those who don't know:

-Mullan Baradar was the co-founder of the Taliban back in the '90s along with Mullah Mohammed Omar.

-In 2010, Mullah Baradar was apprehended in Pakistan and held there for years until 2018 when Donald Trump's Afghan envoy asked Pakistanis to release Baradar so he could lead negotiations in Qatar.

-Baradar later signed the Doha Agreement with the US in Feb 2020, which the Trump administration hailed as a breakthrough toward peace, which now appears to be nothing more than a staging post for Taliban victory.

-Taliban attacks and U.S. deaths have now hit unprecedented levels. According to iCasualties, 120 American soldiers have died in Afghanistan this year, compared with 155 in all of 2008.

Here we are today, the world watching the brutality unfold on the people of Afghanistan, and Republican legislators immediately began blaming this on Biden. Biden inherited this ticking time bomb from Trump. Yet, Republicans are setting a narrative in hopes that after Biden stamps out this flaming bag of dog crap, the remnants will indefinitely stick to his administration posturing for a Republican takeover in 2022 that will, in turn, reopen the door for Trump 2024.

I'm on my my third watch of "Ozark", after two watches of "Westworld". I just realized the he is Jacob Snell AND James Delos. Great actor.

Apologies if someone else said this. I was rewatching the first episode and I noticed Michelle smirk after describing the “Mr Mullan affair” to James. And this was done by fourth years and Michelle states earlier in the episode that they’re fifth years so I’m guessing she had something to do with it.
