How thin is too thin when filling gaps in cement board? I can see the fiber tape through the dried mortar after filling gaps and smoothing out. Is that bad?
Thank you for your time. I'm renovating my master bathroom in the house I just bought a couple months ago. This is my first time tiling and this is a shower stall. I fiber taped the joints and used mapei premium mortar 'ready to use' premixed to fill these gaps.
My question is how thin is too thin when scraping down the mortar for the gaps? As you can see in the photo I can see the fibers. Should I do another coat slightly thicker?
I 100% plan on red guarding this whole thing as my next step and then tiling but the prep is crucial as I've learned from youtube.

I got invited to apply to this honors society I've never heard of before (granted, I'm not very active in extracurriculars). Is anyone a part of this/have any experience with this?

Do you need to mortar the screws and edges of Kerdi Board before the tiling process if it’s outside the shower?

I Kerdi Board one side of my bathroom beyond the shower to tile the entire wall. Ill be applying Kerdi Band inside the shower area. But outside the shower area where I don’t need waterproofing, do I need to mortar the screws and edges prior to tile day? Or can I just cover them when I’m tiling?
My third peice of star wars legions terrain, wip. 3d printed at-st. Mortar insulation foam, and foam board. Next step is paint, resin, weathering and flocking to top it off.

Is it possible to tile or veneer over stucco? I have a pre-fab outdoor kitchen that I’d like to update with preferably stone veneer. Can I use mortar right on the stucco after cleaning it up or do I need to completely remove and start over with fresh backer board?
Posted before about my CPU not being detected on my MSI B450m Mortar max, contacted my local seller he told me that other buyers returned the same board due to the same issues. He said this is a reoccurring issue on this model. Any other recommendations besides MSI?

So uh.... senioritis got the better of me and I missed the deadline for ordering a cap for online graduation. Anybody be able to tell me what the caps look like so I can make my own? I think it's just a standard black mortar board, but is the tassle just gold thread, or something else? TIA
Update: Wow whaddaya know, uwm was just trying to get more money. You can just walk into the store in the union and buy whatever stuff you need for graduation there, including getting cap, gown, and tassle. This means instead of paying late fees for having the full set shipped to me with a base price of $60, you can just walk in, tell them what school you're graduating from, and they'll sell you your cap ($9), tassle ($7), and gown ($50) right then and there.

Is the Agesa 1.2.0.2 Beta Bios being removed on MSI B550m Mortar Boards?
Heya, I was just checking around on the MSI site earlier to see if they were going to push a non beta 1.2.0.2 AGESA and to my surprise I saw that update V16 is only patch A and the beta 1.2.0.2 is missing out right. I wonder if anyone else has caught this since make me wonder if the 1.2.0.2 AGESA didn't fix the usb issues (like in my case) for most users or it caused a lot more issues than usual.

Had a go at making some brick walls this week. Foam board and cereal box cardboard for the main construction, and Spakfilla for the mortar. Full process is in the video in the comments if you're interested. Thanks.
Adhesive or Mortar for attaching cut brick to cement board?
I just finished putting up cement board around my fireplace insert. It's about 4' tall and 6' wide. I've seen a lot of people install tile and stuff with a variation of liquid nails so I'm wondering if I need to go through the mortar process or if using a tube adhesive is sufficient? I am attaching real brick cut down into face tiles. I do plan to grout the gaps after laying it.
If the adhesive is fine, what kind is best recommended for this job?

Drain cover won’t snap in because it isn’t exactly centered in the pan, what should I do? Pan is already set in mortar and backer board and waterproofing already installed
Update: Swapped board for 5900x. NH-D15s won't fit in my case on a MSI B550M Mortar WiFi, because the cpu mount is placed further up on the board. Can't close my case anymore...by 2 millimeters...
