A list of puns related to "Military Branch"
Generally intended for people who arenβt currently serving. Letβs say a war broke out and you got drafted.. you are lucky enough to get the choice of which branch and role you go into. Which one would you pick? Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines? This question could also be if you just wanted to join without there being a war.
Also, is there any particular role you would want within that branch? E.g Sniper, Infantry, Medic, Technician, Driver etc.. I would love to hear where you would enjoy working best and why you would rather have that role.
Take into account the propaganda, friends enlisting, the social pressures pushing you to enlist.
This doesnβt apply to me but Iβve been curious about what things from someoneβs past do and donβt dq someone from joining?
If someone had cancer earlier in their life (like childhood) but are cancer free now and have been for a while with no lasting problems can they still join any branch or will they automatically get dqed?
Sorry if thatβs a dumb question with an obvious answer but I donβt know and have been wondering for days. Itβs been bugging me not knowing lol.
Basically I applied for the army a few months back, knowing I wanted to join the marines but solely going in so I can get a trade with them. They said Iβm medically not fit because I said Iβm hyper mobile and I took buscopan a while back (for a short period) to relax a hernia. Turns out it was nothing to do with the hernia but thatβs what is written down. The hyper mobility I was shocked with because it doesent affect me Iβm just a bit more flexible. But Iβve spoken to my gp and got a referral letter stating Iβm not on any medication and that thereβs no reason why I canβt join. Basically what I want to know is will the royal marines know that this happened and if so will it affect my application?
Iβm giving it a go regardless, just looking for a couple answers, cheers.
I'm currently enlisted in the Army National Guard (FL) I'm 18 and dealt with poverty my whole life. I'm looking to go to college and get the most benefits possible. I know reserves and active have different benefits. I heard going active makes it almost impossible to finish 4 semesters worth of classes so I think that'll narrow this down a bit
I have to get 10 kills on tanks as a plane and I fucking despise planes. Its just not fun at all and it'd be hypocritical af of me bc CAS is the thing I complain about the most. I'd just cringe at myself. Can I just go into air RB and take out AI tanks? Or does that not count?
I (35M) flirted with the idea for almost 2 decades now.
Went to Marine OCS during college, sent home halfway through due to a broken foot, but given the option to try again in the future. Life got in the way, however, and I turned to other things since then and all of a sudden I'm 35. But the fire's still there, and I've been thinking about it more as I come closer to the upper age limit for joining.
Physically, I'm probably in the best shape of my life right now. I gave up drinking 5 or 6 years ago, and getting older (and not having FOMO about things anymore) allowed me to stay disciplined about my dieting and exercise.
As a 20yo kid, I was super gung-ho on the Marine Corps because I didn't know any better. I was going to be an Infantry officer, which would have been a big mistake cuz that's really not me. But at that age, testosterone makes the decisions, not the brain. Now as a 35M, I see that I am a much much better fit for things like Intel, Public Affairs, Instructional Systems/design.
I'm also starting grad school at an awesome school (for Instructional Design) this fall. So I figure instead of active duty, Reserves would work pretty well with my schedule. I'm siding towards Navy, but that's only because I know/have researched WAY more about the Navy and Marines than any of the other branches. I'm here looking for some recommendations, maybe there's a lot I'm not seeing here in regards to other branches, maybe possibly even ANG or NG units, etc.
I think the only hard exceptions at this point is that I can't go AD. Everything else is game though, would love to hear your thoughts. I would just like to get some military service under my belt instead of living the rest of my life with regrets and would love to squeeze out maybe a deployment or two in the process. Thanks,
The Naval Corps.
