A list of puns related to "Metropolitan Police Service"
During this week's episode i remembered the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, a major counter-terrorism operation mired in police misconduct and general incompetence.
Then it hit me. Both operations are quite similar, including the fact that none of the officers were diciplined and the senior officer in charge became commander of the police force.
Furthermore, Cressida's carrer seems to be engulfed by scandals that never reflect on her command, including failing to implement changes brought by a failed investigation into child abuse, called Operation Midlands, the aformentioned shooting of an unarmed suspect in the tube and, most recently, the police response during a vigil related to the murder of Sarah Everard, a marketing executive slayed by an Metropolitan Police officer attached with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection unit.
Finally, just a fun anecdote, she has been critical of the police depiction in Line of Duty, saying that the real police force is not that corrupt.
Sorry for the corruption of your language. i am not a native.
Hello, good evening, today I am wondering to ask a question based about medics/paramedics and if within the British police force there are positions within certain units where medical attention and skills can come in handy, for example; CTSFO-19, SCO-19, ARV (Armed Response Unit) and other units.
I would love to understand more as I don't currently know what on earth to read in order to know, so I thought asking a Reddit based r/policeuk community would be a good idea and I would receive a better answer, et.c.

The Met recently started doing random street drug swabbings. I see this as a violation of civil liberties. The rationale was "women's safety", because they can get away with anything if they say that. Ironically, it resulted in one arrest, which was of a woman.

>The footage, posted by the Met's official Twitter account, went viral and received an angry backlash from many Londoners.
>The Met Police has now released a statement defending their actions, saying the drug tests were aimed at protecting women's safety in the capital.
>They say it was filmed as part of a βweek of actionβ supporting womenβs safety in early December
> πMany Londoners questioned the legality of 'random swabbing'
> π£οΈOne Twitter user said: βThis is insane. So if you lean against a bar or use a toilet in a club and get traces of a drug on your hand what then? Is this now a criminal offence? Can you confirm thisβ

Mystical Mr Cool missed a call: "Miss Dick'll mist a caul!"
Everybody involved in this deserves plaudits, but especially to writer Jeff Pope for showing ordinary working-class lives with respect and dignity, and making the four victims real, complex individuals, and to Stephen Merchant for a performance that chills to the bone and will haunt your memories for a long time to come.
