A list of puns related to "Median Strip"
So thereβs a guy, younger white fella who sits, on the side of, or in the middle of 29N wearing his Stars&Bars (Confederate Flag) face mask and watches the traffic pass by. Maybe a half dozen times Iβve seen him last few months. Just a creepy reminder or just a simple traffic watcher? Anyone else notice him?
Triple Laning the road or a bus or P2 lane?
I grew food in my berm last year, which is the strip of land in between the curb and sidewalk. Cities call this land different names depending on the region. In Detroit it's called the berm. Does anybody else grow food on this land??
I live near Portland, OR. Just had the sidewalks replaced after 20 years of root lift. Previously there were two trees in front of the house (flowering cherries), which were pretty but caused a lot of sidewalk damage. Iβm supposed to replace the trees with 2 new deciduous trees, which I donβt mind doing, but Iβd like suggestions for something that wonβt destroy the sidewalk. Ideally something native to the PNW if I can. Any suggestions, or info on where to find some good info online?
Honestly the amount of times I've pulled out slowly to use a median strip to merge into a busy road. Almost every time I get tooted at, idiots serving other morons doing wtf gesture. It's almost like no one understands how they work
Hello,
How do you map an impassable central reservation / median strip / central island (I don't know how do you call it) like that ? In the previous image it is a roundabout but it's not necessarily one it could be a classic intersection like that too.
I'm not sure at all. Do you just map for example a grass zone if it's just a grass covered central island or is there a specific tag for this kind of thing ?
Thank you.
Hey RADelaidians!
I grab the 157 bus to and from work a few times a week and was just curious about those "houses" you see on the median strip on Port Road. What on earth are they? There can't be people living there, right?
My boss moved down here from New York and he keeps making the remark that he hates the "chicken lanes" down here, but I was under the impression they were everywhere in the U.S. He says they don't have them where he's from and I was curious if northern states don't have them, and if not, how do people turn in to parking lots when there are a lot of them consecutively on a multi-lane road?
Near the South Road off ramp. Edit - I just spotted it again on the way home this arvo - so it's been on the median strip for at least a week . . . yep, it still hasn't made it across the road.
