A list of puns related to "Marquand"
Iโll preface this with him not being a guy I would particularly love, but one thatโs come up a fair amount.
Current Job: DB/New York Jets
Age: 42
Experience: 2021- pres. DB/New York Jets
2020: DB/ Philadelphia Eagles
2017-2018: DC/ Atlanta Falcons
2015-2016: DB/ Atlanta Falcons
2014: Assistant DB/ Seattle Seahawks
2013: Defensive Assistant/ Seattle Seahawks
2012: Assistant Special Teams Coach/ Seattle Seahawks
Scheme: He runs the Pete Carroll Cover 3 scheme, as thatโs what he ran in Atlanta, and what he came up in under Carroll and Quinn. Runs a base 4-3, but lots of 4-2-5 looks as well. Carroll, Quinn, and Manuel seem to be comfortable running man on the outside as well. His current boss, Robert Saleh, is also from this same coaching tree. Not a lot of blitzing, as Manuel really tries to get pressure from the front four.
Stats:
Pros: young, energetic guy. Has DC experience in the NFL. Has been a good DB coach at the NFL level. Players love him. Florida Alum.
Cons: No college experience. Never recruited. Wasnโt good as a DC in Atlanta.
Overall: Heโs a guy. I get why people would want to bring him in, arguably moreso than Muschamp, and definitely moreso than Chizik (which is a total mystery tbh). Is he my top guy? No. Has he coordinated a defense AR the highest level? Yeah. I was a little harsh before when I said heโd only be brought in because heโs an alum. In an ideal world, heโs surrounded by great recruiters, and the simplification of the scheme really helps. I have some questions about him going down to the college level, but I think heโs a guy that would bust his ass trying to make it work, which is more than I can say aboutโฆmost of our coaches. Allegedly had some interest when Mullen brought in Torrian Gray, but I donโt recall hearing about him being interested this past offseason.
Just posting cause I thought he did an awesome job as Ultron. Really pulled it off well.
I actually liked his portrayal better than Spader's... even though of course his was based partly on Spader's. He toned down the Spader and added it a little bit of his own stuff which worked perfectly.
Really helped to make those last two episodes as cool as they were.
And of course he does a flawless Red Skull as well.
