A list of puns related to "Casaubon"
There seems to be a lack of mind and body intimacy in the Casaubon marriage. I don't know that Dorothea was open to another person before as she is to Will. Is this because he is so persistent and ardent toward her? Lydgate is NOT jealous at all of Will and encourages his company; he and his wife are not intimate in spirit but did conceive a child in the first year of marriage, as did Sir James and Celia. Not Dorothea. Dorothea wanted a great soul - someone who may even be a father figure - but she did not have that connection, and there seems to be no other solace.
So - the will is that Dorothea can't marry Will or forfeit her inheritance. What are her obligations for money she spends before she marries Will? Can she donate left and right to Mr. Fairbrothers, etc.? Give her uncle money to give to Will, as she always wished Will to have it? If Dr. Lydgate pays her back later, would she give the money back to the estate as a matter of conscience? And who would get the property anyway, if Casaubon has no immediate relations? I'm trying to work this out so that she keeps her honor and can still marry Will. Casaubon's a fiend - marrying a woman so young, and then saddling her with his jealousies.

dr10 Let us all welcome the team from Pikciochain.com @Didiercc (Didier Collin de Casaubon) and @Fabien (Fabien Bucamp). You can all start asking them questions. I'd ask team from Pikciochain to use @ username to the one they are responding to and I'd like to ask all the community to give them some time to catch up if too many questions in backlog, before asking more so questions don't get lost. Thank you!
Didiercc Thank you
Fabien Thank you @dr10
dr10 Can you please sum up what Pikciochain is about and what problem it tries to solve?
Didiercc PikcioChain is a personal data management platform addressing compliance, certification and security challenges not addressed by current solutions. On this platform, you can run applications on the various set of data our clients want to manage
dr10 So you are basically doing what Civic and Persona are doing? Or in what way do you differ?
Didiercc These solutions are called "sovereign identity" projects, we are working for corporation so on a B2B level where you can get real certfication abou the data
vela_nova I canβt be the only one who read that as pikachuchain :pokeball:
Crypto Davino You can see the advantages of PikcioChain compared to others (like Civic, Remme etc.) in the whitepaper (page 15, if I'm correct)
dr10 Are you an own blockchain or an erc20 token...?
Didiercc own blockchain because for compliance reason you cannot run on an open blockchain the token is on ERP-5 So its a Permission-based model we start the development in 2014
dr10 What is ERP-5? Is this based on another blockchain? Or an ecosystem?
Crypto Davino NEO!
Didiercc NEP-5, sorry :-)
Elmo Profile your team members show all from MatchupBox. Is pikciochain a project of MatchupBox?
Didiercc Good question, yes this is MatchupBox project
Elmo So MatchupBox has other projects/services other than pikciochain?
Didiercc No, that's the only focus + the various applications/use cases
Fabien We first wanted to create our token on ETHEREUM
Elmo What is the reason to separate pikcio and MatchupBox if they are essential doing the same project?
Didiercc Don't tell Da Hongfei I made the mistake :-)
Fabien Then we switched to NEO for the token PKC
Didiercc It's not a separat

The Brookes have dinner with Sir James Chettam and Reverend Edward Casaubon. The group discuss farming and economic policy. We find out that Mr. Brooke is well connected and has some famous acquaintances, including the poet Wordsworth. Dorothea grows a little embarrassed by her uncle's pride in this as she believes that Casaubon is likely to see it as trivial talk. She challenges one of her uncle's remarks on the topic of investing in new farming technologies, but he is unperturbed and dismissive of her. Sir Chettam tries to offer her use of one of his horses, but Dorothea refuses, blind to his advances. We see that she holds the Reverend Casaubon in high regard. He takes note of her and mentions that he is looking for a reader/assistant for his scholarly work. After dinner, Dorothea and Casaubon discuss religion, and in the days that follow we see them bond over this topic.
In chapter three, Casaubon visits the Brooks again, and even hints to Dorothea that he would be interested in taking a wife or companion. We get a rough idea of Casaubon's scholarly interests; he wants to write a history that unites religion and mythology. Dorothea is overjoyed at the thought of marriage. She believes that marrying a man like Casaubon and working as his assistant would be a noble vocation that would lead to an education of sorts for the wife. They agree on most things, but as the chapter continues, we do see one divergence of opinion; Dorothea wants to help the local poor by building cottages for them, while Casaubon disapproves of this idea. Sir James Chettam continues to pursue Dorothea, despite her lack of interest in him and her belief that he would make a good husband for her sister. Not to be deterred, Chettam involves Dorothea in building cottages for the poor on his lands. Left on the sidelines, Celia observes Dorothea and her suiters.

In chapter two: Mr. Brooke mentions a friend of his, a man called Sir Humphry Davy. Sir Davy was well known during his time and wrote Davy's Agricultural Chemistry on the topic of science based farming. During the same conversation Mr. Brooke brings up Adam Smith, a political activist and author of the influential 'Wealth of Nations' novel. Smith advocated for 'national liberty' in the pursuit of wealth. Mr. Brooke and Casaubon also discuss William Wilberforce, a politician, philanthropist, evangelical writer and leader of the British movement to abolish the slave trade.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Wow! That's it, that's all folks. This brings us to the end of our year long journey in Middlemarch together. Thank you so, so much to each an everyone of you for your comments, insights, feelings, opinions or just quiet upvotes if you were following along silently. I have really enjoyed this challenge and I think we made a pretty good team, readers and mods together. That being said it is of course time to shout out for next years mod team. Anyone fancy re-reading and leading the discussions for the next r/ayearofmiddlemarch?
Don't forget, as per poll results, we will have a normal post on December 31st for watch party/book comparisons and final book chat. See you there :)
Ok no more procrastinating, let's head to Middlemarch for the last time...
SUMMARY
The Chettams, and Cadwalladers are talking politics at Freshitt when an agitated Mr. Brooke arrives with news that Dorothea will marry Will in 3 weeks time. Sir James is furious and declares he doesn't ever want to see her again. Everyone else is more forgiving. Celia heads straight to Lowick to see her sister in the hopes of persuading Dorothea to change her mind. When she realises she can't she asks for details instead, but Dorothea says she wouldn't understand.
Mr. Bulstrode worries about his wife and what she thinks of the whole ordeal. He asks her what she would like him to do with all his land. Mrs. Bulstrode wants him to help out Fred and Rosamund. He can do nothing for the Lydgates, but Mrs. Bulstrode could ensure Fred gets Stone Court as Caleb had previously suggested.
Caleb interrogates Mary about her love for Fred. Even though it will be a good while till they can marry she is happy to wait for Fred. Then Caleb reveals the good news about Stone Court. Mary tells Fred and at 1st he doesn't believe it. Once it sinks in he says they no longer have to wait to marry. Their intimate moment is interrupted by Ben Garth.
In the Finale Eliot gives us closure on the main chatacters.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
