I’ve found countless schematics for AC bias, which is preferable, but I’m looking for a simple solution using DC since I’m not looking for high fidelity. All I could find in patents says 5v, but I have no idea how much current, or where to introduce the bias, or any schematics. Thank you

Time ruins VHS tapes, making the picture look blurry / fuzzy. But if the magnetic fields get measured with greater precision and resolution than originally intended, can a software reconstruct original quality video? The tape reading can happen in 10% or 1% speed.
When playing as a Scav in Customs, I was given a Secured magnetic tape cassette (SMC) at spawn,,,
This item was new to me, so I double-clicked (to inspect), and the background suddenly turned into a bird's eye view of customs - almost like a uav footage (these two images are screenshots taken with different game time & location)
The interesting is that:

the corpse seen in the bottom of footage was 'there' when i visited the old construction site

there was a player running across the map (the footage was video, almost like real-time)
So... I'm wondering what it was - It almost felt like hacking (and of course i don't use hacks at all)
Has anyone experienced something like this?? This looks like a groundbreaking bug to me.

I was capturing old home video using a vhs capture card. The video seems to be in pretty bad shape, with rainbow and horizontal distortions. The original was Hi8 video. Are there any programs or filters that can reduce the severity of these problems? Here is a screenshot to show the type of damage:

Which superstar ability do you guys like more? If I go with tape to tape I will bump up my offensive awareness more. If I go with magnetic I will bump up my passing more. Let me know what you guys think please
I am currently working on a "Cassette Futurism" (a derivative of cyberpunk) type world, in which the LaserDisc was even more of a failure, and thus CD technology never got off the ground. They would then be using magnetic tape for many more years. How fast do you think magnetic tape technology would advance from then until the early-mid 2000s setting of my world?
Just to give you an idea of how unlimited the storage capacity on magnetic tape is, Sony announced in 2014 that they had developed a tape with a storage space of 23 GB/cm2. That's potentially over 180TB on one cassette!
IBM announced in 2020 that they had technology using strontium ferrite that could lead to over 500TB on a single tape! Obviously these kinds of advanced tapes would never be available to the masses in reality. However it does make you think.
The 240MB "Superdisc" floppy disk was invented in 1997, and Zip drives could hold 750MB.
As the title says, anyone know where I can dowload a wav file or such?
