Basically, I live in NYC and am totally new to Airsoft and guns in general. My soon to be 15 year old Nephew has this crappy rifle that shoots one at a time and you have to cock every time you shoot, it's just terrible. Anyway I was thinking I'd get him a pistol, something automatic that he can shoot a bunch at a time. After reading some here, it seems it would be better to get an AEG Rifle, so this is what I want to get. My Nephew is in the South, so no issues with legality.
I read the beginner guide, especially the section on beginner Rifles between $150 - $250. Emailed Amped Airsoft to see if they will ship to NYC (they will), but then most everything there and on other sites I checked seemed to be sold out.
Before I started looking for a gun, I thought Airsoft was a brand, I'd find one in a few minutes and be done. Now I see there are many brands and just not easy to pick one out, so I could use some help.
I'll list below exactly what I'm looking for and I appreciate any recommendations/feedback.

Hello redditors! So, I want to buy a new MP5 this summer as a primary gun built. I am looking for some good and solid MP5 with collapsible stock which is NOT AN SD VERSION. I watched a lot of videos about new ICS one and VFC 3-round burst zinc alloy one. Of course, ICS is much better externally, because it has steel upper and internally, BUT, I had VFC one in my hands and the pistol grip and foregrip feel so much better (the only reason I'm looking for VFC one except markings). You can say that I should buy ICS, but there is another BUT: it's not in stock in my country and vfc is purchasable right now. So I want you to help me decide between two variants: wait for ICS to get in stock or buy VFC right now and make it shoot better in customs. Of course I know about G&G and new CYMA's and yes, they aren't in stock too.
I recently bought the Matrix Sportsline m4 package on evike and i shot the gun with both batteries and both mags but it doesnt shoot. I have no idea if its the gun or just me no knowing something to set up the gun. Thank in advance

I've seen a few hopefuls over at r/easyequities and here regards AEG. My thoughts are reserved but gosh darn, the potential is exponential. I'm long in this company with a R15k hodl on it. Potential upturn with Infrastructure development and investment from internal companies. Lets get talking points going though
So the family and I just got space base and point salad to the table. Space base is genius, especially for a person like myself that loves hitting craps tables. Shy Pluto expansion makes it that much better. The wife loves point salad and the kids 5 and 9 love playing both. We have played either of these every night for the past 2 weeks and are loving it.
I just ordered cubitos and can’t wait to dive into that.
AEG is killing it for us when it comes to games that piqued our interest. Any others from that publisher we should look into? And do the folks here have a favorite publisher they want to mention?
Ive recently been told that airsoft sniper rifles kinda SUCK in airsoft undless u are rich and in the navy/afghanistan .
I want to know what kind of AEG i should get then for abt $150: Ive heard that G&G M4 are the best for a beginner . Also there is the AK47 Tactical Cyma (CM.028-A) which i heard is good.
I really want a gun which:
-won't cost me $200+ -mostly made out of metal + ABS ( is very durable) -allows upgrades -fires and works good -easy to mantain and customize
If u guys have any sugestions for starter AEGs like those mentioned or better, id like to hear them out cuz i dont have a good source of info, so reddit people i ask again for ur help!
