I find it interesting when artists step out of the style of music their widely known for and record one or two songs that are influenced by different styles of music, especially when that style of music is "old school".
I think Selena Gomez's Ring, Ariana Grande's Leave Me Lonely and Jason's Song (Gave It Away), Kali Uchis's Killer and Alessia Cara's Shapeshifter all sound like old school Soul/Jazz sound that gives me Amy Winehouse/Macy Gray vibes.
