Hi all, by now youβve almost certainly seen the news that Voltage is officially shutting down the Lovestruck app. (If you haven't, please see links posted by fellow members on this post and this post, or our post about the official announcement here.) We are absolutely heartbroken, as this game has been with many of us for several years. Weβve all laughed, cried and memed our way through our favorite stories, and gotten close to our favorite characters. This community has brought so many fans together, and the mods are mourning this loss with all of you today.
Thereβs not much we can say to make the whole situation better, but the good news is that this sub will keep its doors open as long as fans want to discuss all these amazing stories. Weβre also providing links and resources to help keep the spirit of Lovestruck alive, and ways to continue reading great content.
Please use this thread to comment your rants, raves, and all other feelings you need to get off your chest. Itβs an emotional time for us all, and I personally wouldnβt blame anyone for being sad or angry. This post will also serve as a reminder to us all to see how many people truly love this game and that we are all one big internet family.

This is going very well very fast! Multiple stories are being put in at once by multiple people, and I'm wondering if anyone else would like to join us? I have 4 people actively working. You don't have to type everything! I'm screen shotting all of the text log and then using google photos 'image from text' tool so i can save my fingers. One episode takes about half an hour. You don't have to do a whole season, just one episode of anything would be superb!

My name is Alpha Williams. I am 23 year old straight male who started playing LGBT otome and visual novels back 2018.
I started with Choices and playing that app and being in choices groups kinda gave me a different Prospective by learning that if I enjoy a story I shouldn't let myself push again from it just because I am playing as the opposite sex. Plus I am serect romantic so I am obsessed with any app or visual novel with greatly written romance.
Which therefore pushed me into Lovestruck which I started back 2019. Villaous Nights was the first series I was into especially having a Black MC (which as a Black Male I liked the representation). Lorelei was the first route I ever finished and then Renzei, I moved to Runa, Zhora, and many more. I loved how this app let us have a female route without having a forced Male MC or letting us pick the gender of the main LI which is the character default personality is written for a Male(Choices I am talking to u).
Also on Facebook group I made many Lovestruck videos which was shockingly popular and since Lovestruck is ending I will try to make more before March just for fun.

Yeah I want to make a youtube channel for it where I upload routes on it but I'm not sure if I'll be allowed even though its ending if I can when I'm done with recording all the routes I can I'll update this post about it
I recently read the news about the closure of Voltage US and the possible end of the Lovestruck app and it made me really sad. The game was important in my life to make me understand and respect myself as a LGBTQIA+ person. I found a lot of representation in the app with characters with the same sexual orientation as mine and ideals similar to mine.
During the early coronavirus pandemic where I started to work much more than usual because I'm a healthcare professional, playing Lovestruck was one of the few happinesses I had, especially Xenia's route.
Even though I am aware of several shortcomings of Voltage's management and the Lovestruck app, I am so grateful for all the stories and the importance they have had in my life. I really want to thank the game's writers and designers for the exceptional work they've done. I don't think I can put into words everything I feel. Unfortunately, there will be stories that don't have an ending and I will always be sad about that, but I will take all the stories and teachings in my heart.

Iβm not really knowledgeable in this particular field, so I was hoping that maybe someone on here could explain something to me.
If Lovestruck gets deleted, would we still be able to use the APK app on Android? Because thatβs separate from the original app, and logically shouldnβt be affected by the og app shutting down, right? Or have I misunderstood the way APK apps work?
Are there certain companies that could purchase Lovestruck? In fact, a friend of mine has already written to a company, but they havenβt answered yet.
I expressed this idea in the comments of another post but I wanted to make a post about it and get feedback.
So I was thinking as a community we can make a fan made continuation of Love Struck. Similar to the likes of Club Penguin rewritten or Toon Town rewritten. It's not uncommon for fans of games to continue them after they've been shut down. This could include archiving finished routes, trying to finish unfinished routes and maybe even making new ones!
Now I don't know how this would work because I haven't got the slightest idea of how game design works.But as a community I'm sure we could figure something out!
I havenβt even finished half of the boy routes and the girl routes, so now I will have to choose the non-hearts options to finish the routes, if anyone knows how we can stop this please let me know!

I'm using a throwaway account here for somewhat obvious reasons
I met this girl around a year ago in my ELA Class, and she is literally one of the most beautiful, nice, kind, and helpful people I've ever met. (I could go on for hours about her traits and what makes her perfect.) I started to become somewhat friends with her (by helping her with technology issues and stuff) and this year we have the same media class. I just don't know how to tell her about how I actually feel, whether its through a note, face-to-face contact, or even something out of the box like coding a thing idk. I haven't talked to her in months because of summer break and other stuff so that's one of my problems.
So reddit, what should I do here. How do I tell her? What should I even say?
