I can't even remember his nickname. Something like Guapo. Not sure the right place to ask this but for months I've been wondering what happened to this dude. They all fell head over heels and then he just as quickly disappeared, quicker than Masvidal. Made me wonder if he too had some esqueletos in his armario.
I guess it runs true to character, but it was weird hearing David Samson vilify John Henry when this sort of business decision would create a viagra like effect to Samson had he been the mastermind behind it. Anyone else?
I would just like to go on record that i love the lour opening song. I sing along to it and hope it stays.
Thereβs been a lot of reminiscing going on lately, and Iβve been around these parts a long time so I figured I do my share.
Obviously, Lambardo is the Steven A Smith of callers, but my second favorite caller of all time has to be the conspiracy theory guy that called into the Lour a couple years ago. Basically, it happened right after Dan left the local hour and the shipping container took over. They were still on 790 the ticket and were trying to get used to doing the show on their own. Naturally, they were taking a shit load of calls.
So, one day they were just taking ALL the calls, maybe they were out late the night before idk, but Mike runs out of callers and decides to take βone last callβ. He goes to conspiracy theory guy. Conspiracy theory guy gets on and just starts spouting all sorts of incoherent stuff. The guy is so noticeably bad, the shipping container stops him and calls him out on being terrible. His response? βTo be quite honest, I didnβt think you guys were actually going to take my call.β Then that episode of the Lour just sort of abruptly ends.
Good times. Fucking love this show.

The El Palacio de los Jugos midfield. Moose juice. Caja chinas. Big, legal blocks. Tony Kornheiser. Some kid with ringworm. Sunburn. Pipo infiltrating Pablito's show. And I'm pretty sure if was Jamele's last day at ESPN.
In my opinion, this is the best hour of show I've heard over the past 5 years.
