The dungeon version of this dude sucks, plz someone help

Well, I took a plunge and entered a shadylooking dungeon in the Search finction on a quest for better fire/bolt/arcane gems.
What I found instead was insane!

Layer 1: Preboss Bonus is top-tier Stunning Deep Sea

Layer 2: There's a Beast Caw Hunter waiting for you above the scourge beast at the far end of the large, bell-doored room. He'll likely drop down and attack as you finish off the beast, but he's prone to rolling and attacking, making him an easy target for your Augur.

Layer 2: At the bottom of the stairs leading to the lever room is a dark tunnel. Walk quietly, at the end is a Madman guarding a chest with 1× Red Jelly -- but his back is turned to you!

Layer 3: 2× Bastard of Loran just sitting in the middle of the room witing for you!

Layer 3: Straight ahead is a closed door with Chine Mainden spiders gathered behind it -- beware! There is a second Maiden on the top part of the area as well, so don't get complacent!

Layer 3: Prelamp area has a bridge with swinging axes and a Loranite Cleric at the opposite end. Timed well, you can hit him with 2 poison knives and roll away while his fireballs whiff into the axes. It should only take 4 knives to kill the Loranite and get across the bridge. Once across, a room full of sitting beast patients syrround a chest containing a Bastard of Loran, and a Madman's Knowledge sits on the opposite wall.

Layer 3: Opposite the bridge with the Loranite Cleric is a closed door. This treasure room holds several Blooming Coldblood Flowers and the Uncanny Blades of Mercy. What a haul in this dungeon!

Check my schedule builder and it switched from Pavol to Lorans, anyone taken a class with him before? If so, what do you think of him?
There’s no ratemyprof on him or much details about him online, I do see that he’s taught courses before at U of C. He’s a grad student getting his PHD too btw.

Plenty of wondrous loot to be found including communion 3, clawmark 3, decent cursed gems (best I've found so far on my first visit was a physical attack +22.5%/ ATK vs beasts UP +4.5%/ Stamina increase +3%) and a blood rock.
Take heed, there are A LOT of enemy hunters lurking... May the good blood guide your way.

Was farming Watchers in Ihyll for 27.2% tempering gems for a new character and I noticed when looking at the Wiki page that there were no glyphs for tempering waning gems. Did some research and realized Watchers don't spawn as a boss in Lower Loran (can't believe I never realized this before).
So what would be ideal to farm for good physical waning gems then? I'm assuming 27.2% is out of the question but maybe there's a boss that can drop 24% gems with good secondaries? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Through the closed door and across a narrow bridge is a large circular room with ×3 Scourge Beasts and a Corpse-Bearing Madman, though your reward will be ×3 Blooming Coldblood Flower.

Down the ladder and lefthand path is a room with a Witch who will summon Mad Ones. However, she's directly across from the tunnel exit with only a single Mad One between you and her. Dash across and finish her!

L3 Main: Two Hunter's dogs and a Madman wait for you in the main room. Up the stairs is a Wotch and some Mad Ones, but turn right and ignore them.

My blood is pumping, adrenaline at an all time high, this was a great boss encounter. Challenging, but fair. Unforgiving, but surmountable.
In preparation for Elden Ring I’ve played through Dark Souls 2 & 3, and now I’m at the tail end of Bloodborne. Many aspects pf Dark Souls 3 will still be my favorite, and Souls 1 because it got me into From Software again(I adored Armored Core series), but this just made me adore Bloodborne that much more all over again. This was just as challenging, and rewarding, as fighting Gael or Nameless King. Can’t wait to see what Elden Ring has in store for us.
