Went through a long-neglected yarn stash yesterday. On the minus side, I had to throw away literally bagfuls of yarn that had carpet beetle and/or moth damage. On the plus side, I found a WIP I had pretty much forgotten about. I bought this as a "something to do at sea" project when we took a cruise in 2006? 2007? (which means previous estimates of 20 years since my last cross stitch were inaccurate. But I digress.) I worked on it on the ship, then set it aside & forgot about it when we got home.
Shockingly, I had put everything back in the original packaging so the floss was still there, the needle untarnished, and the fabric clean. Looking forward to finishing the third frog; it will be a nice break from the large project I've been working on since last February. Pattern is Jiffy Sunset #16758 Tree Frog Trio.

In the last day of 2021, I (mostly) finished my buildout of my Look AC364
I got this frame new off Craigslist from a shady character in Queens. It had a an unfortunate orange headset and bb that made no sense. I didn't have the money to finish it at the time but was able to get it for a good deal, $550 I think. I took off those parts and set about building it up with help of King Kog cycles in Brooklyn.
I've research and sourced every part on the internets and around NYC, mostly for prices cheaper than at a bike shop. Finding a crankset in NYC right now is insane, and lucked out by finding mine at a shop here.
