A list of puns related to "Lipoma"
I have some I think I could reach myself like on my upper leg for example. If you have done your own is there any advice you would give? Such as what you need to buy.
It would be so nice to be able to just do this for myself any time.
I just (on 12/27/21) had surgery to remove my lipoma and thought I'd share my experience.
I noticed a protruding bump on the lower left side of my stomach around mid-late 2018. Got it checked out by my doctor, told me it was a lipoma. Long story short, b/c of school, I ended up delaying the removal until recently, even though the lipoma looked bad and caused discomfort.
My lipoma was located on the lower left side of my abdominal wall. It was just a bit smaller than the size of a golf ball and felt rubbery and firm depending on the day. The lipoma was sensitive and because of its protrusion from my belly, it made things such as sleeping, working out, and contact with that area in general very uncomfortable.
My surgery was on 12/27, and I can say now that this was one of the best decisions I've made. The operation was 30 minutes, and I was put under general anesthesia for the surgery. My scar is just over an inch long and is healing well. I am going to begin applying Mederma gel to it tomorrow after my post-op follow-up.
Conclusion: I wish I had surgery to remove it earlier! I can already feel the difference. No more bulging ball of fat protruding from my stomach. No more pain. No more feeling self-conscious about what others will think about it. Minimal scarring from the surgery, too - which relieved me. Hope this finds someone and is able to reassure them that if you have something like me, you can experience this result too!
Iβve got a bunch of painful bumps under the surface of my skin that are connected to the muscle and nerves in my abdomen and constrict my range of motion. They are also connected to each other; when you massage one in my armpit I can feel it in the ones on my belly and wrist, as if they were all stitched together. They get better or worse based on overall inflammation level from psoriatic arthritis. Prednisone helps a lot.
My rheumatologist doesnβt think I have any connective tissue autoimmune disease markers, which leads me to looking at things like Dercums/lipoma.
No other Dr Iβve showed them to has any idea wtf they are, including my dermatologist.
Watching videos of lipoma removal from this group tonight made me cry at the thought I could get some relief from these things that make me feel like a prisoner in my own body.
Where do I go next?
I have health anxiety so I get stressed over health issues easily. I am f/26 and I have multiple lipomas two on my neck really soft like jelly and very movable. Iβm not worried about them because multiple doctors have told me they are lipomas. But I also have some on my thighs I started really seeing them when I started losing weight around five years ago but I remember noticing them even earlier. They are all in my thighs and they are not as movable as the ones on my neck. They also are not as soft as jelly, not hard but not jelly. My gynaecologist touched one when I was there two years ago and she said it looks like lipoma and then I went to a dermatologist and she also said they are lipomas but like she just touched a few she didnβt examine every single one of them. They havenβt grow and if they did itβs so little I didnβt notice and they donβt hurt but I do think as the years pass I notice more of them. Should I go to another doctor or should I let them be?
Hi! I found a non visible, non painful, soft and movable mass in my lower back 3 months ago. It hasnβt grown or changed. Itβs like 2 cm or less. I went to a dermatologist who wasnβt concerned but for my sake I got an ultrasound. The tech and 2 Drs said deep seated lipoma. Now that I discovered this one (totally by chance while stretching) I have found two more in my back.
Both are free moving, non visible painless and significantly smaller than the original. Very similar to the original as well. I mentioned them to my dermatologist again, she wasnβt too concerned but said letβs be safe and referred me to a general surgeon (who Iβm waiting to see.)
I am 23 and have dealt with bad hypochondria all my life. I was finally able to get off all my meds 2 yrs ago but after discovering these lumps my whole life has been on hold and Iβve really went downhill. My dad has two lipomas in his back.
Now that Iβve found two more Iβm worried that the Drs read my ultrasound wrong. I donβt know how long theyβve been there. Do these sound like lipomas to you all? Thank you.
Looking for advice. Dog has a confirmed lipoma on inner right back leg. Seems to still be growing. Dog is constantly itching/biting it. Two years ago took dog to vet to have it removed. Doctor opened it up and said there was too much muscle over it and it was safer to let it be, as it was not affecting dog too much. It was much smaller at that point. Doctor closed it back up and sent dog home. Since then it has grown. It is the size of a baseball now. Need advice on what to do to provide my dog with relief.

I have 100βs of small BB gun pellet sized lipomas on my arms, legs, basically all over. How will the scarring be if I got surgery? Also what is the chance of them growing back?
Hello, I (22M) have around 18 small lipomas, I got them when I was obese during the first 2 years of college.
But since I lost 20 kg, none of them grow anymore, I don't discover new lipomas anymore and I only have 3 lipomas that are visibles on my forearms. I did a 14 days water fast once to see if they could disappear on their own, and they didn't disappear.
After reading some scientific articles it seems that there is a correlation between lipomas and high cholesterol and alcohol consumption especially red wine. By reducing my alcohol intake and doing intermittent fasting with 1 day fast per week, my lipomas seems to not grow nor appear anymore.
My lipomas seems stable now but I fear that my children will also got lipomas even though none of my parents nor my sisters have any lipomas. Since Familial Multiple Lipomatosis is supposed to be autosomal dominant, I can not inherited it from my parents since they got none.
But does having 18 lipomas even though no one in my family had any lipoma means that it is genetic and so that I have 50% of passing it to my children like for FML?
i have lump under collarbone for like 2 and a half years, lump is always same size, beetween 1,5-2 cm,its fixed but i cant describe if its hard or soft, when im moving fingers on top of that thing i can feel like small veins on top of that or some fatty things that moves but i think that lump is actually under those things, i cant really felt that lump, i dont know how to explain thatπ
Hello everyone! I am 21 (M) and few days ago i discovered a lump in my upper right thigh it is about 1.5 to 2cm maximum and doesn't seems to be very mobile, it is not painful to press normally ( but yesterday i kept touching and checking for atleast hour and two and then it started to hurt when i touch it but now it dont )... I asked my mother and she also have lipomas in her leg thigh and arms and she told me i have them for many many years.. i just wanted to ease my mind because it dont seems to be very mobile...
Also i am atleast 10kg overweight and not very active,
Iβve had enough of the bickering about what to call the unfortunate growth on Tammyβs forehead. Letβs decide once and for all:
Does anyone know, especially from experience, if it's common for lipomas to appear after chemotherapy or during radiotherapy? I am a caregiver for my mother, who has Stage 3 breast cancer. She had a soft mass enlarge between her collarbones during treatment. During her treatment, she also gained weight. Did anyone also have experience with lipomas, or fatty lumps, appearing during treatment? Also, we have already scheduled tests and scans for this concern.
I have a bunch of hard lumps under my skin for years. Finally went to a primary doctor who brushed them off as βprobably lipomasβ. They are tiny and deep under my skin.
Dr Google tells me lipomas are larger and squishy. Wtf π
Had an ultrasound recently at a clinic. I thought what I had was certainly a lipoma βΒ relatively soft, moveable, painless, but when I went to the clinic, they told me it felt too tough to be a lipoma. That freaked me out until they looked at it and saw it was clearly enclosed, small, and likely fluid-filled. They said it was most likely a cyst, but they didn't see any evidence of it being malignant at this point. I got the standard disclaimer to monitor and return if I spot any growth or tenderness, but I've had these for over a year with no changes.
Point is, if you're freaking out about whether your lump is benign or not, lipomas are not the only non-cancerous growths in your body! People can have tons of lumps all over their bodies for various reasons, and if it doesn't seem exactly like a lipoma, it very much is still likely to be benign.
Would you be willing to appear on a TV show to have a Lipoma or Cyst removed for free? Interested on thoughts...
In theory should rad-140 either help shrink the lipoma? Since it is fatty tissue. And in theory would mk-677 make it worse because of the growth hormone influx?
Hello! So I have multiple painful lumps on both of my legs, on the back inner thigh that are moveable and relatively soft. Theyβre symmetric on both sides. I have had multiple doctors feel them and most of them say they canβt feel anything but myself and my family have all felt them clearly. I finally went to get them imaged so I could discuss removal and they didnβt show up on ultrasound. Is there any other imaging test that might visualize them? Theyβre very painful when I sit, and being that Iβm a student, Iβm basically in pain every day. Iβm ready to take them out myself.
Iβve been desperately trying to find links for the formation of lipomas/lipomatosis. One thing I canβt help but notice is the Indians that have a lot of them (not being racist). For example, any videos about lipoma information are made my Indian doctors. Any multiple lipoma surgery videos are on Indians, etc.
Anyone have ideas to what can be causing this? I believe there is definitely a link.
