###HISTORY
Joseran Goodbrother is an estuary. From his birth the many tides of fate have pulled upon him, urging him toward this role or that. Rather than yield, he has learned to mediate - melding the best of both his worlds into a union that is stronger than both.
Born to the Lord of Hammerhorn, Joseran knew his future from his youth - he would be the lord after the passing of his father, and rule a small keep on a small island in a small backwater of a wider world. Whilst some might find themselves too proud or too haughty for such a fate; Joseran reveled in it. He poured himself into the land, and learned to love Hammerhorn and all of Great Wyk for what it was - his home and domain.
This childish love for one’s place of birth soon blossomed into something more, leading to Joseran’s easy manner and the charisma that draws men to him. He has always been known for his leadership, having led a gang of boys in adventures across all of Great Wyk - even to the ruins of the ancient Hoare Castle, where cold winds howled like wraiths through the fallen towers of ancient kings. Like wolves playing at the hunt, their youthful adventures soon became training for more; midnight raids upon the kitchens taught cunning, and teamwork, whilst ambushes upon thralls taught stealth and surprise. But when Maron Goodbrother placed a hammer into his young son’s hands, the boy knew that his days as a carefree lad were soon over. Soon enough, he would be a man grown.

How much charm is "High" enough so that lawspeaker finally starts giving influence. I have 100 charm so far and it still just lowers my influence.

I recently joined a kingdom and started working on my influence. Yet I've gotten a passive called Lawspeakers which lowers my influence by -1 every day making it virtually impossible to gain a lot of influence. Was wondering if anybody knew where it came from
I haven't been in a faction that hasn't had it enabled yet. And you can't even bloody change it without using influence, which it actively takes away.
Players in early to mid game are just punished for being in a faction, as they likely will lose all the influence they began with and go to negative, unless to go nuts trying to gain more. Even being in an army led by the KING of your faction doesn't give enough to cover the -1 Lawspeakers gives. A player may get to 100+ army size with decent ranked troops, but will be unable to create an army to actually get anything done in a war. Why?

In addition to having to remember the law, what other roles/responsibilities did a lawspeaker have in norse society around 800-1200? Were there variation due to geography or time?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
