A list of puns related to "Lamppost"
I never exactly enjoyed my nightly walk home, but at least I could see where I was going without a torch.
A lot of sectarian flags; Union flag, Ulster banner mostly but a few UVF and UDA have appeared overnight on the lampposts in my area.
I just got off the phone with the PSNI after reporting it. The officer was very friendly and polite but essentially told me there's a protocol for these situations that involves my complaint being forwarded to a superior who is in charge of situations like that in my area. If they believe there to be an issue, they will talk to the local community representatives and try to find some common ground.
He said they have to do it like this because loyalists will simply kick off and cause trouble.
I just find it mind boggling that I have to put up with these scummy things on the lampposts because loyalists might throw a tantrum and wreck up the place.
I'm very doubtful the flags will be removed which just leaves me feeling really irritated.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do with regards to the flags? They're too high up for me to grab with a pole etc...
Or has anyone had any luck with the PSNI actually removing flags?
Cheers guys.
Honestly - some people truly are thick as pigshit.
Thanks, Dishonored.
Most pigeons don't defecate on you, but it happened enough times that you now have to be wary every single time you walk under said lampposts.
This analogy might be a little silly, but in case some people wondered what it feels like to exist as a woman at night, this is it. Except that these lampposts are everywhere and the feeling of imminent danger never goes away.
I once saw a schematic or a artists rendering of what a proposed lighting system could look like. The design was very old and inefficient but it roughly resembled one of those dock loading machines with the 4 legs and it hung above the city block or town. If anyone knows what Iβm talking about please help me out.
