A list of puns related to "Kappa Alpha Theta"
Uchicagoβs Kappa Alpha Theta chapter just posted an apology for racist behavior towards ppl in their chapter. It didnβt sound very genuine to me and itβs sort of sad that they only apologized for their behavior once someone called them out for it....i was thinking of rushing a sorority but this definitely turned me off. What are all your thoughts on this issue and sororities at UChicago as a whole? Are a lot of sororities like Kappa Alpha Theta?
Right in the wake of Indiana Universityβs Chapter of Chi Omega, Kappa Alpha Theta may go in the same way. Itβs been confirmed that they were not allowed to participate in recruitment. I hope that they arenβt kicked off of campus as theyβre an Alpha chapter and they seem like great girls. This is just so sad to me.

TLAM TO ALL MY THETAS OUT THERE!!!
If youβre a theta sister, whatβs been your favorite theta memory?
There are some basic rules to this;
(1.) The aim of the thread is to only talk about the sorority in the title. Wait until itβs that sororityβs turn to roast them.
(2.) Put some effort in; "Lol Zeta" and "Who?" aren't roasts, they're a TSM comment section post at best.
(3.) If you have a story/roast about a chapter at your school, that's fair game. Roasts don't have to be about the sorority on a national scale.
(4.) We're going in alphabetical order, but some smaller sorority might get paired with a bigger one.
(5.) This is for fun. Donβt be a geed and get pissed off over Internet comments.

Hello,
I have a friend who wants to join kappa alpha theta but she is married. Anyone know if this is an issue?
Thanks
I'm wondering what the hell happened, and the news articles don't say very much.
poor quality proof that: Imgur (with student ID and a page of my Vagina Monologues script)
Before any newspaper article was even conceived, I wrote a quite a long letter to the editors of several local newspapers. It was intended to be an open letter to the guests of the Kappa Alpha Theta spring formal.
Here's the WSJ article: http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/education/university/uw-madison-looking-into-claims-students-disrupted-vagina-monologues/article_fe2c5d72-348a-575f-b5a6-9d6cac7d3139.html
Here's what another cast member and I truly wish to express about the whole thing, in response to the original event, its publication, and the aftermath of the article:
It was a really unfortunate incident that came at a point of intense vulnerability. our reaction was equally as intense. This whole story has been sensationalized. The escalation of the incident turned the whole event, which promotes solidarity and support among women (and the men who care about them) into a divisive issue.
Sadly, the media's interest is in the tumult between the two groups of women, instead all of the good that comes out of BOTH organizations. Both organizations are full of hardworking women who want to make the world a better place. Unfortunately, the names of both organizations have been marred by this event.
We have no desire to publicly shame Kappa Alpha Theta or their guests. There's nothing shameful in standing up and saying, "I did something wrong, and I'm really sorry." We just wanted someone to say "We're sorry," and for the cast, UNIDOS, all the people who put their hard work into the production, and all of the people in the audience to be able to hear it.
Thanks for reading.

I am a prospective freshman at the University of Texas at Austin as a business major. Currently thinking about Greek life, and would like to hear some insight on the 4 business fraternities available. Thanks.
According to this article there is now a lambda variant of COVID that is impacting people mostly in South America.
This of course is coming right in the middle of the Delta variant outbreak in the United States and other places.
In the greek alphabet, Delta is the 4th letter and Lambda is the 11th. So what happened to all the letters in between? Are there Epsilon-Kappa variants in other parts of the world that we just havent heard of?
If not, why did we skip those letters in our scientific naming scheme for virus variants?
Hello,
I am a cc student and I recently decided that I want to pursue nursing. I have the option to join Phi Theta Kappa and I am wondering if it would be a wise decision to join PTK for the supposed scholarship opportunities and the possibility that it will look good on my resume. For reference, I live in California and the nursing programs here are highly competitive which makes me think that joining PTK might set me apart from other nursing candidates although I'm not entirely sure. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on whether I should or should not join? The fee is rather expensive ($85) and I am not sure if I should pay that much if I won't get anything out of it. Thank you.

Thank you to /u/teemoSelanne for the template and the idea.
I know that there are a lot of other sororities that didn't make it on this list, so at the end we'll have a megathread for all of the ones that didn't make this original list.
