Almost got pickpocketed at Gedaechtniskirche Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church
My friend was roaming around the church and 3 girls (probably in their 20s) surrounded him and asked him if he could spare a few Euros for donation for visual/hearing impaired and he paid 5 Euros. He was asked to sign something and one of them hugged him while the other got her hands into his wallet (by covering it with a red colored writing pad) and took all the money but he was quick to realize what was happening and he yelled at them saying all his money was gone and they just dropped the money on the ground and walked away. He is new in the city and was so shook that he couldn't draw attention to these girls. He lost maybe 10 Euros but the rest he got.

Attempting to find a potentially "lost" photograph of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Can you help me /r/monarchism?
Some backstory: i'm currently reading a book published in 1914 called "The Kaiser: A Book About The Most Interesting Man in Europe" by a "Ada Don Dickinson". In Chapter XII, titled "William, The Vain, Versatile, And Indiscreet", I found this curious passage:
"There is an amusing story about a mysterious photograph which is never to be seen in the shops, and of which only a very few copies exist. The Emperor is shown seated on a throne, with an ermine cloak about his shoulders and the imperial sceptre and globe in his hands, while on his head rests what appears to be the crown of Charlemagne. The astonished beholder asks himself, "How can this be? William has never been crowned Emperor. He is merely the German Emperor, not yet Emperor of Germany." True; but the Kaiser has already ardently desired this distinction, and once it is said his hopes were raised so high that a special throne was built according to the specifications of a painstaking antiquarian, and an imitation stucco-work crown was constructed, as the real one proved to be too small. Then there was a private rehearsal and this photograph was taken."
After reading the passage, I attempted to do some digging and couldn't find a trace. Despite the hundreds of photos of Kaiser Wilhelm available, none could be found that seems to be exactly what the passage is talking about; however, I do have a portrait and a photo that seems close, albeit missing some details.

I don't believe the supposed photo is propaganda due to the author being pretty sympathetic to the Kaiser, even in 1914, and praising him for multiple accomplishments during his rule. In addition, along with the portrait, there is evidence of a German State Crown, it being a wooden model and a replica of Charlemagne's crown, though with some details changed; however, it wouldn't exactly fit the timeline that the passage describes since it apparently existed since 1871. In addition, there is also the Crown of Wilhelm II, though I don't believe its the same crown that the passage describes due to it being much nicer then what you would exp
