A list of puns related to "Ducal"
Below is how I'm able to pull them off with 90% reliability, and 10% of the time it's not that I outright lose but something goes wrong like one of the party members dies or someone gets hit by chaos and kills an innocent person causing a rep loss.
Ducal Palace fight:
First I buff up in the adjacent room and use potions as needed (at least Haste or potions of speed), I summon skeletons but wand of summoning is good too. I will use webs, so free action items (2 free action rings, Spiderbane, potions of freedom) are key but equip/drink them after the Haste/Speed potions. At the end, I cast invisibility 10' radius, but potions of invisibility should work fine too. Then I move my mages to the back of the room where Sarevok is hanging out, and move the summons to the middle, my tanks near the earls that we need to protect, and some ranged characters to the other end of the room.
Next I talk to one of the earls with a tank to break invisibility and to start the encounter. After everyone is finished talking, there's a small pause, and I don't wait for this to end as the doppelgangers start turning, instead I pause the game as soon as the talking is finished and have my mages cast webs into the middle of the room, ideally two double webs from minor sequencers. Greater Malison would probably help too and later Slow (after the doppelganger have turned). Then I unpause and before the webs land the first doppelganger will normally change (game auto-pauses). I attack that doppelganger and unpause. The webs will now land and they should tie up enough of the doppelgangers that your party members in the middle with freedom of movement can cut them up. The summons will get stuck too half the time, but when not stuck they help with the fight.
The keys are to target the doppelgangers near the earls, and also target the doppelganger mage as soon as he turns (he's a huge danger). Use arrows of dispelling on him as needed. The most dangerous part is him getting a spell off that will confuse one of your party members and cause you to kill innocent people. Doppelganger assassins are annoying too so you may have to survive a backstab, but just micromanage the character they target into safety and use healing potions. After the doppelgangers are dead, you'll have to talk to one of the earls (they might be stuck in webs too but that won't aggro them), and Sarevok turns hostile. Just make sure you don't take too much damage from him with any one character, so run away from hi

I'm playing BG:EE 2.6 with the latest SCS mod from the Gibberlings3 portal. There aren't any other mods. I've run into a bug that's seems to have affected other players, but can't find a good solution.
Basically the problem is once I've defeated the doppelgangers and Sarevok teleports out, a duplicate version of Winski the mage appears that can't be interacted with. Also, I am unable to interact with any of the grand dukes to continue the story. I also notice that if both dukes survive that Lilla Jannath simply disappears and I can't find her anywhere. If Belt dies, then Jannath is still there but I can't interact with her.
I posted on the Beamdog forums as well as the G3 forums on this but haven't gotten any answers back.
Anyone else seen this bug? Any solutions?
Thanks
EDIT: The work around for this problem is to go into the SCS installer in the game directory, and re-run it. Uninstall the improved final battle component and that will fix the problem.
Hey all, got a lore question after doing some wiki research on Daggerford and hoping you can help.
In the wiki, it talks about a fight between a silver and white dragon and the white dragon is cast to toril where it comes and destroys a city called Delimbiyran (no wiki stub and I can't find it on any map). It goes on to talk about how the seat of power was moved and castle Ducal was built on the ruins of Morlin castle.
I'm trying to confirm whether Morlin castle was part of the city that was destroyed by the dragon though, or if that's a seperate location (I believe the later to be the case). If i'm understanding it right, Morlin was the vampire Artor's castle and some unspecified event or series of events is what caused him to flee the castle (and presumbably allow its destruction-- id probably find out if i'd read the book referenced in footnotes?) If that's the case, where was this city destroyed by the white dragon?
Also - anyone got tips for better navigated the maps on the wiki? Doesn't seem like there's a good way to just browse maps and scope out locations by looking at them?
I buy 5 days ago royal and ducal membership. After todays new game relase i lost my ducal and royal membership. Its active to buy in shop.

Anyone have same issue?
Hi,
So i've just won a huge war against alfred as the count of leon + 2 other allies. I had stockpiled gold from some amazing ransoms i got and i had a total of 800+ by the end of this war. I used some to make my duchy of cornwall title which i seized ridiculously early because my diplomat managed to get a shortened truce right after i took the county from him. I still have like 400+ to play around with and its 880 AD. What should i invest in?
I'm about to try and finish Wessex off by befriending a person who could be swayed to join me. Alfred has 1/3 of his total army right now and two infant sons. I'm not sure whether i need military strength right now to break wessex or economy, hence the question about ducal buildings.
In my campaign, the party has been laying low at the Helm and Cloak, scoping out the Vanthumper Villa in preparation for a heist. While they've been there, Patriars have been in and out, and seem tenser than usual. Thalamra is pushing for an election to make her Grand Duke, and the gossip among the patriars is that she's basically a shoo in. The real question is who becomes the 4th duke?
Who are the most likely rumored candidates and why? Basically what I'm asking is what sort of gossip might the party have heard leading up to the election. What names are they tossing about and why? A good example is this idea I had: "I heard that secretly, Albert Durinbold is a front runner. He's ACTUALLY A VAMPIRE! But he feeds off the families sheep stock, so nobody's noticed up to now. He's using his vampiric charms to get in good with the other dukes. I saw him schmoozing up Belynne Stelmane at the last Eomane party myself!"
What I'm not asking for is what ACTUALLY happens with the election - I already know that. This is just getting random rumors to give to the players that they've heard about the upcoming election. (Because the Patriars certainly don't know what's about to happen.) So, what in character comments might the players overhear in the main room of the Helm and Cloak right before the election?
So, I've been playing as a vassal of the Abbasids and united the Caliphate's entire Mediterranean coast under my rule. I recently succeeded in invading Egypt in one swell swoop after I conquered the Sinai Peninsula some decades ago. My succession law currently has one of my sons inheriting the Kingdom of Egypt and I want my brother to rule Egypt instead. My pops disinherited him and I promised it to him after I restored his inheritance. Before I grant him all of Egypt, though, I was wondering if there was some way to move the Sinai duchy to my own kingdom of Syria. I figured the "Integrate Title" action for my Chancellor was the way to go, but 1) I can't select the Sinai and 2) my Sultan is 65 years old and I'm expecting him to die sometime soon.
I figure there's some way to move the duchy because up north near Aleppo (my primary title), one of the duchies, Diyarmudar, moved from being part of the Kingdom of Jazira to the Kingdom of Syria with no input from me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I do have a number of mods installed, but I don't think any of them would affect this specific question. The only balance-changing mod I'm using is Dieu et Mon Droit.
Many of you might be aware that under certain conditions, your ducal titles can be changed. Most people are aware that Norse have Jarls, Russians get Grand Princes, and tribal leaders are called Chiefs. However I have noticed that if you form the Duchy of Viennois, the duke is called the Dauphin, and the duchy is known as a Dauphinate. If you play as a Sardinian, your ducal titles will be known as Archonates. Does anyone have any other examples of this?
Consuelo Vanderbilt complained about the lack of indoor plumbing when she arrived at Blenheim.
I'm not sure what happened.
I'm duke of Aquitaine under the King of France, the Duke of Poitou holds counties that are de jure Aquitaine.
I used to have de jure claims on the Duke of Poitou but could not press them because of Realms laws (and no hooks on liege). Then my character died, and I had barely the time to look at my new character that he was assassinated by his son, so I got to play as the sadistic kinslayer grandson of the original character.
But now, I apparently have no more de jure claims on the Duke of Poitou ?
Is that gated behind some lifestyle perk I had with the original char ? Is this a bug ?
