A list of puns related to "Joan Cusack"
Doing a rewatch and just watched that scene where she pretends to be Monica and her and Frank go to parenting class. Friggin hilarious! Possibly the funniest scene in the entire series.
Addams Family Values is one of those films I never stop laughing at. The Camp Chippewa scenes, Debbie trying to kill Uncle Fester and failing, Wednesday smiling for the first time.
Or the Malibu Barbie monologue and what about Morticia doing a speech about how awful and disgusting Debbie is (and respecting her for it) yet....PASTEL. What a amusing film to watch.
My wife and I are watching Shameless and this show makes me realize just how good of an actor Joan Cusack is yet, sheβs overshadowed by her brotherβs fame. She has so much range and her line delivery and the little nuances she brings to each one of her roles is incredible. If you think of the difference in her role in Addams Family Values and Sheila on Shameless, and every role sheβs played in betweenβ¦IMO, isnβt even comparable to the roles John has played over the years. John Cusack for the most part is justβ¦John Cusackβ¦
I randomly remembered Joan Cusack and how funny I found her in "In and Out" and "Addams Family Values"
I've seen the Toy Story movies btw
She totally deserved a supp. actress nom for this film. She completely killed it! Going from sweet to demented psycho to hilarious in seconds, showing her talent and diversity as a comedic actress.
Don't get me wrong, the entire cast was great (Huston, Lloyd, Ricci, Julia) but Joan's screen presence was truly second to none and, even in her most maniacal scenes, she never failed to provide comic relief and endless entertainment, truly a blast to watch. Her ending speech ("MA-LI-BU BAR-BIE!") is one of the best, most hilariously dark and fucked up villain monologues I've ever heard. If she was nominated for "Working Girl" and "In & Out", why not this one?
Truly, one of many great comedic performances overlooked by the Academy. What do you think?
She genuinely seems like a nervous wreck always making food, twitching with her hands, like she portrays a caring and loving, who is OCD and anxiety filled and that can be hard to portray. Any thoughts?
I wish she had as many opportunities to star in movies as her brother who is a good actor as well. But I donβt see anything dynamic in him when I watch movies of his. Joanβs characters are always so robust. Never one dimensional
I keep seeing things that say another lady played Sheila in the pilot, but I remember Joan Cusack being Sheila in the Pilot?
Edit: Here is one of several places Iβve seen this said. But Joan was in the pilot.
Especially in Addams Family Values as Debbie? https://youtu.be/g9OhykhqC2Q
Something in Shannonβs voice, probably the slight lisp on the Ses, calls comedic goddess and straight-up legend Joan Cusack to mind.
Plus, her facial expressions in her talking heads recall Cusack as Debbie big-time.
Anyone else see it, or is it just me?
Also, Shannonβs friend Sabrina has the best reactions ever.
During the filming of One Crazy Summer (1986) John Cusack was struck by lightning. His spirit was released and came to inhabit two other beings, whom we now know as Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage. Before this time, Keanu and Nicolas (known by their spirit names Kahao and Na'zeel) were immortal shells, passing through life without conscience. There is evidence of both Keanu and Nicolas in past lives. After the division of spirit, they were inhabited with the dark and light spirits of John Cusack, each given half of his acting ability. Joan Cusack took the mantle from John Cusack, and filmed the remainder of One Crazy Summer dressed in his clothes. When brought together, Nicolas Cage and Keanu Reeves repel each other like magnets. The only way to return the spirits to John Cusack is with the amulet, currently in the possession of Johnny Depp. However, Depp needs permission from his creator (Tim Burton) to use the amulet, and Tim Burton is the one who caused the lightning strike to begin with.
