This topic has been on my mind lately as I am leading on some exciting new projects at work, and it made me reflect on how far I've come from the Pickme I was half a decade ago.
At my previous company, I had an office romance. The guy in question showed no interest in me when I first started there (Red Flag #1) then several months later out of the blue lovebombed me HARD. And I fell for it, hook, line and sinker (little did I know that the previous girl in the company had stopped sleeping with him and he needed new narcissistic supply).
Lesson #1 If a guy is flirting with you at work - he has done this before. This is not his first rodeo. He's confident hitting on you because he's had success in the past. These men will turn on the charm and make you feel special - you're not. Don't be flattered by his attention. He's done a scan of the perimeter and made a calculated guess that you're the most likely candidate to fall for his bullshit. Men like this will typically target someone new in the company as they will be less likely to be aware of his reputation. They will turn on the charisma so you can't imagine that such a charming, wonderful guy would ever be a serial fuckboy,
First, he blabbed to everyone in the office that I was his girlfriend.
Lesson #2 If you're sleeping together - he will tell everyone. He'll be all "sure babe, me too" when you say you want to be discreet, but rest assured he will be telling his bros in the office everything. Don't have sex with a co-worker if you're not comfortable with EVERYONE you work with knowing about it. He WANTS people to be gossiping about this. If he wanted to keep his personal and professional life separate, he wouldn't be having sex with people he works with.
Then he started sleeping with the ex again. Then started sleeping with another woman in the company after I dumped him, while he was triangulating me, the ex and the new girl, trying to make us all jealous and compete for his attention.
**Lesson #3 Men like this thrive on drama. He gets an ego boost from feeling like the office stud. He doesn't give a fuck about maintaining personal or professional boundaries and will treat the office as a hunting ground. He also has far less to lose because a woman's reputation will ALWAYS suffer more. These men will also typically target women in junior positions because they're more expendable and have less power and clout if they wanted to report him/make a move against him. Having began playing in the '80s I find that hacking my games is an inherent part of this hobby. But more recently I'm finding that more and more players want to play strictly RAW.
To me this hurts the game. I believe we all agree that every table is different. Being different how can we play by a single rule set?
But that is just my opinion. I've heard others state that having shifting rules makes it difficult to jump between games. I've also heard complaints about DMs changing rules on a whim (this I consider a problem DM, not a rules problem). These complaints are more than fair.
Anyway, lets try an have a civil discussion and attempt to understand the various approaches that we all bring to the hobby. None are wrong, they are merely preferences.

After my husband and I had an unexpected and unwanted pregnancy about two years ago, we started talking about birth control and he immediately volunteered to get a vasectomy. He said that it's less invasive, cheaper, not as big of a deal, and plus he knows I'm terrified of being put under general anesthesia. He said he would have it scheduled in three months.
A year later, he finally schedules the vasectomy, but gets sick the night before and cancels. Then he never reschedules. Backstory: I have a pretty serious mental illness, and the 12 weeks I was pregnant were a complete fucking nightmare. I was having panic attacks and felt like I had an alien living in me and was starting to get suicidal. I told my husband several times that I would not do well if I got pregnant again, trying to impress upon him how important it was to me that he get the procedure. Every single time we have sex, even though we use a condom, I worry about getting pregnant, and it's disruptive.
Almost 2 years on and I finally told my OBGYN that I wanted my tubes tied at my last pap smear. I told my husband about my plans, and he said he was sorry that he hadn't got the vasectomy done yet, but that he was worried his balls would hurt. And I'm sure they would have. But getting the fucking abortion hurt, getting rid of the gas from the laparoscopic surgery will hurt, and on top of all of that, now I'm having to deal with my phobia of anesthesia. The vasectomy was also less than half as much as the tubal ligation is. I mean what the fuck? I'm sorry that balls hurt, but so do parts of everyone else's fucking body. I'm trying to vent about this here so that I don't have a shitty attitude with him for a week about it, because I'm pissed.
Edit: I love this sub until the "men's rights" representatives inevitably show up and start acting like the oracles at Delphi. I see this happen all the time here. Look, incels, just because a woman has some expectations that the man she is married to will follow through on his word doesn't make her an unreasonable bitch. There are several things Iβd want in life, but they all mostly culminate into one thing: happiness. To me, Iβd be happy knowing that I have for the most part made the correct decisions, optimizing and following my schedules, budgets, etc. perfectly, contributing to the people around me to make a greater society for everybody, and to know that people love me for me.
Describe your ideal world, then describe the opposite of your ideal world.
Ideally, Iβd like a world where BOTH productions of the industries are optimized, AND where the majority of the world is happy, along with people have strong understandings of others. To me, Iβd want to see a world where nobody- NOT A SINGLE SOUL- will be left behind, and Iβd like to see a world where everybody wants to help the people around them, not just being confined. Iβd also like to see all forms of bigotry- racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia- disappear; I believe bigotry can be overcome through understanding and a wider social net that would compel people to work with others, and not feel compelled to have an βenemyβ whom they see as competing against them through the form of race, sex, class, etc.
The most horrid, repulsive world to me would be one where society is so utterly stratified, ignorant, and clinging that people no longer see the bigger picture- only themselves. This would be an almost 1984-esque society, where information is deliberately wrong, people are compelled to fight against other classes to βkeep their position on the totem pole,β and where people are just pawns to a soulless, repugnant system.

What are your short term goals and long term goals? How will you go about attaining each of them?
Short term goals, nothing much, really. I live day by day, contented but tired and exhausted, but that's the life of a working adult. Probably crafting EDH recipes and putting them in Forge to play-test against AI or any websites (currently using Moxfield) to draw sample hand. Once the monthly funds are in, I'll decide what to get. My current EDH collection are my brainchildren.
Long term goals? Blame it on sci-fi but, I'm looking to upload my consciousness into an android body. FΜ·lΝ‘ΜeΝ’Μ΄sΝΝhΝΜ¨ isΜ·Ν Μ§Μ΅ΜwΝΜΆΝeΝakΜΆΝΝ , I mean, flesh is temporary. I want to live as long as possible, natural or unnatural. There's so much more to see from the quantum level to the observable universe and beyond.
So much more to learn, so little time. I'm not one for reading, but I enjoy casually munching on knowledge when I stumble upon them. Bits and pieces. Maybe an android body will allow for knowledge downloading, more permanent that way. My ideal world would be one without violence, human complications and suffering. A world of technological advancement, where everyone's needs are met and the focus is on exploration, science, philosophy and recreation. Disagreements can be resolved peacefully, and truth is upheld. Humans can celebrate their individuality and explore vices in isolated virtual worlds, conscious enough to not bring them into the real world.
Opposite would be the darkest parts of humanity as we are now, but scattered throughout the globe. People who just can't accept truth and facts, an abundance of quarrel and bloodshed, and group dynamics complicated by human nature itself. Imagine inefficiency, senseless cruelty, debauchery, regression.

So, before we get started I thought I should at least mention that I'm a bit of a mess as a person and some of these answers may not make complete sense all the time... possibly. Also, this is the first time I've done the Color-Trial... unless I did it and forgot about it? Which... honestly I wouldn't put past me. Anyways, let's go.
What are your short term goals and long term goals? How will you go about attaining each of them?
Well, my only real short term goals are to be happy and learn. My long and short term goals share at the same starting point, but in trying to connect them, it gets messy. So... yeah. Short term, I just want to live a life I enjoy, I want to experience things I enjoy, explore new ideas, understand whatever interests me in the moment. The short term is honestly very hard for me to pin down. Long term, however, I can at least put into some semblance of coherence. Long term goals include becoming independent as an individual, figuring out who I am (laughs in gender-identity crisis for the last six+ months), I want to find someone who is... god that sounds corny... you know, someone I can love for who they are and who can love me for who I am, flaws and all; I would love to write a book someday, I would love to design things. Basically, my long term goal is just my short term goal stretched. I just want to enjoy a life worth living, one where I can follow passions and understand anything that sparks joy.

My ideal world is a society run by the individuals that make it up, not through government. but through the best parts of human nature such as empathy. It is a world where everyone has a say in what goes on, no voice is lost to the crowd, and the society uses each person to their greatest strengths. It is a world where natural and unnatural blend, where almost nothing is off-limits (You know... no random senseless murder), where people are allowed to love who they love, believe what they believe, and learn and do whatever they desire. It is a world forged not out of similarity, but out of uniqueness, where no one is a copy, and everyone fits some purpose, even if the entire 'machine' has to be rebuilt from the ground up to accommodate them and individuals like them, where uniqueness is valued, but bonds breach that barrier, to create something truly greater than its parts.

In Generic Super Academy, there's a power called Inviolate Body. At the cosmic level, it gives immunity to exotic effects. What do you think is included in that? Is magic? Would you be immune to things like time stops, the infinity stones or similar? Obviously, physical damage will still work, but would literally anything else? If combined with Inviolate Mind, would you be immune to everythng except physical damage?
Inviolate Bodyβ (100cp) Your body is a temple, as they say, and you benefit from such via several supernatural abilities related to it.
At Street Tier you have no need to eat, drink, breathe, produce human waste, or sleep, and are not adversely affected by environments with extreme high or low pressure such as the bottom of the ocean or the upper atmosphere or extreme temperature such as near the heart of a volcano or Antarctica.
At National Tier you are further immune to all forms of poison, sickness, and disease mundane or otherwise and are immune to the harmful effects of radiation alongside truly extreme environments such as being in space.
At Global Tier you are biologically immortal and utterly tireless, having unlimited stamina. You will age to your physical prime but no further.
