A list of puns related to "International Yard And Pound"
Our neighborhood doesnβt allow fences due to aestheticβs because we are on a nature preserve. We just bought the home this summer and didnβt know the rule before buying/rookie mistake. Our next home we will definitely be making sure we can have a fence. I have two tiny Pomeranians and although Iβve gotten them professionally trained, Iβll admit they are not perfect. They like to bark and although are friendly and want to play I donβt socialize them with other dogs much because everyone out here has fairly large dogs. Iβve had a few scares in the past were even though people say their dogs are friendly mine are just so small other dogs have either played to rough and on one occasion tried to attack. So I just donβt trust anyoneβs dog anymore. Iβd rather be safe than sorry and only let them play with other smaller dogsβ¦ Well our neighbors have a large dog that has zero recall and will run into our yard if we are out there so we try to just not being out at the same time. They donβt leash their dog or have an invisible fence. My dogs also have less than perfect recall so I keep them on one of those long leashes in our yard, have a small portable fence or go to an empty park super early when I want them to run free. I think my neighbors think Iβm antisocial or over reacting as Iβm sure thier dog is nice but Iβd rather not test it. Well, Iβm 9 months pregnant and today I was out with them on thier long leads and the neighbors dog came running into our yard faster than I could gather my dogs together and although luckily no attacks happened it was pure chaos with them all barking and their dog running around our yard chasing mine as Iβm trying to pull them in. Iβm annoyed they canβt just keep their dog on a leash or get an invisible fence as itβs their dog whoβs coming into our yard. My baby is coming soon and it would be nice to not have to worry so much about not being out at the same time as my reaction time might not be as quick to pull them in. They say the people who lived here before didnβt care but we clearly doβ¦
TLDR; AITA for saying they should get a leash or invisible fence for their property because I donβt want their dog in our yard with our dogs? (Permanent fences are not an option).

Itβs a good day when our new 310 pound offensive tackle is more agile than the 180 pound Cornerback that Jerry Jones drafted in the 3rd round........
Or if you have suggestions for Heather yarn that's able to be added up to about 2325yrds* for my pattern. I'm doing the Wacky Weave Squares in medium weight
Edit: *I actually need 2,700yrds
Pinkbike, an online magazine for off-road cyclists asked readers to complete a survey which included questions about their weight and height.
The magazine caters for a worldwide readership but the height and weight questions asked for responses in pounds and feet and inches. This annoyed a few readers who mentioned it in comments to an article about the survey.
A Portuguese rider suggested: Should have had the weight and height in metric units also (it's what most of the world uses btw)
Followed by a couple of responses from the UK:
β’ I have no idea about my weight in pounds so I guessed 200, so did I guess I'm overweight or not??
β’ Kg's all the way for me, I think it's time we embrace the future
An American joked that they should have included "stones" in one comment and later posted: Nah, I actually agree with you; was only joking. Apparently most people missed the joke.
And an Italian: Use the International metric system for God's sake!
This is the first time they have made this survey, so things may change next year.
My neighbours bought a young dog about a month or two ago and it has not been going well at all. English is alsonot my first language so sorry for typing mistakes.
At first they kept it inside however they ended up getting a load of complaints from neighbours, me and my wife included because it would literally bark non stop the moment they left their house. Of course that is annoying enough during the day but they often work nights which made sleeping near impossible.
So they build the dog a doghouse outside and sure enough the barking stopped, however it started digging holes under the fence and eventually got in to my yard, my wife is big on gardening so nearly started crying when we went home and everything was dug up, torn up and broken, including the furniture. I immediatly grabbed the dog, went over to the neighbors, handed them the dog and had a go at them. I got a halfassed apology and a promise it wouldn't happen again, but they refused to pay us back for the stuff their dog had broken. This repeated itself a few days later, same thing happened, halfassed apology, no paying back however this time I told them if it happened again I would take the dog to the pound myself along with a bunch of insults (I was extremely angry, imagine getting your garden wrecked twice within a week.)
A week later it happened again, this time their dog chewed through the fence itself and wrecked the garden again. So I grabbed the dog and took it to the pound(Not a kill pound no worries) when the neighbours came home they started looking frantically and soon realized my garden was wrecked again and came to me. I told them I did exactly what I threatened I would do should it happen again. They lost their shit and demanded I tell them where I took it, threatened to sue and everything. So after making them panic for a bit longer I told them where I took it and told them that I'd be taking them to court for the damages and gave them a rough estimate of how much they owed me which caused them to start crying as they do not have that kind of money. Anyhow they got their dog back and I have been in contact with a buddy of mine who is a lawyer.
Regardless the neighbours were filled in on what happened and most agree I am in the right however several have said what I did was way over the line and suing them would be even worse given their financial predicament.(They work in the restaurant business so had theur hours cut)
So here I am asking for judgement, having been a dog o
... keep reading on reddit β‘I understood foot pounds, and inch pounds. Are yard pounds a thing? Maybe for like those giant bolts in construction?
