A list of puns related to "Ice Nine Kills"
Saw the sub getting spammed with the songs individually, so I figured Iβd create a thread for this banger of an album.
Tracklist:
Hello friends!
So over the course of the pandemic, I started a band with my two best friends and we specifically write songs about horror games! We just released our first song about Resident Evil Village called Maidenβs Blood. Ice Nine Kills is a HUGE inspiration for the way this came out!
We even worked with some of our friends who helped us recreate the voices of Lady D and her daughters in the song! We recorded and mixed the song ourselves too. I play bass, do backing vocals, and mix/master the songs! I would love to know what you all think about it!
I had a cool lyric video made to go along with the song so you can follow the words as you listen. Please give me some feedback on the song! I would love to know what you liked or didnβt like about it. And donβt worry, if you liked this one and want more, there are plenty more in the chamber ready to release in the future :).

Ice Nine Kills has been around 2000, whereas Eskimo Callboy has been around since 2010. However, it wasn't until recently did these bands blow up.
Just saw on Facebook a date got made for one show of their new tour dubbed the "Trinity of Terror". Only date shown is April 6th 2022 at the Monroe Live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sale goes live in ~4 days so I'm sure it's to be announced at any time.
I've been wanting to do this for a while and as soon as I saw u/WayToTheDawn 's post about Darkest Hour I knew I had to do it.
This is for all the people that might want to get into them but don't really know where to start, so, let's go.
Vocalist - Spencer Charnas
Lead Guitarist - Dan Sugarman
Rythm Guitarist - Ricky Armellino
Drums - Patrick Galante
Bass - Joe Occhiuti
Oh boy we don't have enough time for that.
And now, albums.
I am not going to cover the stuff before 2007 because not only it doesn't fit here, it's not on streaming services either, so let's skip to their first album.
This is a pretty decent album for the people that like raw and hardcore influenced punk from the 2000s.
There's a few good songs (Last Words being my favourite song by them from their early stuff) but that's as far as it goes.
This album is where they started taking more influence from metalcore, the album is better than The Burning, but it's not incredible either. There's some really good songs (the 2nd half of the album kinda slaps ngl) but again, that's as far as it goes.
Now THIS is where the fun stuff begins.
Just by the album cover you can notice that the horror influence is starting to appear on their music, but don't judge the book by it's cover, because the album also has some really beautiful moments.
Jonathan being the best example of that. The song is dedicated to a friend of the band called Jonathan that at the point where the song was made, was almost blind (if you read the lyrics it all makes sense), and the song is absolutely amazing.
This album has what I consider to be some of their best material, like The Power In Belief, a song that has one of their best choruses, an emotional bridge, but is still heavy as a whole.

First song I heard was βNature of the Beastβ and I was instantly hooked. They quickly became one of my favorite bands. I was psyched when they received recognition for Silver Scream and was extremely happy they were blowing up.
Havenβt been that impressed with SS2 releases so far so I started poking aroundβ¦no one except Spencer was in the band prior to 2018β¦you gotta ask why and what that will mean for future projects.
End of day, I hope they make it. I love the band, and I love horror, but that shtick is going to run out eventually. I hope they didnβt make long term mistakes for short term gains. I hope whatever happened that caused so many previous members to go their own way remedies itself.
This is probably a shit post from a worried fan whoβs sad they wonβt get more songs focusing on the symphonic metal like βcommunion of the cursedβ and βthe fastest way to a girls heart is through her rib cageβ. Just ignore me as I lament.
Edit: There weβre too many comments along the same lines that I wouldβve ended up spamming with the same response so Iβm just going to put it here.
My issue isnβt the concepts, or horror. Love βem both. But whatβs made INK, INK for the last 11 years is their symphonic metal. They were basically the bone thugs n harmony of metal with how well they were able to travel between singing, high pitch screams, and growls. That unique sound paired with the concepts made for one fucking hell of a unique band. Seems like they dropped the symphonic but kept the concept. And I hope the concept on its own is enough to keep them from a slew of bands that all sound the same.
Also, the 21 years thingβ¦.I get it. They were a garage band in 2000. The band, without the name, has only been around for 3 years. Thatβs what I meant when I said it was an oversimplification.
THE WHOLE THING SUCH A DAMN BANGER
