A list of puns related to "Hydrogen Sulfide"
Iβve heard that taking a biofilm disruptor is crucial for SIBO. However, I have hydrogen sulfide SIBO and some people are saying it is bad if you have hydrogen sulfide while others say it is fine. Should I keep taking it, and if not what is a better biofilm disruptor alternative?
Is there any different treatment for Hydrogen Sulfide SIBO v. Hydrogen SIBO? Right now on Xifaxin, but wondering if there is different anti-biotic courses for the Hydrogen Sulfide version?
I took a the Hydrogen and Methane test only but lately having gas that smells like rotten eggs.
I learned recently that only 1% of your farts are made up of Hydrogen Sulfide. Ocording to OSHA the odor becomes more offensive at 3-5 ppm. If I could increase it to 500-700 ppm it would cause staggering and even death after 30-60 minutes without immediately getting fresh air. 700-1000 can cause rapid unconsciousness or immediate collapse after 1-2 breaths causing your breathing to stop and death within minutes. 1000-2000 ppm will cause instant death. I've tried sulfur supplements like NAC and MSM but they only increase it by a small amount.
Hi everyone, I have nearly finished 14 days of rifaximin antibiotic, yet my dry mouth and dry eye problem is still here and it is related to the sibo. I thought that it would go away after finishing the antibiotic. I have the hydrogen sulfide type of sibo. I have been taking low time forte which has been helping with some of the effects of it over the years. I have been taking mozyme forte for a few days and it has helped with my muscles and my fatigue and my brain and other issues. But I am still quite dry in my mouth and my eyes and still a bit thirsty though that has improved moderately. Do I need a certain probiotics or something? Also I am quite intolerant to sodium, it hurts my eyes where I have corneal neuropathic pain which developed over the past few years from this disease and the dryness, I can drink it in like Pedialyte but that will also feed the sibo. But I for some reason cannot just put salt in water and dilute it. I don't really understand why. So my sodium intake is quite low and I wish I could get it up. I get it from like soy milk. And also egg whites those are high in sulfur so I need to be careful. Any idea what to do next?
I am working on a highly alien planet project right now, and these two compounds are much more abundantly common in the atmosphere than in our world. Beyond the obvious factors such as a lack of Ozone and no oxygen fires, what exactly would effects on life be? Would any specialized organs on a cellular or multicellular level be needed? How would this effect things such as bones, eyes, or lungs?
I forgot where I read this, but it has something with the hydrogen sulfide affecting how the bladder empties. I have massive problems with this the past year. Seems to correlate with my red face and some other possible hydrogen sulfide symptoms.
Also, any idea why Augmentin and Bactrim are recommended for our condition? I sure can confirm Rifixiam makes me feel like hell.
I drove up to norcal Saturday morning and I smelled it for about 5-10 miles on the 405 around carson. It was pretty strong. I drove back home today and the smell still exists except for only about 1 mile. It's my understanding that hydrogen sulfide is toxic. There should be zero tolerance for this leak, its duration, and the little information about it. The public should be told of the concentration levels, possible dangers, and possible voluntary evacuation of the effected area.
In my city, hydrogen sulfide gas has been pervasive in the air for the last month or two due to anaerobic digestion/decay of vegetation in a stagnant water channel. The smell the gas of the gas is like rotten eggs, which is a nuisance and has made a lot of people feel sick. The city released measurements, and the concentration of the gas is about 0.375 ppm on the low end and about 2.125 ppm on the high end.
However, city residents have also been complaining about finding red/rust-like stuff staining their baths/showers even if they clean daily (so it's not mold or bacteria) and the chrome trim on their cars becoming oxidized or corroded. They said the timing of it coincided with the gas problem and think there's some huge public health crisis being covered up by the city. Our city's tap water system is not connected to the channel, so I thought it was just a ridiculous conspiracy theory based on confirmation bias. However, after Googling, it turns out hydrogen sulfide gas/liquid is actually corrosive to metals, though I couldn't find at what concentration.
Now I'm curious: is it possible for hydrogen sulfide gas to affect chrome trim at the concentrations I mentioned above? Is it even remotely possible for it to affect pipes from the outside?
Hey guys so Iβve been dealing with brain fog and I stumbled across a post from a doctor in the uk who said if you have brain fog and body aches it is not leaky gut but instead hydrogen sulfide poisoning. He recommended on his post to try pepto bismol as the primary ingredient bismuth binds with sulfide thus eliminating it. I tried this and literally felt better within 10-15 minutes. I could feel the fog being lifted and was just left with a headache that I solved by hitting the hay. Anyone else feel like the fog and toxicity feeling could be the sulfide produced by SIBO? I just canβt find another explanation for why the pepto bismol literally solves this fog for meβ¦
New episode on the Sibo Doctor podcast really hit home...
They are finding that not all hydrogen sulfide cases aren't as "typical" as they initially thought. They are seeing more and more in clinic that it often looks a lot like LIBO and presents as constipation...
I successfully treated H2S sibo last fall using phase II advanced, Pepto bismol, and molybdenum but I've ALWAYS been a classic methane case. I've had symptoms of h2s on an off for my entire sibo "journey" (last decade) so the fact that these two seem to be more relaxed than initially thought.
Just goes to show, this research is always evolving. Anyone (including practitioners) that work in absolutes (black and white) might be someone you think twice about working with. There's still so much to learn...
I'm finally at a point after 5 years where I can't take feeling like this anymore; the fatigue, stomach pain, poor sleep, anxiety and just misery.
I've decided that I would rather take as many different treatment approaches, even if it is risky, than carry on living like this. I'm too exhausted to do anything, and every time I eat I'm immediately punished afterwards with even more fatigue. I struggle to work every day of the week and I struggle to act normal for my family on the weekends.
What do you guys think is the best choice of antibiotics to take for hydrogen sulfide? I've previous tried some herbals, rifaxmin and double therapy rifaximin and neomycin, but I've had no success at all.
I'm willing to go nuclear and wipe everything out if I have to but I want it to actually have a chance of working. I've seen that part of the treatment for H.pylori is tetracycline, metronidazole and bismuth salts and as they are a sulfur producing bacteria might this have a chance of working?
Has anyone used any antibiotics successfully? I really can't take it anymore.
I need yβall help Reddit!! I have gastritis and silent relflux with constipation, a white tongue for a year, malabsorption, leaky gut, trap gas and esophagitis. I notice every time I take pepto bismuth it really cools everything down specially my stomach which made me feel like it could be hydrogen sulfide sibo.I tested negative for sibo but was flatline and I think I had the glucose not lactulose. So I wanna see what good supplements can yβall recommend for hydrogen sulfide sibo? Iβm tired of having this this, and doctors tell me itβs just anxiety.. even though a SSR stop my silent relflux for some odd reason? (Only was taking the anti depressant because I told the doctor it feels like I have no serotonin) I had to stop it due to heart palpitations. So I saw the protocol for hydrogen sulfide sibo and it is bismuth, Berberine, zinc Caroline for the stomach lining and Molybdenum. Can someone explain to me what bismuth does, Beberine does and molybdenum? Also can you guys links some good supplements for these products so I can check it out? Also are these gastritis friendly from theee products anyone know?
gman will be back with more disturbing facts
Only inside house 1st floor near front door, not present anywhere outside. Checked all bathroom p-traps, drains, toilets, washing machine, and kitchen sink 1st the rotten eggs/musty smell isnβt coming from any bathroom or drain in the house. Itβs a noxious meaty, very musty egg smell terrible for my asthma. At peak the smell is strong enough to travel to 2nd floor from 1st floor. Varies in intensity during the day but always awful at night.
Not the new water heater, AC unit ducts either. Water drains from sinks, toilets etc normally no gurgling. Water doesnβt smell like Sulphur either. The rotten smell seemingly comes from the 1st floor living room walls emanating outwards everywhere else. Smelled electrical outlets too. What could be the plumbing problem? Connected to city sewer no indication of clogged drains or backup. Thank you for serious answers.
I'll start by saying that this is that what goes on in this sub is witchcraft to me, hugely enjoyable witchcraft, but nonetheless.
I live in part of the world that has huge natural production of H2S gas, and also in an industry that is known to produce the same. And I work as an electrical type technician.
So we know that H2S reacts vigorously and devastatingly with copper and silver, both elements used as electrical conductors, along with a lot of the compounds of these such as brass, bronze and copper based wood treatments. This means anything exposed to our work environments tends to turn black and sprout corrosion in weeks to months. I have lots of awful pics of this if anyone likes :/
My question to this sub, if anyone can answer, is there a H2S absorbing material? If we were to seal our expensive electrical and electronic equipment in a reasonable IP rated container is there a chemical we can leave in that space that will protect it?
Any help or advice gratefully received.
Cheers from NZ
Did a sibo test and it was negative. But my symptoms are losing weight, malabsorption, weakness, fatigue, brain fog, farts that smells like sulfur and anxiety with tons of gas inside me
