##Hellenic People's Republic
Forged in the fire of the Greek Civil War, the Hellenic People's Republic (ELD) occupies the northern half of modern-day Greece. In the regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, and parts of Thrace, Thessaly, and the Ionian Islands, the ELD has gone through a long 12 years of existence. Most of the focus of the ruling KKE, which has a strong authoritarian grip over the country's policies, has been the rebuilding and restoration process in the post-war period, as well as the beginning of various communist programs - including community self-sufficiency, the reurbanization of Thessaloniki, and the beginning of a state-socialized childcare system. Reform has been slowed by deteriorating economic conditions.
Politically, the ELD is led by the KKE, with General-Secretary Nikos Zachariadis serving simultaneously as President of the ELD. The trappings of a democratic state exist - the People's Assembly serves as the legislature with 100 Assemblypeople, and selects a Prime Minister. Kostas Koligiannis as served as Prime Minister since 1951. Real power, however, lies within the KKE, with all governmental officials holding a roughly equivalent position in the party. President Nikos Zacharias serving as General-Secretary, Prime Minister Kostas Koligiannis serving as Deputy General-Secretary, and all other cabinet ministers serving on the Politburo. As with most communist parties, power flows from the Party Congress to the Central Committee to the Politburo, with regional party structures in the same vein in each of the six divisions of the ELD.
Within the ELD, the various security services hold a substantial amount of power and influence, as they are essentially the sole thing keeping the KKE in power. #Workers of Greece Rejoice!
With the liberation of Thessaloniki from the monarcho-fascist forces, the Communist Party of Greece, under the leadership of Chairman Nikos Zachariadis, are at last declaring a true worker's state, where all may be equal and enjoy the bounteous fruits of democracy, free from monarcho fascist influence.
The Hellenic People's Republic (Ελληνική Λαϊκή Δημοκρατία, ELD) is declaring itself the legitimate government of all Greece, with its first President being Nikos Zachariadis and its first Prime Minister being Georgios Siantos. The de jure capital is Athens, but due to the city being occupied by the illegitimate Monarcho-Fascist government, Thessaloniki will serve as the capital. Due to the ongoing civil conflict, the first elections are being postponed until the end of the conflict, and the first constitutional convention will occur shortly afterwards. The Democratic Army of Greece will be integrated as the national armed forces of the ELD, and Markos Vafeiadis will serve as its first Chief of Staff.
The National Flag of the ELD shall be a blue flag with a white cross adorning it, in the center shall be a red character (Delta, Δ), representing democracy, and it shall be surrounded by a blue circle.
The first act of this government shall be the elimination of the monarcho-fascist threat from Greece and the liberation of Greek territory from the illegitimate government. Volunteers are required to beat the threat, so to all true patriots, socialists, and willing men of Greece, join the ELD today!

I'll attempt to stabilise the North Hellenic Republic while engaging with the broader social movements within the game. Let's see if we can't at least feed our population.
Many of you think in 2021 that the Hellenic Republic had no industry and didn't prduce anything except food which is far away from reality.We are in the end of the 60s or 1960s, a man named Kontogouris creates a company called namco(don't confuse it with bandai namco :) ), he goes toThessaloniki's International Fair and he presents a new idea the PONY, the PONY was a "international" design from the office of FNF CITROEN a easy to build and cheap car. NAMCO starts to produce this car to a brand new factory in Thessaloniki. Immidieate sucess meets this car. The design and the construction is so successful and the purchase and use costs are so low that makes it sell in large numbers both in the Hellenic Republic as well as abroad (There were also exports to America More than 30,000 PONY were produced and sold). It's been a while but I always enjoyed faffing about here. My goals will be to help Greece's finances, which are doing much better nowadays anyway, and also to maybe do some sort of enosis with Cyprus without Turkey nuking me, as well as general diplomacy in the Atlantic direction.
Hi, I'm new here not sure if this is how you start or if this is meant for the mods only but I would like to claim the state of Greece.
So, that whole last declaim thing? Yeah, turns out when you finish your grad school applications, are moving to a new state for just a few months before going back to school, and drastically improve your mental health, you have more time to think about imaginary internet politics and whatnot. On to the plan!
- Keep New Democracy in power while replacing SYRIZA with KINAL on the left wing of Greek politics, bringing the nation closer to the center
- Pursue integration with the united European Union with Era
- Keep investing in the Balkans and agriculture
- Clean up Athens and Greek cities to be more in line with their non-Balkan counterparts
- Invest heavily in education and research to return Greece to its former glory as a center of arts and sciences
- Maybe sit down with Turkey and try to agree on something regarding Cyprus and the Aegean

By 1936, Greece has endured about two decades of humiliation. As Entente forces launched their Dardanelles campaign, they violated Greek neutrality and nearly forced Greece into civil war between pro-German and pro-Entente forces. Even after Greece reluctantly joined the Entente, it never had the chance to fulfill its Megali Idea, as it was badly humiliated and forced to cede both territory and economic industry to Bulgarians, Germans and Austrians.
Greece has had enough, and it looks toward Belgrade and Bucharest to reverse the string of Greek failures in the region. Over one million Greeks live outside the country, oppressed by Bulgars and Turks, and they will be returned to the homeland by any means necessary - peaceful or violent. Greece does not care who it has to befriend in the process - the backstabbing Entente, the domineering Reichspakt, or even to the Syndicalist bogeyman - to accomplish its foreign policy goals.
By far on of the most powerful republics you can play just about anywhere on the map. With temples you can turn barren land into lucrative trade zones using the dedicate temple abilities. Since republics do not pay tax on trade, you just collect. You also get massive retinue armies paid for by your gold. So once you make the Mediterranean into your swimming pool with all your trade zones, you literally just steam roll everyone into oblivion. Makes for a fun game in any culture. Just note, make sure you get the tax other religions ability as well. It adds to the ridiculousness as you grow your empire. Also with polygamy you can make a massive family extremely quick.
The London Protocol of 3 February 1830 was an agreement between the three Great Powers (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, The Kingdom of France and the Russian Empire), which amended the decisions of the 1829 protocol and established Greece as an independent, sovereign state. As a result of the Greek War of Independence, which had begun in 1821, and the Great Powers' intervention in the conflict in the Battle of Navarino (1827), the creation of some form of Greek state in southern Greece had become certain. In 1827, the Greek Third National Assembly entrusted the governance of the fledgling nation to Ioannis Kapodistrias, who arrived in Greece in January 1828. Alongside his efforts to lay the foundations for a modern state, Kapodistrias undertook negotiations with the Great Powers as to the extent and constitutional status of the new Greek state. In March 1829, the foreign ministers of the Great Powers signed the first London Protocol, according to which Greece would become an autonomous, tributary state under Ottoman suzerainty, under an elected Christian prince and encompassing the heartlands of the Greek uprising, the Morea (Peloponnese), Continental Greece and the Cyclades. Kapodistrias' diplomatic manoeuvres, aided by the Russian victory in the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–29, resulted in a revision of the protocol on 3 February 1830. According to it, Greece would be fully independent from the Ottoman Empire, but its borders were reduced to the Aspropotamos–Spercheios line. Leopold of Saxe-Coburg (the future King of Belgium) was selected as the first King of Greece, but he rejected the offer. The protocol was yet again amended in the London Conference of 1832, which established the final borders of the Kingdom of Greece and gave the crown to the Bavarian prince Otto.
